5. Danger

Murmurs circulated around my head as I was placed into a hospital bed. I was being hooked up, and lost count of all the tubes entangling with eachother. The doctor came out with a crazy big needle and I swallowed hard. "Is this going to hurt?" I asked and the doctor frowned. "Afraid so,"

"Then strap me down," I said gravely. All the nurses did a double take, looking me over. "I think we can control a sick, teenage girl," he stammered. "No you can't," I said quickly. Iron man nodded as. The doctor looked unsure. "Go get the straps," he mumbled. "The thickest ones you have!" I shouted.

"Let me through! Yes I know her!" A voice shouted, "I'm not here to see iron man,"

The person broke through and I knew who it was. "Took you long enough," I smiled. He sighed in exasperation, "apparently everyone in a five mile radius and their moms are here to see him," he pointed at iron man. "I honestly don't know why..."

"Because I'm a famous genius billionaire who just saves your girlfriends life," he said, crossing his arms after lifting his face mask. "She's hot my girlfriend," Jim sighed rolling his eyes. "What's up with the wait?"

"They're bringing the straps," I said and he looked appalled. "What?! Do they think you're a mons-"

"I told them to," I cut him off, looking away. "lil..." But I shook my head, telling him I wasn't changing my mind. "I can't endanger everyone in this building if I lose control,"

"I knew someone like that," Tony started, walking to my bedside. "When he stopped thinking like that he ended up saving the world,"

Jim turned to the metal coated man. "Hulk? Bruce banner?" He asked. Tony nodded, and their attentions were brought to the doctor and nurses returning with the straps. "Biggest ones?" I asked. The doctor nodded. "This is a new formula, designed to calm the bodies functions in order to thoroughly examine," he explained, but I paused at 'new formula'.

"Has it been used before?" Jim asked, and the doctor watched him warily. "I don't think-"

"Just answer the question," Tony interrupted. "Yes, it's been used many times,"

I breathed out in a dragged sigh, "go,"

They began to strap me down, and I ignored the chafing feeling searing into my skin. "Tighter," I grunted, blinking through the pain. The squeezed through my bones and I let out an involuntary grunt. "Tighter,"

"No, we'll cut off your circulation," the doctor argued. I nodded, hoping it was enough. "Ready?" He asked again. "For gods sake, do it already! No need to ask me a million times!" I screamed, and I saw Tony smirk in the corner of my eye.

The needle permeated my skin, pushing through all too easily. The liquid flowed through my body, and I felt my nerves literally slowing down. When I commanded myself to blink, it was slower, delayed. And that's when my body began to fight it. I felt a pain in my spine as my back arched in convulsions. Doctors rushed to push me down, but I screamed out. "Nodont! getawaywhileyoucan!" I screamed, my voice dropping octaves. I saw my mouth extend in front of my vision, flashes of a snout. Warmth covered my skin, the fur growing. I was turning into my base animal. They tiger. "Every one out!" Jim screamed, but my hearing was beginning to pick up other sounds.

People laughing.

Bored conversation.

Babies crying.

Babies. Meat. Food. Eat.

No.

Eat. People.

No!

The medicine was making it harder to contain the mental part of the tiger. I felt myself shifting from human to tiger. Every molecule in my body screaming out as it couldn't decide which to settle on. I saw my hand-paws ripping from the straps, clawing at my other limbs.

"It's me... You have to... Out..."

A male voice was talking, it was soothing. His blurry face hovered above me, and the Human part recognized him, but the tiger pushed it away. Shots broke out, making the tiger more excited and desperate.

Then the sting. My arm had a sharp pain in it, and a weight of something being suspended. The tiger began to leave my mind, but the human was also fading. "What are you doing? You just don't go around tranquilizing people!"

The boy. It was Jim! I saw a gash on the side of his face. Me. I did that to him... My own bestfriend.

"People?" The man asked astonished. "That is not a person,"

And then I lost my grip on the world.
