Day Dreaming

It was only a day after (Y/N) and Max had to fake their relationship as a couple. Somehow Max wouldn't stop thinking about it. He wanted it to be real, and he was sure of it.

He didn't want to admit that he has a burning crush towards (Y/N). It was just so soon that he needed to let it come out of him naturally. Plus, Max hasn't felt this way in a long time. He was lonely, more towards the girlfriend situation.

Max always thought about having a girlfriend; someone to take care of and love. He wanted that 'belonging' feeling; he wanted to feel like he belonged to someone. He wanted to feel like he was home.

Max sat on the couch in his shared apartment. He had a can of Sprite on the coffee table as he played GTA V on the tv with the Xbox. Ross was somewhere upstairs and Tim was buying the guys' dinner.

Suddenly, Ross' footsteps came down the stairs. "Hey Max, are you and (Y/N) a thing?" Ross' voice sounded some what hopeful.

Max paused the game and turned in his seat to look at Ross with a 'what kind of question is that?' look.

"I mean you both have been hanging out a lot recently." Ross referred to yesterday. Max fully turned around.

"(Y/N) and I are not dating." Max stated to make it clear. Ross shrugged taking a seat next to him on the couch. "Oh really?"

"Yes, Ross." Max said firmly un-pausing the game. He returned to pushing the buttons.

"I know you like her." Ross blurt out sitting back on the couch. Max rolled his eyes still looking at the tv. "I see it, Max. Whenever she passes you in the hallway at work you always sneak a look!" Ross said proudly laughing.

Max paused the game and sighed. He let his head fall in shame. After a minute, he took a deep breath and sat up again.

"So what, I like her. She doesn't have to know anyways." Max replied. A hint of sadness came over his face. "She's way out of my league." Max scoffed, beginning to turn of the Xbox.

"She's not! She's just as dorky as you are!!" Ross giggled, which made Max smile a little.

"I think she likes you, Max." Ross then said crossing his arms. Max scoffed again. "Really? How can you tell?" Ross shrugged.

"I'm just that awesome."

Suddenly, the door opened. Max and Ross turned to the front and saw Tim carrying a pizza box. The smell of cheese quickly filled the air. "Dinner's ready!!" Tim called out going to the kitchen. He placed the box on top of the counter as Max and Ross entered the room.

"I call the first two slices!!" Ross exclaimed as Tim was getting the plates. Beforehand, Ross already grabbed two big slices.

The guys began eating dinner and Max couldn't help but think about (Y/N). It's like she has taken over his life.

Ross probably knows it, and he's the only one who actually confronted Max. Max just hopes nothing weird will happen. The last thing he wants is (Y/N) knowing how he feels.
