Arisu's Pov.

My eyes fluttered open as the first thing I saw was the ceiling smiling down on me, I sat up and noticed that I was laying on a comfy bed.

I scanned through the room with my hazel eyes as it was kind of large and properly arranged, it was like someone was cleaning this room frequently.

My pair of orbs stopped at a picture frame that is sitting on the table beside me, the picture was all about us, my family, with my mom and dad.

That's when realisation hit me, I was sleeping on my own room! I didn't noticed it until I saw the picture frame.

I missed this room, it gives out a beautiful fragrance of sweet roses, the scent made me relaxed.

Then I massaged my temples as I sighed heavily, still can't remember what just happened, I tried to recall the recent events but nothing comes in mind to why was I here.

Probably I was knocked out from behind, yeah maybe...there's no proper explanation for it.

I heard a knock from the huge doors as I suspected it was one of the maids or butlers in this huge house.

"C-Come in" I absentmindedly said, in my surprised the person didn't came in.

"What did you just said, Lady Alice?" I heard a female voice said behind the doors as it made me realised.

That's right, I'm not in Japan...

"You may come inside" I said in english while it was perfectly fluent.

Like I just said, she came in with a tray of food which appeared to be my breakfast, she lay it down on the table next to my bed.

"Pardon, may I ask what happened to me yesterday? I couldn't seem to recall it" I asked the lady maid as she turned to me with a apologetic look in the eye.

"My sincere apologise, madam. But I can't tell you that information" She stated while bowing down formally.

"And why is that?" I asked as my eyebrows furrowed, curiosity made me push further.

"Master Jude forbid us to give you that information" She stated, as my tounge clicked loudly, making the maid flinched which I didn't paid heed attention.

Figures, so he's behind this, huh?

"Dismiss" I stated as I gave her the permission to set off feet on my room.

"Understood, Lady Alice. May I just remind you there will be a party tonight" She interjected, making me curious to the certain subject.

"Why will there be a party?" I asked while gazing at her.

"The Akabane royalties will come here to have a party with the Kisaragi royalties" She answered my questions as my eyes widened.

W-What? Father is serious of getting me married with that fake Karma?

I could feel the daylights of my life being sucked by the ground as the colours of my face seems to fade.

I need to escape this place before I get officially married to that guy!

"Father, what is the meaning of this? Why did you decided that I will get married?" I complained to my oh-so father with annoyance laced in my voice.

"With him around, he'll ensure our future fortune" He stated while his lips curved in a smirk.

"I won't get married to anyone, don't decided my future for me!" I blurted, I also have rights to complain.

"So...what are you going to do about it?" He asked as his chin rested in his fist while looking at me, he was sitting on his comfortable seat.

He's messing with me, stop this nonsense already!

"I'm leaving!" I stated my resolve, I'm not going to get married to that man.

"Sure...that's if you can" He stated while his eyes glared at me, making me shiver.

You'll see--I'm so leaving this place!

Normal Pov.

Arisu ran out of the office to run, but she can't run to her full speed because of the dress and heels making it harder.

Successfully, she reached the exit of the mansion and saw a huge sun lighting up the world, the weather wasn't that bad nor hot, it was fine.

"See? I did it, I exited the mansion!" She stated while looking at the balcony which leaded to her father's office.

This is easier that I thought, can't wait to see everyone again!

A tiny bit of hope rose in her chest but it broke when she saw lots of huge armed guards near the gates, each of them holding deadly weapons.

Her face turned white as sheets at how many the guards are, she knew that his father was dead serious about this.

T-That's unfair! I can't escape now!

"You seem to be down, Alice. Need some help to get free?" She heard the voice of a man in his early 30's who was standing on the balcony.

"No thank you!" She stated while gritting her teeth as her father laughed.

I'm so getting out of this place!

Since she was out of ideas in escaping, she walked through the garden and spotted some guards who were on guard at all times.

I can't get free from this place.

She stooped at a certain monument that is standing on her way, her glare from earlier turned into a soft gaze.

"Hello, mother" She spoke softly to the grave in front of her.

Kisaragi Lacie was full blooded Japanese woman, she was an actress back then, she worked really hard in her chosen route.

She has the same blonde hair and hazel eyes, but she wears eye contacts fur to her eye condition, a splitting image of Alice, her daughter, she was also smart.

"Mother, I have lots of things I want to tell you...it's so many that I don't know where to start" Arisu said as her eyes were stung while tears slowly form in her eyes.

"I ran away from my father because he only sees me as an object of success, going straight to Japan, I met a certain boy called Kageyama Tobio" She started telling her late mother her stories when she first arrived in Japan.

"He was charming, good looking, and cool...then I also met another guy called Hinata Shouyou" She said while a smile curved in her lips to the memories she had.

Jude walked around the mansion to find her daughter as he spotted her talking to his wife.

He just hid behind the tree near them and listen to what she's says to Lacie.

"This Hinata Shouyou guy has tangerine coloured hair, we were seat mates at school! He also plays volleyball" She started to tell her about random stuffs about the team.

"You know what, mom? I have a guy that I love...his name was Hinata Shouyou, the one I kept talking about earlier!" She said while her eyes glisten while telling her story.

Hinata Shouyou, that's the name of the guy she loves? How lame...

His father inwardly commented, but he kept listening anyways.

"When I was at the airport at Japan, he confessed his feelings for me as I returned my feelings as well...I was so happy, but somehow felt heartbroken to the fact I'll leave everyone back in Japan" She said softly while recalling what happened.

She had a long pause before continuing her long, long story.

"He cried, begged for me to stay...I also wanted to stay but my father is so persistence, why is always stealing my happiness away from me?" She said while sadness is visible in her tone.

Jude's eyes widened in what he just heard, but it widened more when he saw tears coming out from Alice's eyes.

"Now he wanted me to marry a random guy against my will, if I did that...I couldn't be with Shouyou-kun anymore, and I don't want that...I want to stay with him!" She said while crying, protesting what she wants, what she yearns for.

I-I'm stealing Alice's happiness?

He didn't knew her daughter fall for that guy that much, it was indeed, unexpected.

"I wanted to be with Shouyou-kun more, I wanted to spent my time with more...I wanted to make many memories with him if possible!" She said while wiping her tears from her eyes, she's in grief right now.

"...What should I do, mom...?" She asked as Jude finally left his hiding place and went up to his office.

The lonely man sat on his office all alone, not knowing if his way of things is right anymore.

His eyes looked intro the schedules of flights as his eyes finally stopped at the certain time and place.

I'm such an jerk to my daughter, to the point she'll cry like that...I'm a failure as a father.
