Uncovering The Truth
Max entered the mall and the cool air hit him. People were carrying shopping bags, with their families, eating, or just hanging out, sitting at the couches.
Max walked further down the mall until he found Hot Topic. He loved this store, his favorite bands were on the shirts and merchandise. Max walked in, forgetting what happened back at office
Meanwhile, Tim found the note on Max's keyboard. He read it and was quickly confused.
"Red!!" Tim called. He figured Red was involved since his name was mentioned. Red came in behind Tim.
"Yup?"
"What did Max do?" Tim asked looking up at the other red head.
"He got mad at me." Red shrugged as if it always happened, as if he was used to it.
"You asked him about (Y/N) didn't you?" Tim confronted, leaning on his movable chair. Red stared at Tim debating whether to answer this or not.
"...maybe..." Red quickly and quietly replied. Tim nodded, putting the note down.
"It was bound to happen."

Max was gone for almost 2 hours and his phone was blowing up with texts and calls from his friends.
The truth was going to come out; Max knew it. He should've been more secretive or at least less suspicious. But it was too late now.
What about (Y/N)? What will she think when she comes back to Washington? With her aunt's death, Max hated the idea of (Y/N) having to deal with another relationship problem.
Max's phone was still buzzing in his pocket. By now he got used to the vibrations so he ignored it.
Minutes later, with Max's vibrating phone, he decided to pull it out of his pocket. He scrolled down the screen. Texts were coming from his friends, as well as calls.
But one call stood out, and it was (Y/N). She only called three times, probably not giving a fourth time a try.
Max sighed, knowing his instinct. He hated to admit it, but he only wanted to get back to (Y/N). Something just made him do so.
So Max called her number, and the phone rang.
"Hello?" Her voice rang. It was Max's happiness.
"Hey, (Y/N)." Max said into the speaker.
"Oh, Max! You got back to me..."
"Yeah I saw you tried three times."
"Yeah," you chuckled nervously. "I was just worried. The guys were telling me you wouldn't pick up your phone so they asked me to try and get to you." You explained throughly. Max pursed his lip, feeling his cheeks get warm.
"Is something going on?" (Y/N) then asked as if she was a mother to her child who seemed to be hiding something.
Max shook his head, even though you couldn't see it.
"N-no. I'm fine. I was just making time for myself." Max half lied. (Y/N) seemed to buy the act.
"Oh okay. As long as you're okay." (Y/N)'s tone had a smile in it. Max grinned.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Thank you, (Y/N)."
"Alright, bye Max." (Y/N) ended the call, not even letting Max say goodbye, but he was okay with that.
Max put his phone away and the messages kind of stopped. He didn't question it though.
Shit wait... What will Max do when he'll get back into the office?
