Hinata's Pov.

Ugh, here it comes: Exams.

I never had time to study because I always play volleyball, heck I never get a two digit score in any subjects, funny right?

"In order to stay in clubs, it to have good grades! Your first priority is to study, if you didn't your out of the club."

Was what Daichi-senpai told us earlier, in order to stay in clubs you must have good grades.

A volleyball hit me straight in the face as I fell on the ground after getting hit of the ball.

"Ugh, what should I do? I don't want to quit the club because I have poor grades!" I said while messing my tangerine hair.

"Then study, blockhead"
Kageyama said, as he walked towards me.

"It's impossible, I can't concentrate" I said as I sighed.

"If you, Kageyama, Nishinoya, and Tanaka failed this exam, you'll really be kicked out--Daichi is serious" Sugawara-senpai said which made me even scared.

"I won't be kicked out of the club because of inferior grades, damn it!" Tanaka-senpai said.

"Yeah, I'll pass this!" Noya-senpai said, as both of them finally snapped.

A idea popped in my head as I walked towards Ukai-san.

"Please teach us, Ukai-san"I plead desperately, asking for assistance to our manager.

"Hinata, do I look like someone who gets good grades?" He interjected as I felt heavy, like blocks have squashed me.

"In this rate we'll have low grades!" I yelled, as I was now in a serious trouble.

The door of the gyms creaked opened as that person came inside, running gracefully.

"Takeda-sensei, the vice principal is calling for you" The blonde haired girl said, as a bulb appeared above me.

"Kisaragi-san, please teach me how to study!" I plead as I grabbed her hand, begging.

Suddenly, Kageyama, Noya-senpai, and Tanaka-senpai, begun to plead as well.

"Please teach us!" We all said in the same time as she was flustered.

"Okay" She replied as we jumped in the air, really glad we snagged a tutor to help us.

"How about after school, can you give us help us study?" I asked her as she nodded.

Kisaragi-san is really smart, whenever we have a test, she always gets the highest score in the class.

"Listen, this question is really tricky, be careful in this one" Kisaragi-san said, she sat beside me and started teaching me.

S-She's so close to me!

I blushed as I looked at her lips that are moving, explaining to me how to answer this question, I somehow can't understand what she's saying as I was lost in thought.

"Do you get it?" Her voice made me snapped from my monologue, I opened my lips as words slipped out.

"Your really pretty" I unconsciously commented, her cheeks turned red as mine also did after I realised what I just said.

"U-Um...sorry, I was--" I was cut off when a eraser hit my forehead, I turned to Kageyama who was glaring daggers at me.

"Listen attentively, idiot" He said, as he proceeded copying notes from Arisu's notebook.

"Hey Arisu-san, I don't get this" Noya-senpai, as Kisaragi-san sat beside him and leaned in looking at his text book.

"Where is it that you don't get?" She asked.

"This one, I can't understand it no matter how I look at it"  He replied, as she started teaching him the part he doesn't get.

I felt someone sat beside me and whispered something near my ear.

"What a scary look your giving at, are you jealous?" Tsukishima whispered, as I backed away from him.

"I'm not, leave me alone" I said, as I started reading Kisaragi-san's notes, I heard him chuckle while I gritted my teeth.

"Do you get it, Hinata-kun?" She asked as she returned to my side, leaning on my shoulder and peek on my notebook.

I shook my head in reply, as I kept my eyes concentrated in the notes.

"I'll explain it again, you better listen this time" She said, as I nodded.

Normal Pov.

>>The Next Day>>

The results of the quizzes were done checking as the results were post on the bulletin board.

"I got 48/100, rank 107th of 168 students, geez...just two points and I'll already pass, damn it!" Tanaka yelled in frustration.

"Luck isn't on your side, Ryū, I have 50/100, I passed! Rank 99th" Nishinoya boasted, as he scored higher than Tanaka.

Then Hinata, Arisu, and Kageyama walked up to them, with a satisfied look on their faces.

"How's did the test went, you guys?" Nishinoya asked the three who just arrived.

"I got 68/100, rank 79th, not bad if I would say" Kageyama said nonchalantly.

"Ha! I got 69/100 and rank 75th, take that Kageyma!" Hinata said boastfully as Kageyama was pissed, the two of them started their cat fight.

"How's your score, Arisu-san?" Nishinoya asked once more, ignoring the two.

"93/100, rank 5th...well, I can't complain, I didn't study that much" Arisu said as she scratched her cheek lightly.

"Apologise to everyone in the world who takes exams seriously" Nishinoya and Tanaka said in the same time as they pointed their fingers at Arisu.

"I-I'm sorry" Arisu said.

"Say like you mean it, damn it!"
Tanaka said, as he was now frustrated.

"I'm sorry...?" She said.

"Why did it turned out to be a question?!" Nishinoya said.

Arisu finished packing her things as she was about to go home when Hinata spoke.

"Can you help me study again, Kisaragi-san?" He asked.

"I don't mind, but don't you have to practice volleyball?" She said.

"I-I'll skip practice this time, just help me study!" He pleaded, not wanting to be kicked out of the club.

"Okay, so where should we study?" She asked.

"I don't know...how about your house? Just kidding" He said, as he let out a laugh.

"I don't mind" Arisu said.

"R-Really? But...is it really okay?" Hinata asked, as he was taken back.

"Yeah, let's go, I have to study at home as well" She said as they started walking out of the classroom.

Hinata grabbed his bike from the parking as he remembered that Arisu was with him.

"Hey Kisaragi-san, you don't have a bike, do you?" He asked as the girl shook her head in responce, he put his bag in the basket and rode it.

"Hop in, we'll go to your place riding my bike" Hinata said.

"Really? That's nice!" Arisu said as she hurriedly sat on the bike.

Hinata started to paddle as the bike moved, they cut through the wind while seating.

"The wind feels so good, doesn't it, Kisaragi-san?" Hinata asked.

"Yeah, it's really refreshing" She replied feeling the wind strike her as she was pleased.

They were silence for awhile as they felt the wind hit their skin.

"Hey Hinata-kun, how is Kageyama-kun? I haven't talk with him for awhile now" Arisu casually asked, breaking the silence.

"Ah Kageyama, huh? He's still an asshole" Hinata said, as Arisu let out a laugh.

"You two get along with each other so much" Arisu said.

"How so? He still has that cocky personality which pisses me off" Hinata said angrily.

"I don't think his cocky, he seems really nice and cool" Arisu stated, disagreeing with him.

"What part of him is nice?" Hinata said, as he heard a laugh beside him.

"Well, he always helps me when I'm in trouble...so I though he isn't so bad" Arisu said.

"Is that trait of his made you adore him?" He asked which made the girl blushed.

"You could say that...I just like him, that's it" She said in final.

Even if I'm here, he's still the one in your mind...it's hopeless for me.

They've reached Arisu's house, or rather apartment as Hinata parked his bike nearby.

"Do you live by yourself, Kisaragi-san?" Hinata asked.

"Unfortunately, yeah, it gets lonely when you live alone" She said as she brought out her key and opened the door to her apartment.

She took of her shoes as Hinata did the same, knowing he would come inside a girl's house made him nervous.

They entered the interior as Hinata's eyes widened in how wide her place can be.

"Whoa, your place is huge!" Hinata said as they reached the living room.

"Really? I think it's small...our house in america is 10x larger than this one" Arisu nonchalantly said as she made her way in.

"10x larger?! Talk about rich!" Hinata said as he was surprised.

"I'll change my clothes, wait for me here, okay?" She said as the boy nodded, then she went to her room to change.

Hinata took a seat on the couch as it was really soft, he looked around the place--it was neat!

Arisu opened the door to her room as she placed her bag on the bed and started getting clothes.

It's my first time to let a boy in my house...I'm kind of nervous.

She blushed, after dressing she returned back to the living room.

"Let's study now" Arisu said as she sat down on the floor beside Hinata, which he nodded in reply.

"Ugh, I don't get it! It's too complicated" Hinata whines as he messed his hair in frustration.

"It's simple, just read the question carefully and--"  She was cut of when a grumbling sound pierced the air, which made the two in silence.

Hinata blushed in embarrassment as Arisu let out a huge laughter which made him more embarrassed than ever.

"So that's why you can't understand the question because your hungry! I'm going to cook you something" Arisu said as she stood up and was about to walk to the kitchen when he spoke.

"Y-You don't have to, I'll just eat at home, Kisaragi-san" Hinata said feeling embarrassed.

"Don't be shy, I'm also hungry so were even" Arisu said as she went to the kitchen.

Crap, that's embarrassing!

Hinata covered his face that is bright red, and how he wished that the ground would swallow him now.

He stood up and walked to the same direction where Arisu went, he saw her getting ingredients inside the refrigerator. 

"Hey Kisaragi-san, do you mind if I help? It's the only thing I could do" Hinata said.

"It's alright, you can proceed in studying" Arisu said without looking at him while she's proceeded to cook they're dish.

"Alright" Hinata said, he watched Arisu cooks as her every movement was fluently and gracefully.

He was kind of worried about his grades, if this continues he might really be kicked out.

"Hey Kisaragi-san, what should I do if I really failed?" He asked.

"Your Plan A is: Study!" She said while getting a knife as she glance at him.

"What if Plan A fails?"
He asked, worriedly.

"If Plan A and Plan B fails, there is always a third option: Plan C" She said.

Hinata let out a heartily laugh at he found it adorable when she posed in such a cute way.

"Your right, Kisaragi-san!" He said as the girl smiled at him and proceeded cooking.

He walked towards her to check her cooking, she was about to slice the meat when he spoke.

"What are you cooking?" He asked as he was somewhat curious, Arisu turned to him with a knife in hand.

"Want to be cooked?" She nonchalantly asked as it is the normal thing to say to someone.

"N-No I don't want to--Don't point the knife at me!" He said as he freaked out when Arisu pointed him the knife.

Arisu then laughed loudly which made Hinata embarrassed.

"Just kidding" She said as she stucked out her tongue at him.

She boiled the food and ingredients in 5 minutes as she was finally done doing the side dishes, Hinata's eyes widened at the aroma the dish gave out.

"Let's eat" Arisu said as Hinata nodded in reply, the both of them sat down on the chairs while they faced each other.

Hinata jugged the food as he satisfied himself with the homemade dish that Arisu cooked.

"How is it?" Arisu asked nervously but curious how her friend would reply in her dish.

"It's delicious!" Hinata said which made Arisu pleased.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yup! I'd be lucky if I can eat your homemade dishes everyday" Hinata said while he was eating fast.

"Well...If it's you, I can make lunch for you sometimes"
Arisu said while she fiddled with her fingers, averting her gaze from him.

"Really? Thanks!" He said.

Arisu blushed when he smiled at her, that actions of his made her really happy.

It's been awhile since I felt this feeling...It's not so bad

After eating, they proceeded studying, as Hinata is finally learning.

"I finally get it now! Thank you Kisaragi-san" He said as he finally knows the answer.

"Now for this question, you have to understand this part to answer it" Arisu explained while teaching him how to solve it.

Hinata woke up as he fell asleep while studying, he dozed off.

Ugh, when did I fell asleep?

He thought, he turned to the person on the other side of the table, she was asleep.

She's asleep--Can't be helped, it's the middle of the night.

He looked at her, she was sleeping while leaning her cheek on the table, peacefully.

He sat beside her and just stared at her sleeping face, his fingers touched her bangs as he tucked it behind her ear.

"I'm doing my best to get you two together" Hinata softly said, as he just looked at her.

He leaned down and pressed his lips on her cheek, gently kissing it, after that he backed away while he let out a sad smile.

"But I find it really difficult"
