A/N DONT SKIP

from now on, whenever you see  *pic*   In the middle of a paragraph, It means the picture I've attached is that scene. Okay, enjoy!

A gasp escaped my lips as soon as my eyes snapped open. The dream I had been having slipped away, like water down a stream. Pushing away the slightly unnerving tingle still running up and down my arms, I stood up to glance out the window. "Jarvis, time please?" I questioned, quickly changing into another black tshirt and light blue jeans. "10:30 in the morning," JARVIS replied. I groaned, but walked to the door nonetheless. I stepped into the elevator, just as JARVIS'S voice returned. "Ms. Emily, there is someone at the door. Mr. Stark is currently on lockdown. He is set on not being disturbed,"

I furrowed my brow, "yeah, I'll get it. But why'd you come to me?" I questioned, letting the elevator take me to the first floor. "Mr. Rogers and Mr. Stark are currently working, and according to them, you're the leader of the Redeemers," JARVIS finished. I opened my mouth to speak, but the elevator doors cut me off. "Let them in," I called, turning a corner to the lobby. Just as my eyes grazed around the edge, black widow herself stared down at me. Her fiery green eyes burned into my widened ones, somehow making my vocal chords frozen in surprise. *pic* "um- I don't think- I- I-" I stuttered, trying to work out if I would survive. "Take me to them," she growled, and my brain kickstarted.

Identity: I'm a perky intern working at stark industries. Come from a middle class family, and I just one my schools program to get credit for being here.

Putting on a painfully cheery smile, I put my hands behind my back. "Hello, welcome to stark industries. Do you have an appointment?" I asked. Her expression didn't waver, but instead hardened. "Take me to them," I let out a shaky breath, but continued on. "If you're referring to Mr. Stark, I'm afraid he is currently busy. If you come next week between the times 10:00- 2:00, I'm sure I can fit you in," I chirped, gesturing to the door, "I'm afraid I must ask you to leave now,"

She crossed her arms in disbelief, "how stupid do you think I am?" She asked, stepping forward. Her flame colored hair shook as her boots clacked against the floor, yet I stood my ground. "I know you're the girl on the news, and I know that those two kids that caused a disturbance at SHIELD were your friends. We know that someone escaped our custody," she explained, lifting an eyebrow. I copied her move, "do you know who it was?" I asked, trying to use her information against her. "That's not the-"

"-okay you don't," I concluded, smiling to myself. "He was a 17 year old kid, who had made no attempt to harm SHIELD agents," I told her. She shifted uncomfortably, but kept a cool smirk on her face, moving her head to brush a strand of her above shoulder hair out of her face. "One of your friends... Ben Collins. We know he's enhanced, he'll be put on the index, won't he?" She said, trying to turn the conversation back at me. "Leave them out of this," I growled, my voice low as my fist hardened into rock. Her hand rested on her hip, slowly wrapping around a gun. "What do you need with Stark?" I asked, my eyes nervously darting about the room. "Just to talk," she shrugged, trying to divert my gaze. "You won't leave until I take you to him, will you?" I quietly asked. She smiled, crossing her arms once more before walking to the elevator. "What changed your mind?" She asked, as I pressed the button, joining her.

"I'm not stupid either, I know who you are," I scoffed, marching into the elevator. "I must say, off the record of course, the plan you guys executed; the distractions, technical support, extraction plan... Very well done," she admitted, giving me a small smile. I chuckled, "you make it sound like it was a breeze," I laughed. As long as she wasn't here to kill anyone, I think we could be good friends.

"Emily," I started, holding out my hand. She glanced down unsure, before taking it. "Natasha Romanoff," she replied. "Tony's going to kill me," I muttered, sighing. She looked away from me, letting a smirk play on her red lips. "I'm sure Rogers and stark won't mind," she chuckled. I snapped my head towards her, "how'd you know he was here?"

She raised a perfectly defined eyebrow, and rolled her eyes. I did the same. Obviously she would know, she's a super assassin that could probably kill all of us with a spoon and a whisk. Just then, the doors opened, revealing all my friends sprawled across the living and kitchen room, aka the potato sack. We had gotten accustomed to calling it that, since we hung out there so often and laid around like a bunch of potatoes. Aida was whipping up something in the kitchen as Ben handed her ingredients, occasionally she would glance up at the tv, following a recipe the food network was doing . Jim and Lea were engrossed in a game of chess, each a look of determination in their eyes. Jay was busy with a deck of cards, practicing some up close magic. He had always loved to awe us with them, but I think he also liked snatching all of our dollars when he asked for them for a demonstration.

"Hey Emily! About time you were up, let me show yo- HOLY CRAP!" Jay exclaimed, practically falling out of his breakfast bar chair. "It's Black Widow!" Ben said, dropping whatever he was holding. The thud resonated in throughout the stiff room. "It's the Black widow," Aida whispered. "Yes, Aida, we've determined that," Lea chuckled nervously. "No, no, you don't understand. It's the Black Widow!" She squealed, her face breaking into a grin. She rushed over, her arms scrunched excitedly. "You are my idol," Aida gushed, her eyes sparkling in admiration. Jay face palmed loudly, and Jim stormed over. "She's with shield," he murmured, glaring Natasha down. "Can't I just be excited for once!? I barely even registered that I was living with tony stark, and went on a mission with Captain America, because I was busy trying not to die," she ranted.

If Jim was a puppy, his ears would be back with his tail between his legs. "She needs to talk with Tony and Steve," I simply said, taking a seat next to Jay. "You're not suspicious?" Jim questioned, and I scoffed. "I'm hella suspicious. But I'm also tired. And I also don't want to die," I shrugged, "why do I have to do all the work anyway, anybody want to try kick her out?"

Not a single person made a noise, except for the plump woman cooking on the tv. "That's what I thought..." I muttered, turning to Jay. "Could you maybe give me some tips?" Aida asked, leading Natasha over to the breakfast bar. "Ummm... Sure," she answered, sitting down awkwardly. "I'll call them down," I called to Natasha. "Jarvis?"

"On it," the AI responded. "What's that you wanted to show me?" I chirped, giving Jay a grin. He furrowed his brow, "I think it can wait Lily," he sighed, glancing nervously at the flame headed girl. "Relax, Target. If she tries to kill anyone, I'll crush her as the T-Rex," I joked, shrugging my arms. "Yeah, if you can even control it," he muttered absentmindedly.

My breath hitched in my throat as my smile vanished. "What did you say?" I muttered, processing what he said. It was impossible for him to know about that. I never told him. If everyone found out that I couldn't control the animal inside me, they might not trust me anymore. Might think of me as a monster...

"No! Emily- I- just-" Jay sputtered, quickly realizing the mistake he made. "How do you know?" I rasped, staring into his silky brown eyes. "It's not like that. Jim and I-"

"Jim?" I croaked. My eyes began to sting, tears welling up. "Your eyes... They're a soft gray blue..." He whispered, "what does it mean?"

I shook my hands in anger, "What the hell do you think it means?!" I practically shouted. "Everyone always betrays me..." I breathed, getting up from the couch. Jay jumped after me, placing a hand on my shoulder. but my teeth turned into crispy white fangs. My head snapped back as my lip curled up in an unnatural snarl. Deep growls escaped my throat, and I felt the tiger seep through my brains.

He quickly removed his warm hand, backing away. My fangs retreated back, just as I made my way to the elevator. Once again, the universe hates me.

The moment I plan on walking out, Tony Stark walks in. "You okay, Wild Child?" He asked me, jokingly. "What did you need to- oh," he said quickly, finally noticing Natasha. "Nat, what're you doing here?" Steve asked warily. "I could say the same thing," Natasha replied simply, getting up from the stool. Her strong arms crossed over her chest. "Give it up, Stark. We saw those two at Shield, and that one uses to be at our facility," she said, gesturing to Ben, Aida, and Jim.

"You don't know what was going on..." Tony trailed off, trying to worm his way out of this. "And you? I expected better of you, goody two shoes," she scolded, walking closer. "It's not illegal if I was liberating an innocent," Steve argued back, not leaving his stance. "Why don't you keep talking about me like I'm not here," Jim exclaimed. "You don't have a say," I retorted darkly, gaining some strange looks. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jay shake his head at Jim.

"There's a bigger threat out ther-" Tony began, but Natasha held up a hand. "No use of explaining it twice," she sighed, pulling out a phone. "I'm calling in Barton,"
