Imperial H.Q.
5 weeks later

The Imperial Cadets marched forward through the hangar of Imperial H.Q.. Their head leader Task Master Grit haulered "Halt" making everyone of the cadets stop dead center and face towards their leader. "Squad LRC-077 for your inspection" orders were suddenly yelled from Grit making the cadets stop just behind him. The cadets shifted their focus towards Grit and another Imperial officer standing on a hover pad looking down at the cadets saying "Cadets you entered this facility as children and in a few short weeks you will leave as soldiers. By the time you complete your training you will be ready to serve your Emperor. Are you ready to become Stormtroopers?". Once LRC-01 finished his speech all of the cadets hailed "Sir Yes Sir" being permitted to take ease before the training began. Some of the cadets talked to the people they knew with 3 cadets Zare Leonis, Jai Kel, and Dev Morgan taking off their helmets.

Over the past 5 weeks Jai and Dev became very connected. Both of them considered the other a competitor which helped them both push each other to become number one. But Dev was always the one to take the prize away from Jai which only inspired him to become better until he beats him.

As Dev looked down at the helmet he had used for the past 5 weeks his mind was rushing with thoughts. He was thinking about how the Empire had hurt him so badly many years ago and here he was, a cadet serving the Imperials to help terrorize the universe like they did to his home. The more Dev thought about these things the deeper he felt himself drift into his mind until he was brought back up by a hand on his shoulder.

The owner of the hand proceeded to ask "Dev Morgan you in there". Realizing that it was Jai Ezra jokingly chuckled saying "Yeah Dev Morgan's in here alright. That's me". "Wow you must be feeling the pressure" Jai teased Ezra seeing that his friend looked a bit troubled. Ezra knowing that he had to keep his cover especially at this moment said "Sorry who's under the pressure, not the guy who's won every assessment" joking along with Jai. Jai quickly remarked Ezra with "Yeah but today I get to taste victory" lightily pushing his shoulder. Ezra knew that Jai wasn't serious since he said that every single time he lost. So Ezra wanted to remind Jai that saying "You said that yesterday and went hungry" hitting his helmet against Jai's.

The two then went at each other's shoulder laughing as the platform began lowering down into a well. As the levels lowered they heard their instructor say "Cadets you are descending into the well and must climb out with all deliberate speed. The first 3 will be given the honor of serving as Imperial aid's, those who lose however will be serving task master grit amd wished they stayed at the bottom of that well".

This made things become more interesting, not only did they have to get out of a deep hole, but the reward was serving Imperial H.Q.. Jai being very confident announced to all the cadets "I'm taking that prize" getting shoved by another cadet named Oleg saying "not today Kell". Oleg was the jealous one of the cadets, not because he was one of the worst of the squad, but because he was always behind Ezra and Jai in every training session. Now that they were in Imperial H.Q. Oleg saw this as his moment to show what he can do.

"Back off Oleg" Ezra told the hot head cadet lightly pushing him back. "You too Morgan, ypur both going down" Oleg said to them both moving Ezra's arm off of his shoulder. Ezra only smiled at Olegs threat smartly saying "Actually we're going up" pointing towards the roof. This made Oleg get sour as he tried to punch Ezra.

During that time the 2 instructers had seen enough of this rambling with Grit announcing "The assessment begins in 4....3...." making everyone prepare themselves.

Ezra pushed Oleg back putting on his helmet as Jai asked "how are we supposed to get out of here" hearing Grit yell "One" and pressing a button on his remote. Suddenly platforms began appearing out of the well, some were going up, others left to right, and a few going forward.

The Cadets stared in curiosity for a few moments before Ezra placed a hand on Jai's shoulder saying "There's your answer Jai". Ezra quickly ran over to two platforms that were leveled to them jumping on the first one and then the second one which was a bit higher. Ezra jumped over to a third one telling Jai "see you at the top".

Jai took the challenge following behind Ezra remarking "Yes you will...from below" jumping on a platform following Ezra.

Soon everyone of the Cadets began jumping on to platforms picking the ones they believed would be the best to get out of the well. One of the Cadets that were behind Ezra and Jai saw a platform rising to the top and jumped on hit speeding by Ezra and Jai.

However things were being too easy for the Cadets. The instructers saw this plainly with LR saying "Failure is not acceptable. This Empire has no use for weakness" pressing the buttons on his remote making the platforms be able to shock the Cadets. One of the Cadets felt this first hand amd fell to the bottom of the well.

For Ezra however he wasn't in any trouble with them. He just kept jumping over to the next area where the platforms were coming out nearly getting shock a couple of times. This amazed Jai at how good his friend was at this. Jai even asked Ezra "Dev how are you doing this. Its like you the platforms are coming before their there" jumping on to another platform.

Ezra smiled at Jai's curiosity and jealousness at how good he was doing answering "What can I say, its a gift" climbing up 2 more platforms right as they exited their areas.

Both of the instructers were also impressed, maybe a little too impressed. It wasn't normally for a cadet to be this good at something they weren't able to see. LR even told himself and Grit "Morgan seems impressive, perhaps too impressive. Make a note of that" getting a nod from his partner.

Ezra and Jai were almost at the top of the well, they only had one more platform to climb and then they were home free. However Oleg was right behind them standing on a platform that neared the 2 cadets. Oleg chuckled evilly as he prepared to push them both off saying "You lose Morgan".

However at the last second Ezra yelled "Jai look out" grabbing his friends hand narrowly missing Oleg. Oleg loss his balance falling down the well landing on one of the bottom platforms. Oleg looked up at Ezra who looked back down at him smiling before he turned back around climbing out of the well.

As Ezra stood out of the well catching his breath with Jai he said "First again" rubbing salt in Jai's loss. Jai just took off his helmet saying "Yeah, well I'll get you tomorrow" trying to make himself confident. Ezra ruined it for him by saying "You said that yesterday too" before they both heard LR clapping while saying "Quite a finish cadets. It seems this trial was too easy for you. Morgan Kell you both set course records".

LR then looked over at the other cadet who had made it in 3rd place asking "And is it Leonis?" receiving a "Sir Yes Sir" from the boy. "You 3 are today's winners, but rest assured your next trial will be a greater challenge. Follow" LR ordered to the cadets walking deeper into the building followed by the 3 cadets. But not before Ezra smugged at Oleg who bounded his fist in anger.

The 4 Imperials (this really pains me) walked down the hallway with each of their assignments in hand. As they walked down Chopper painted in a roughly black coating strolled by receiving the hand signal from Ezra. No one noticed the signal except Leonis who looked at the droid and cadet in suspicion.

The reason was was because cadets aren't the ones to give signals to Imperial droids on campus. Usually it would be the Imperial officers giving the signals, but that was in extreme rare occasions. Leonis figured he would have to keep a watchful eye on Dev Morgan.

Chopper kept rolling on through the Imperial complex maling himself seem like a normal Imperial droid. Not that anyone cared about droids in the Empire. Chopper proceeded to stroll between two transport vessels so no one could see him blinking a signal.

The signal was caught on by Sabine who was 3 blocks away from the complex. When she saw Chopper head back into H.Q. she turned the corner saying through her comm link "Spectre 5 to Ghost looks like the kid passed the first test. He's inside Imperial H.Q." walking over to Zeb and Stahl. Through the other side of the comm link she heard Hera say "Roger that Spectre 5. We're ready and waiting" before the comms went dark.

In The Ghost

Up in orbit of Lothal Hera was flying the Ghost around the planet waiting for the location of the Imperial shipment coordinates. They had been up in orbit for 5 weeks which made Kanan pretty restless. Even now he felt the urge to remind "We've been standing by here for weeks I'm sick of it". Hera just decided that the best way to handle it was by teasingly saying "Your worried about Ezra", well at least to her it was the best way. "I'm not worried about the kid I'm worried about the opt" Kanan defensively said trying to make it look like he wasn't worried. It didn't work on Hera. Kanan then proceeded to sign in discomfort saying "What were we thinking putting him undercover".

Hera did not believe what she just heard, it was Kanans idea for Ezra to go undercover for this mission. She felt she had a duty to remind Kanan of that.

"What were we thinking, this was your idea" Hera said making Kanan become even more of a nuisances saying "He just isn't ready...and if he gets caught". "He hasn't gotten caught so far" Hera interrupted a bit amused at the fact that Kanan had little faith in Ezra.

Admittidly he did screw up on the mission with Master Luminara (Btw I'm still pissed at the fact they killed her) and with the last time they infiltrated H.Q.. But Hera did believe in every one of her crew members, even if Kanan had his troubles.

"The moment he gets the decoder Zeb yanks him outta there" Kanan said basically repeating the plan they made 5 weeks ago. "Yeah, that's the plan" Hera reminded Kanan making the Jedi say "Should've done this myself". Hera just looked at him in disapprove rhetorically saying "Oh yeah, you'd make quite the cadet" activating the ships engine coolant system.

Imperial H.Q.

Ezra had been walking around H.Q. for the past 30 minutes handing other Imperial officers their data taking his time to reach Kallus office so as to not draw suspicion. Once Ezra reached Kallus officer the Agent walked out of his room holding another data pad in his hand. Ezra ran behind him holding out his data pad saying "Excuse me sir, I have your new data. I can leave on your desk". Kallus not paying too much attention to Ezra simply said "No I'll take it now" having the data pad put in his hand still walking towards his meeting.

Once Kallus was gone from view Ezra went back to Kallus office making sure the area was clear before he typed in the code which unlocked the door. Little did Ezra know that as he entered Kallus office another Cadet was closesly watching.

As the door shut behind Ezra he scanned Kallus office seeing a typical desk nearing a window which offered a great view of the city. Too bad it was facing away from the city. Everything was so blank that you could take a look at Kanan's room and think it was more creative.

However Ezra wasn't here to be like his girlfriend, Ezra walked over to Kalluses desk seeing the computer Kallus left open on his desk. Ezra turned the computer towards him typing in the code that Kanan had given him before the enlistment.

Just like a charm the decoder popped right out of the computer. Ezra felt great happiness as he grabbed the decoder saying "One decoder as ordered" along with his helmet and other data pads. Ezra walked over to the door activating the code so that it could open.

However Ezra wasn't expecting to be greeted with Leonis asking "What do you think your doing". The two stared at each other waiting for the other one to make a move. Then suddenly they both heard chatter from down the hall causing Leonis to push Ezra back into the room with the door shutting behind him.

Once they both seemed to be in the clear Leonis took his helmet off and suspiciously looked over at Ezra. His eyes quickly caught the decoder in Ezra's helmet. Leonis grabbed the decoder out of Ezra's helmet following up with "Figured it be something like this".

"Its not what you think" Ezra tried defending himself so he wouldn't risk too much information being spilled. Surprisingly it wasn't from his mouth that information spilled. Leonis told Ezra "I think that this device has a built in sensor which would trigger that..." pointing to a sensor above the door way. "...you try walking out with this thing the whole facility goes on lockdown" Leonis finished explaining blowing Ezra's mind. To the point where Ezra had the urge to ask "Wait, your helping me?".

Leonis just replied with "You really want to discuss this here and now?" looking at Ezra with a questionable look. "Mmmmm not so much" Ezra answered taking the decoder and placing it back in the computer.

The two waited for about 5 minutes before they opened the door seeing no one in the hallway. With the coast being temporarily clear Ezra grabbed Leonis shoulders saying "Alright listen. I appreciate the help, but we need to talk". Leonis hit Ezra's hands off his shoulders saying "No kidding. Meet me after everyone is asleep in the northern armory" walking off to finish his assigned duties.

As the boy walked away Ezra had a confused look over his face. It soon disapeared however when he heard voices echo from down the hall making him continue to finish his assigned duties.

Outside the Imperial H.Q. Sabine and the others heard the sound of the Imperial security doors closing. Sabine looked across the corner of the building to.make sure that her theory was correct. Sure enough it was, following an AT-ST out of the H.Q. no one came out. Sabine contacted the Ghost saying "Spectre 5 to Ghost something went wrong. Ezra didn't grab the device and he didn't come out of the Imperial H.Q.". Hera told Sabine "Roger that Spectre 5. Give him one more day" making the artist sign in frustration ending their link.

With Zeb and Stahl hearing the news both of them began walking away from Imperial H.Q.. Sabine looked at the 2 shocked at them while asking "Whe-where are you two going". Both of them glanced over at each other for a brief moment before looking over at Sabine saying "The apartment".

Sabine couldn't believe it, both of them were just going to walk back to the apartment without even thinking about trying to help Ezra. "W-what. Why would you both just leave. Ezra could need our help" Sabine asked both of them. Zeb walked over to Sabine placing a hand on her shoulder pad saying "Sabine we are all worried about the kid, but sometimes you have to know that you will be in situations where you can't do anything. This is that situation, just let Ezra do his mission".

Sabine hated to admit it, but Zeb was right in some, extremely small way. She didn't show it of course, Sabine just crossed her arms saying "Whatever" shoving past the Lasat and the other kid. Stahl and Zeb both just shook their heads before following behind her.

Ghost

After hearing the news from Sabine Kanan began to question the sake of the mission. It bothered him so much that his padwans life was on the line. It drove him to ask Hera "This decoder better be worth the risk". Hearing this from Kanan Hera understood his worries, even though she joked about it with Kanan she too was petrified about this.

However she reminded Kanan "What's the alternative. Do you want to stop that cyber shipment or not? You know what the Empire could do with that crystal". Kanan's only reply to this was a simple "Nothing good" because he knew the stakes, which in some way made this more scarier than usual. Hera plainly saw this in Kanan's face, which was why she insured Kanan "So we give Ezra one more day" hinting that if things didn't go to plan they would crash the Ghost into the building to save Ezra if needed. Knowing that Kanan reluctantly leaned back in the chair staring off into the star filled space.

Imperial H.Q.

It had been a couple of hours since it was lights out for the cadets. The chattering on the stormtroopers seemed to have dialed it down a bit which meant that it was the best time for Ezra and Leonis to talk.

Both of the cadets crawled out of their beds making sure to carefully place their footstpes so they wouldn't make much noise. Once they were out of the room both began walking down the hallways nearing the northern armory.

When the two entered Leonis made sure to lock the door behind them so they wouldn't be caught even if their voices were heard. Both of the boys moved to the back so they could speak freely. Ezra was the one to start speaking "Thanks for the save. How'd you know about the decoder". Leonis began explaining "From my sister Dara. She was the star cadet in the Imperial army. She knew the facility backwards and forwards".

Ezra could tell by the fact that Leonis used the word 'was' that something happened. "What happened to her" Ezra asked Leonis getting a annoyed "We'll they told me she ran off, but I don't believe it" answer. Leonis quickly changed the subject by asking Ezra "What were you doing breaking into Kallus office. That's a great way to get shot.".

Although Ezra did appreciate Leonis saving his life he didn't really feel the trust just yet. So all Ezra said was "Long story but I need that decoder and I could use a partner who knows his way around" holding out his hand. Leonis gave a quick glance at Ezra's hand before asking him "What's in it for me".

Ezra smiled mentally laughing asking "Do you really need a reason to mess with the Empire". Leonis just smiled saying "No I don't" shaking Ezras hand.

"Good. We have to finish in the top three tomorrow if we're gonna get back inside Imperial H.Q." Ezra explained to Leonis. Leonis nodded his head saying "Lets do it. I'm Zare by the way. Zare Leonis, and your Dev right". Although Ezra wanted to tell Zare his real name now wasn't the time.

So Ezra just answered with "Yeah that's me". Both of the boys soon walked back towards their bunkers.

Imperial H.Q. (PIT)

"Today's assessment will be a little more challenging" LR explained to the cadets as they were lowered down into the well holding usual blasters in their hands. Ezra and Zare look at each other in a understanding way remembering their plan. "You will need to shoot the targets to activate the panels to climb out" everyone heard LR order getting the cadets to prepare for the training exercise.

All of them quickly heard Grit yell "3....2....1" letting the cadets fire freely at the panels. Ezra took a few shots at the closest and lowest panels to him quickly jumping on shooting at more. Jai followed quickly behind him keeping a steady pace with Ezra. Zare was having more trouble, as he jumped on the second panel Oleg joined him shoving off of the panel.

Ezra and Jai both kept on shooting at numerous panels gaining more and more ground. Oleg noticed and decided that if he couldn't catch up to them he was going to slow down the competition. Oleg looked over at Zare who was close behind him and shot his panel short curcuiting it causing Zare to fall again.

The two instructers took notice of Olegs actions in which LR credited Grit saying "Oleg seems to have taken your correction to heart Mr. Grit". Grit just nodded at the commet looking back down at the cadets.

Speaking of the cadets Ezra jumped on to another platform with Jai right under him. Oleg saw this and tried to take at least one of those two down. Oleg shot at Jai's panel short curcuiting it making it fall to the ground.

Luckly though Jai managed to jump onto the same platform as Ezra. The two were almost out when Ezra looked down a Zare who was too far behind Oleg to make it ahead of him in time. Zare saw this too looking up at Ezra saying "I'm not gonna make it".

Ezra needed to think of something and fast or his mission was going to be a bust. Unfortunately the only real safe option was for Ezra to sabotage Jai. The reason it was the only safe way was because Ezra could just easily shoot at Oleg and knock him off of his panel. But that most likely wouldn't stop Oleg from doing the same to Zare and make him fall behind again.

So with no other option Ezra said "Sorry Jai" pushing his friend off the panel and down to the bottom of the pit. After Jai landed on a panel he lowered his facial mask looking up at Ezra in disbelief. Ezra looked down at Jai with a more serious face as he pressed the button to hide his face of shame.

As Ezra climbed out of the well a ton of guilt hit his body like one of Bine's punches. Ezra really regreted what he did but there was no other option since he had to think about the mission first.

As Zare and Oleg climbed out of the well LR's panel lowered down towards them with the instructer saying "Cadets, follow Morgan's example. There is no friendship in war. Tomorrows finals will push all of you to your limits. The reward for such success will be a training session aboad an Imperial walker" leading the 3 into H.Q.

It wasn't too long later that Jai climbed out of the well confronting Ezra "Dev you sabutaged me". Ezra just told Jai "I did what I had to do" yanking his arm out of Jai's hand walking off. As Ezra did he heard his friend say "Good to know" walking with Mr.Grit to his assignments.

It took Ezra and Zare about 2 hours to finish their assignments before they meet up together in the room across Kallus office.

As they waited for Minister Toa to come out of her office Ezra began explaining the plan "Ok so whats going to happen Zare is when Toa comes out of the room I'm gonna use the airducks to grab the decoder. All I need you to do is distract Kallus for a few moments". Zare understood most of the plan seeing that it was Ezra's, but there were 2 things that needed questioning. 1: how was Zare going to distract Kallus for that long. 2: how the fuck is Ezra going to be able to reach the decoder from the ducks.

"Wait so what should I do to distract Kallus" Zare asked Ezra who answered his question with asking "Whats that in your hand". "Oh its just a data pad for old pod racer parts" Zare answered getting an idea. Before Zare could ask his second question they heard the door from behind them open with Maketh Toa walking out.

Both of them ran over to the panel with Ezra quickly punching in the overide code so they could enter. Once they were both inside Ezra walked over to the table seeing an airducl above it.

But before he could jump into it Zare asked "How are you going to be able to reach anything from up there". Feeling the need to hurry the mission Ezra answered truthfully "Don't worry I've been training to be a Jedi". Zare just smartly remarked "Yeah right, who isn't?" not believing Ezra.

Ezra jumped into the ducks quickly poking his head out saying "You'll see" closing the ducks behind him. As the sound of crawling could slightly be heard through the vents Zare shook his head at the trouble he got himself into. In some ways it was just like his sister, only less Jedi and more troubling.

Zare opened the door carefully making sure that there were no Imperials passing by as he walked over to Kallus office.

Speaking of Kallus office Ezra just barely made it before they both heard Zare knocking. Kallus answered the door saying "Come" letting Zare open the door. Zare stood in his upright position saying "Sir your pod racer parts have been delivered. Just sign right here and I'll bring them up".

Just like a charm Kallus took the bait getting up from his desk and walking over to Zare asking in confusion "Obviously theres been a mistake. What would I want with Pod Racer parts?" leaving his computer unattended. Zare knew Ezra needed more time so he said "No mistake here sir, see right here...." trailing off into the data.

During that time Ezra opened up the other duck having a clear view pf the computer. Ezra then reached out his hand concentrating on the decoder like Kanan had been teaching him with rocks. After a few moments the decoder popped out of the computer levitating towards Ezra.

Zare saw this and was amazed at what he was seeing, but he quickly took his eyes back onto Kallus so as to make it look unsuspicious. However Kallus did notice something was wrong since he saw Zare take his eyes off him for a few moments too look at something.

The two had a brief starring competition before Kallus looked back at his desk seeing it as he left it. As he did he heard Zare ask again "Sooooo where you gonna sign it" answering in annoyance "Cadet are you ignorant, I said theres been a mistake". Zare took this as his sign to leave saying "Sir yes sir, sorry sir" smiling at the air ducks knowing that Ezra's mission was a success.

Ezra smiled too closing the duck crawling back towards Toa's office. However as he was right above the office he could hear a voice inside say "As usual the results are conclusive". It sounded like instructer LR, sure enough it was.

Ezra opened the duck so he could see who he was talking too. "I believe we have identified 2 cadets Morgan and Kell who your.....specific standards" LR told the person on the holo-gram who said in a slight sastifaction "Excellent commador, tomorrow I will arrive on Lothal to test them myselfs. If the results are conclusive I will take the boys into custody".

Ezra instantly recognized it as the Grand Inquisitor's voice. This wasn't very good at all because now Ezra has too help Jai so he doesn't have to suffer at the hands of the Empire. Ezra soon heard LR say "Yes Inquisitor" shutting off the transmission and exiting the room.

Before Ezra jumped down he peaked out of the airduck looking around to make sure that it was all clear. When he was finished he jumped down from the duck walking over to the door and exiting the room.

After a little bit of looking Ezra was able to find Chopper who was rolling around the H.Q. being a droid. Ezra waved over to Chopper to follow him.

Chopper followed Ezra to one of the armories. As they both entered Ezra locked the door so they wouldn't be interrupted by anyone. Chopper beeped "Did you get it" in which Ezra answered with "Chopper you know I don't know what your saying. So I'm guessing your asking if I got this" waving the decoder out in front of him. Chopper beeped happily now that their mission was over, but as he started rolling out he was stopped by Ezra who grabbed him saying "Wait Chopper, were not done here yet".

Outside Imperial H.Q.

Sabine, Zeb, and Stahl waited outside Imperial H.Q. at the same spot as yesterday for Chopper and Ezra to bring the decoder. Not too long they heard the wheels of Chopper approach them. The three looked at him with Zeb asking "Did you get the decoder" in which Chopper beeped "Sure did bitch" opening his side pocket showing the decoder. Sabine grabbed the decoder pulling her camera down so she could decode the coordinates.

As Sabine did that Zeb and Stahl noticed that Ezra wasn't with Chopper like they planned. Zeb asked Chopper "Where's Ezra" which Chopper beeped "He went back into the academy". Zeb didn't understand what Chopper said but got a good idea when Sabine asked "W-what you mean he went back to the academy".

Chopper then projected a recording of Ezra who said "Guys I know your expecting me but I have to stay behind. There's this kid Jai Kell who'll get snatched up by the Inquisitor if I don't help". "Wait the Inquisitor? Is Ezra out of his..." Zeb began asking himself but was interrupted by Ezra saying "You probably think I'm crazy and your probably, but its your fault. The old me would never stick his neck out for others. Clearly I've spent way too much time with you Heros. Decode the hyperspace coordinates and get them to Spectre 2, oh and if your not busy tomorrow attack the academy. I could use the diversion, Spectre 6 out". The recording was cut off after that leaving all 3 of the Spectres smiling as Sabine finished decoding the coordinates.

Sabine then activated her comm link saying "Spectre 5 to Ghost coordinates received. If you leave now you may be able to intercept the cargo in time" sending the cooridnates to the Ghost. Hera soon said from the other side of the link "Cooridnates received Spectre 5. Heading out" along with Kanan saying "Good work Spectre 5, you too Spectre 6". Sabine didn't know how to break the knews to Kanan seeing as how he would overreact to knowing Ezra stayed at the H.Q..

So Stahl did the honors of grabbing Sabine's comm wrist saying "Spectre 6 says fuck off" getting a brief "What!!??" from Kanan before the link was cut off.

Sabine pulled her wrist out of Stahl's hand asking....or more like yelling "What the heck is wrong with you Stahl". Stahl just simply shruged his shoulders saying "He wanted a response, and I didn't see either of you two rushing to tell him" walking back towards the apartment with thoughts on his mind. The three gave each other a concerned glance before following Stahl.

Imperial H.Q.

Everything had settled down for the Imperial Cadets since it was lights out. Jai was sleeping soundly in his bunk when he felt a hand cover his mouth. Jai opened his eyes seeing Ezra standing above him covering his mouth saying "Jai come with me". Jai was a bit hesitant at first, but after he heard his friend say "Jai you have to trust me" giving him a pleading look Jai nodded his head.

The two then tiptoed out of the room with Jai following Ezra to another one of the armories. As they ran Jai asked Ezra "What's this about Morgan" only getting a vague "You'll know when we get where were going". Jai questioned this, but he did trust his friend so he kept following him.

After a bunch of lefts and rights they finally madd it to the armory that Ezra told Zare to meet up. As the two entered the room both of them heard a whisper "Dev Jai over here" seeing Zare in the back end of the room. Once Ezra locked the door he joined the two other Cadets hearing Jai ask again "Ok so what's going on Dev".

Ezra took in a deep breath before explaining to Jai "Listen Jai there's this really bad person called the Inquisitor who's coming here tomorrow. He's here to question and abduct you from the Imperial H.Q. academy. So thats why you need to come with us and leave the academy tomorrow". Jai didn't believe any of this, first his best friend sabatoged him this morning, then he had to help grit clean the hallways/toilets, followed by getting picked on by every other Cadets, and now his friend is telling him to leave the academy. The one place where Jai could have a great life.

"No this is just another one of your tricks. Your trying to get me bailed out of the academy" Jai said crossing his arms. "Yeah sort of, but not like you think we are. The Inquisitor..." Ezra began re-explaining but was interrupted by Jai who said "Please I don't believe this Inquisitor exits, and even if he does then maybe thats a good thing. The Inquisitor trains me, I get a top rank in the Imperial...".

Jai wasn't able to finish his sentence because he heard Zare ask him "Jai you got a family". "Uh its just me and my mother" Jai answered Zare who began asking "And how would she feel if she never got to see you again? My sister disapeared from this place and I'm betting it was the Inquisitor who took her away. So unless your ready to say bye to mom forever". Jai heard the message Zare was sending him, so he reluctantly asked Ezra "Ok, so whats the plan". Ezra smiled putting his arms around both of them in a huddle formation saying "Easy, the three of us need to win tomorrows finals". "Not so easy" Zare remarked seeing as how the last time he and Ezra tried to make top 3 it nearly went south. Even Jai had to ask Ezra "Howd that gonna help us" who said "Because it gets us inside the walker".

Apartment

As Sabine opened the door to their apartment she along with Zeb began to yawn at how tired they were becoming. On their way to the apartment Sabine explained the plan to everyone. Firstly Chopper was going to set a explosion on one of the outside walkers as a signal for Ezra and the others. Meanwhile Zeb would provide sniper support to cover Ezra and Sabine for any incoming Imperials. Sabine was going to be the one to go into the field so she would help protect Ezra. Lastly Stahl was going to be the get away driver. Sabine didn't pick him for this, but Stahl began being a bitch saying that he didn't want to be the one to go fight the Imperials front on for some unknown reason. But Sabine was too tired to worry about it give anything towards his reason.

As the three went to their rooms Zeb said "Goodnight Sabine" getting a "Goodnight Zeb" from Sabine. Zeb then said "Goodnight Mr.Uselese. Hope you have nightmares" getting a "Goodnight Furr coat" from Stahl. Before the three closed their doors however they heard Chopper beep "Hey where am I going to sleep". "What did he say" Zeb asked the other Spectres hearing Stahl say "Sleep with Zeb" locking his door followed by Sabine who did the same thing.

Zeb just groaned at his luck as Chopper rolled on over to him. Zeb looked down at the bucket of bolts before kicking him away saying "Your not sleeping with me Rust Bucket" and shutting his room locking it leaving a tipped over droid warbling.

Stahl's P.O.V

I lied on my bed looking up at the roof with thousands of thoughts rushing through my brain. Ezra seems to have gotten himself into another fine mess of his. Dang kid always knew how to find trouble wherever he goes. I started thinking about the risks he was taking to save this persons life. I mean he's doing all of this to save some kid who wanted to become an Imperial. Why does Ezra always have to play a hero? But now that I'm thinking about it there could be something I can do. I do have the power to save them both. Since the Imperials are scared shitless of me they won't even raise a finger to stop me from just taking them. But if I did that, every single one of the Ghost crew would get suspicious. And if they find out what I was before they would.....they would.... Tears began escaping my eyes just thinking about it. My choices were clear to me, and although I care about Ezra. I have to protect my identity from everyone, even if it means risking their lives. But if they are captured, *signs* I will risk everything. I'd rather be alone knowing their alive then be happy amd them being the ones to suffer from it. But tomorrow is the day I trust in Sabine and Zeb and hopefully cheap bucket. I lie my head down on my pillow letting my vision go into darkness.

Imperial H.Q.
Third P.O.V

The final exam had come, this time things were much harder. Only a few cadets were given a blaster so the others that didn't would follow them as a leader and trust exercise.

Ezra, Jai, and Zare all jumped on every panel that came their way. They had been making their way up to the top making sure to keep ahead of Oleg. Speaking of Oleg the kid had seen the three already far ahead of him. So he decided to do something about that.

Oleg raised his blaster at Jai because he hated him the most. Ezra took notice of this yelling "Jai look out" taking the blaster shot. The electricity that ran through his body caused him to fall down the well. Jai looked over to make sure Ezra was ok yelling "Dev". Ezra weakly told Jai "Keep going" waving him away.

Jai and Zare did that jumping onto another panel climbing out of the well. Oleg was the third one to climb out of the well with Ezra right behind him. As the four caught their breath they heard LR claping his hands saying "A surprising finish, Cadets Kell Leonis Oleg win the day. And the prize" pointing over at the Walker. Oleg jumped with happiness finally satisfied that he finally beat Dev.

The others however were concerned that Ezra wasn't going to be the one with them on the walker. Jai even said "You were supposed to get on the walker with us" beginning to doubt their plan.

Ezra however reassured Jai saying "Just stick to the plan" hiding some small sense of confidence in it. The three Cadets were soon called to the walker by the pilot.

As the three boarded the walker Jai looked back at Ezra who nodded back at him that everything was going to be ok. Feeling a bit more confident Jai jumped into the walker. As he landed he saw Zare over with the pilot asking questions while Oleg sat on the co-pilots seat. "So these control the move set, and these control the targeting, but what do these do" Zare asked the pilot trying to learn as much as he could about the walker before the signal activated. The pilot answered his question "Jiro scopes, here let me show you" not paying attention to Zare who grabbed his blaster handing it off to Jai.

As the other cadets began walking into the base Ezra started getting worried about if the plan was going to work. His worries were nullified when he saw Chopper at the far end of the base shinning out the signal to him. Ezra nodded back at Chopper letting the astromec know that everything was ready.

Within the blink of an eye an explosion was set off on the leg of another walker causing it to tip over. The explosion also drew the attention of the instructers with Grit obviously saying "We're under attack".

"What was that" the pilot of the walker asked hearing the explosion from outside. With Zare and Jai figuring this as the explosion Jai held up the blaster saying "My signal" stunning the pilot. From behind them they heard Oleg yell "What are you doing" as he tried to take the blaster from Jai who stunned the cadet.

After that Zare pushed the pilot out of the seat activating the walker as Jai said "Guess theres no turning back now". "No there isn't" Zare said making the walker move forward.

The Cadets and the Imperial instructers ran as fast as they could into the base with LR saying "This is LR-C01 we are under attack lower the blast doors". A second later the doors began closing down beginning to scare Ezra a bit. Apparently he wasn't the only one worried because the walker began shooting at the closing door while also destroying another one of the walkers.

Grit took notice of this saying "Commodore who's ever controlling that walker is part of the attack". LR acknowledged this speaking again into the comm link "This is LR-C01 there is a rough walker in our mists. Advance and destroy".

Ezra heard all of this looking over to see a transport shooting at the walker. Ezra then decided that it was time to help the others. Ezra began running towards the walker luckily finding a staircase where he jumped onto the leg of the walker climbing up to the top.

When Ezra got on top he grabbed a hold of each side of the walker yelling "Let me in" not getting through to Jai or Zare.

To the Instructers it looked like Ezra was trying to stop them. LR even began to commemorate Ezra saying "Look Morgans attempting to fight off the insurgents single handed". Hearing this the other cadets began to cheer for Ezra.

However it wasn't at all like a heroic action, Ezra was still stuck on the walker when one of the transports shot at the feet. The damage had finally taken its toll making the walker fall down right under the door flinging Ezra off. As he lied on the ground soar one of the 4 troopers held a blaster at him.

Just as Ezra was about to surrender a energy beam was shot by killing one of the Imperials. The others looked around too see where the shot came from, but Zeb was too far away for them to see as he shot another energy blast killing another trooper.

The stormtroopers focused so much on where the sniper was they were too late to see Sabine jump from the transport kicking one of the troopers knocking him out. The one behind her was too late to respond getting shot in the chest. Sabine then put her blaster away helping up Ezra who said "Thanks". "Your welcome" Sabine responded back hearing one more trooper run up towards them.

Before he could shoot them however the man was tased by Chopper. The droid rolled up to Ezra saying "Your welcome for saving your asses" making Ezra chuckle. They all heard banging soon after from the walker.

"Come on we gotta help them" Ezra said running over to the walker. Sabine opened the hatch with Zare coming out first. Sabine had the boy wrap his arm around her shoulder as Ezra helped Jai out of the walker. Ezra asked Jai "are you alright" getting a "Yeah, lets just get out of here" from Jai.

However before they began running out Zare said "Jai wait, let me see that blaster". Jai handed the weapon over asking "Ok, Why?". "Because I'm staying" Zare boldly said causing Ezra to say "What".  Zare began explaining "Its the only way I'll find my sister" in which Ezra understood.

The three then heard Sabine yell "We got bucket heads inbound" pointing at LR, Grit, and the rest of the cadets approaching them. Before the crew started running Ezra made sure to tell Zare "I'll keep in touch" running with everyone else.

Stahl quickly drove in front of the others with Zeb in the passenger seat yelling "Get in come on". Once the others jumped onto the speeder Zare began shooting at them as they drove away to make it look like he was trying to stop them.

Once the Instructers had caught up they both stared at the speeder that began disappearing into the distance then at Zare who was smiling awkwardly. Grit looked back at LR who gave him the same concerning face that something was up with the boy. A few seconds had passed before Grit lead the remaining cadets back into the H.Q.. LR straightened himself up saying "Young man" catching Zare's attention. As the young cadet looked at his instructor he said "Follow me, there's a special guest who would like to make your acquaintance" walking into the H.Q. with Zare saying "Sir Yes Sir" following him.

"This is a black mark commador. I don't know who this boy is. This one however I know. This is one of the padwans I've encountered with the Jedi" The Grand Inquisitor said holding the image of Ezra at them. Upon hearing this LR began informing the Inquisitor "That is Morgan the other was Kell. Cadet Zare Leonis came close to stopping the former cadets he grown so close with, or so we thought". After the Inquisitor heard all this he stared down at the cadet smiling evily at the boy knowing what he was going to ask. The Grand Inquisitor then walked up to the cadet saying "Walk with me Leonis, I want to know everything about your......former friends" with the cadet starring back at him.

Ghost

"Jai we'll take you to your mother, but you'll both have to go into hiding" Hera told the young boy who smartly remarked "Yeah from the Empire". "We'll help with that" Hera told the boy as they both walked into the Ghost. Sabine stayed outside the Ghost walking over to Ezra wrapping her arms around his neck with him wrapping his arms around her waist. The two smiled at each other happy that they were in each others arms after 5 weeks.

However as the two leaned towards each other to kiss they heard a "uhmph" from Kanan. Both of them groaned at Kanan who walked over to the couple saying "Save it for the room you two" pissing off Sabine. Kanan looked over at Ezra asking "So how was it Ezra". The young boy gave it some thought before saying "Well I forgot what its like being on my own".

The Jedi chuckled at that asking the boy "Do you miss it". "No angry robot....no smelly Lasat.....its good to be back" Ezra said earning himself another chuckle from Kanan who added "At ease cadet". Kanan then began walking back into the Ghost hearing Ezra say "Sir Yes Sir" saluting him.

Even though it was a touching moment Sabine couldn't take another second of Ezra's blank uniform. "Ezzy I know this is meant to be a touching moment but can I please take that boring uniform off you" Sabine asked Ezra who looked at her teasingly saying "Oh what Sabine, you don't like your own soldier boy". Sabine smiled rewrapping her arms around his neck lightly drawing circles on his cheek. She then said "Well it makes you look a bit of a commander" bringing her head to his.

But once again as they were inches to kissing they heard a voice muffly cough. The two looked over to see Stahl on the ramp saying "You two either go to your guys room or go to an apartment in town". "Ughhhhh you seriously couldn't have given us 2 more seconds" Sabine asked Stahl who shook his head. The boy then said "Remember Sabine, the 3 of us are training tomorrow" walking back into the Ghost.

Ezra was surprised when he heard this. Ezra looked back at Sabine asking "What does he mean Sabine". The mandalorian began explaining "Well Stahl and I agreed that all 3 of us should train together to become better at fighting the Empire". Ezra just shook his head smiling as he kissed Sabine.
