Arisu's Pov.

I barely reached the stadium, as the game was about to begin. I sat on the bleachers where the flag of Karasuno High is near. In the distance, I watched them play in silence.

I was fascinated by Hinata-kun's jumps as he spiked the ball to the other team, resulting they scored a point for it.

They are really amazing, they have the passion in wanting to win. I thought, after some couple of minutes, the game took ends as Karasuno High won against Tokonami.

They took a break as I walked up to their team with a refreshing smile in my face.

"Hey Hinata-kun, you were cool" I said as I finally reached them, he turned to me with a smile on his face as well.

"Thank you, Kisaragi-san. I'm glad you came" He said as he was all sweaty from the play.

"Hey Arisu-san, how was I?" The guy from the gym yesterday who was smaller than Hinata-kun, asked.

"You were not bad...um" My sentence trailed, not knowing his name.

"I didn't introduce myself properly, I'm Nishinoya Yuu" He said with a smile on his face.

Then Hinata-kun introduced me to his team mates as I was now an acquaintance to them. Which made me glad because I was able to know an intriguing team.

Then the tournament had started once more, it was Karasuno versus Dateko.

I noticed that the Girl's Volley Ball Team beside me, were cheering for the boys, as loud as they can.

Then someone tapped my shoulder as my eyes met a girl with short dark brown hair and with matching brown eyes.

"Hey, are you cheering for Karasuno too?" She asked with a grin on her face.

"Y-Yes, who might you be?" I asked, trying to be polite.

"Michimiya Yui, the captain of the girl's volleyball team. A 3rd year high school student" She stated, introducing herself.

S-She's my senpai!

"Kisaragi Arisu, a 1st year high school student" I stated, shyly.

"Oh I know you, Daichi told me about you, I've heard you were Hinata's girlfriend" She said which made me flustered.

"N-No, I'm not his girlfriend. He's just my classmate" I stated the truth.

She just smiled and nodded as we proceeded watching the match, the way Kageyama-kun tosses the ball to Hinata-kun was cool, it's like they have great trust with each other.

But I noticed that Dateko has a great defense, which was a tough opponent against Karasuno.

Well, in the end, Karasuno won the match, as they rejoiced happily. It made me slightly happy by their victory.

I run towards the winning group, as I called Kageyama-kun, as I accidentally bumped into someone which made fell on my butt.

I looked up and met his gaze. Yeah, he was so tall, I bet his taller that Kageyama-kun.

"Oh, I'm sorry, are you hurt?" He asked, while he offer his hand to me to stand.

"I-I'm alright" I said, as I grabbed his hand and he helped me to stand. I felt an scary aura being stabbed on me at the back.

I noticed that some girls were glaring at me, it must be this guy's fangirls, they're heads over heels to him which made me shiver.

"Your cute, what's your name?"
He asked, with a smile on his face.
I just go ahead and answer, because it will be kind of rude if I didn't.

"K-Kisaragi Arisu is my name"
I stated shyly, as there stood before me is a handsome guy, a Bishounen!

"I'm Oikawa Tōru, nice too meet you, Kisaragi-chan"
He said, suddenly, he held a piece of my hair and kissed it. Causing my face to turn red.

H-H-He kissed my hair!

"Hey you, don't go all touchy with Arisu-san!" Nishinoya-kun protested, as he butted in the space between us.

"He's right, don't touch her, damn it!" Tanaka-kun growled, as he was pissed.

Someone grabbed my wrist as it pull me towards to it's direction, I looked up to see Kageyama-kun.

"Hands off her, Oikawa-san" He said with his normal cold tone, as he glared at Oikawa-kun.

"Whoa, scary! Okay, okay, see you later, Kisaragi-chan" He stuck out his tongue, pointed at me before leaving, my cheeks slightly got warmer.

"Tch, damn that guy, he pissed me off" Nishinoya-kun said, glaring at the guy who just left.

"He and his looks, damn it!" Tanaka-kun said, as I can feel heat in those two. All I could do was to let out an awkward laugh.

"Did he did something to you, Kisaragi?" Kageyama-kun asked, as he lets go of my wrist.

I slightly felt happy about him being so thoughtful. I shook my head lightly in respond as I turned my attention to him.

"He helped me to stand up, and he just kissed my hair" I calmly explained to him, as he frowned.

"Just kissed your hair? Jeez, you should be angry, it's improper for a guy to do that"
He said, as he was kind of irritated.

Can I assume...that he is jealous?

I thought, as I was kind of taken back to his tone.

"Sorry" I said, as I cracked out a awkward laugh, breaking the tension.

"Fix your stuff and we'll go straight back to the academy!"
Ukai-san informed, as everyone excluding me, nodded in reply.

Then Kiyoko-san walked up to me, beautiful as usual.

"Kisaragi-san, if you would like you can join us to commute to the academy" She offered, as I shook my head in reply.

"Thank you for the offer, but I can go home myself...I think"
I trailed the last part, as I was kind of new to Japan's area.

I only followed Kiyoko-san's directions here in this stadium by a dumb sheer luck, I'm not so confident in my own.

"You'll come with us, what if you were hit on by some random guys again? I won't be there to help you" Kageyama-kun said, as I was kind of happy in what he said.

H-He's worried about me...

The other members started to walk out of the stadium as Kageyama-kun grabs his sport bag.

"We're going, Kisaragi" He said and took my hand and pulled me.

His hands are surprisingly big...

I entered the mini bus they're riding, as they looked at me.

"Kisaragi-san, seat beside me!"

"Heck no, she's seating beside me!"

"Please seat beside me!"

They begun to fight over me, as I was confused where to seat at, I heard a voice nearby which I spotted Hinata-kun, waving at me.

I sat beside him, as he was seating beside the window, he grinned at me.

"Yay, Kisaragi-san sat beside me!" He playfully stated, as I heard the boys groan.

"Damn you Hinata, you lucky fool!"

"I'll get her next time!"

I heard them said, as I leaned my back, kind of tired today. The vehicle started to move as everyone was worn out.

"Hey Kisaragi-san, how did I do?" Hinata-kun asked, while pointing his index finger at him.

"You were cool, the way you jump and spike was excellent, good job" I complimented him, as he blushed, a glint of happiness can be seen in his eyes.

"Oh no, it was nothing~" He said, embarrassment was written in his face.

We talk about random stuff as I kind of feel that we are getting closer to each other. Having a friend isn't in a foreign place is not so bad.

I noticed that he was quiet, I turned my head as his head fell on my shoulder which made me flinched.

He was asleep, playing 2 matches straight is rough, no wonder they are so tired.

"Your really cool, Hinata-kun" I mumbled, as I let him sleep on my shoulder, as I slowly doze off and fell asleep myself.

Normal Pov.

"Whoa, they are asleep"

"It makes me doubt if they really are a couple or not"

"How cute~"

The boys commented, as they watched the two students asleep.

Arisu's eyes fluttered open as she stood up straight, her neck has been hurting her.

"Hinata-kun, were here, wake up" She said, gently waking Hinata who was asleep.

"When did I feel asleep?" He said, as he rubs his eyes.

"Wake up, you airhead" Kageyama said, as he clutched Hinata's hair, tigthly.

"What are you doing Kageyama? It hurts!" Hinata complained as he was hurting.

They went out of the mini bus, and they started having a meeting, as Arisu bids them luck for they're next match tomorrow.

"I'm so happy to meet you again, Kisaragi-chan" Oikawa said, as he greeted Arisu.

"I-I feel the same" Arisu replied, as it was the first thing that came up in her mind.

"Don't touch Kisaragi-san!" Hinata said, as he went in front of Arisu, blocking her sight of Oikawa.

He was slightly intimated by the tall guy's presence, as he begun to shake.

"W-What are you looking at? Want a f-fight, damn it?!" He stuttered, as he held his fist out, shaking like a chicken.

"No way, I wouldn't want to hit a elementary like high school student you know?" Oikawa jokingly said, as he cracked out a small laugh.

"We won't lose, Oikawa-san" Kageyama said, as he walked towards them with a determined look.

The two male volleyball players looked at him with matching determination, as the older male smirked.

"Do your best, Karasuno. Cheer for me, Kisaragi-chan~" He said as the two males were pissed by his attitude.

The infamous heartthrob Oikawa, walks back to his team as the boys glared at him.

"Goodluck, Hinata-kun, Kageyama-kun. I'll be cheering for you guys at the back" Arisu interjected as they nodded in reply.

Arisu walked to the bleachers as she saw two familiar faces that been here yesterday.

"Ah, your the girl yesterday! Are you a student at Karasuno?" A blonde haired male with brown eyes asked Arisu.

"Yes...Who might you be?" She politely asked to the elders.

"I'm Takinoue Yusuke, a alumni of this school, and a former member of the volleyball club"
He introduced himself to the girl.

"Oh, I'm Kisaragi Arisu, nice too meet you" Arisu said.

"Figures that your a student in Karasuno, I'm Shimada Makoto, a alumni and former member of the volleyball club, nice too meet you" A man with black hair that wears brown-rimmed glasses said.

I see...alumni, huh? Seems nice
Arisu thought.

"So, who's your boyfriend in the team?" Takinoue asked, nudging the girl as she blushed.

"Stop it Yusuke, your being rude" Shimada said, as the male with him could only laugh.

"I-I have no boyfriend!" Arisu said, waving her hands out.

"Oh I see, I thought you have one, so what made you come and watch the match?" Takinoue nonchalantly asked.

"Hinata-kun asked me to come and watch" She said as the two nodded in reply.

A loud shrill pierced the air as the game started, everyone's attention was on the court.

"Hang in there, Oikawa-kun!"
Three girls cheered for Aobajōsai from the bleachers.

Oikawa waved at them after he performed his jump-serve as the three squealed, he turned to Arisu and winked at her.

She felt glares of daggers directed at her as she saw that it was from the three girls cheering for Oikawa a moment ago.

"That Oikawa took a liking of you girl, you know him?" Shimada asked the girl.

"I met him just yesterday"
Arisu stated, as she watch how refreshing that guy could be.

The match went on for awhile as every player was doing there best not to fall the ball.

They took a time out as they redo their strategy, as watching the match was worthwhile.

Kageyama tossed Hinata the ball as Hinata spiked it and scored, seeing this made Arisu realised something.

Incredible, all this in the blink of an eye. That you...really are so far, out of my reach.

She thought, as she was mesmerised by Hinata's spike while she clutched her shirt.

Time passed by as the 3rd match took place, 5 points left and Aobajōsai's will win.

"If this keeps up, they will lose" Takinoue commented, as Shimada nodded, agreeing with him.

"They won't lose, the ball hasn't fall the court yet" Arisu said, as she somehow understand why Hinata wanted to win so much.

She believe in that, she really did.
But, it wasn't so extraordinary that they would lose, isn't it?

Hinata spiked the ball as it was marvellously blocked by Aobajōsai, the ball fell in Karasuno's place as the game was finished.

Aobojōsai won against Karasuno

"They...lose?" Arisu said, still can't believe what just happened.

"Yup, looks like it"
Shimada said.

"Can't be helped, Aobōjosai is really tough" Takinoue said.

"No way" She muttered, she made her way to Karasuno's male volleyball team, to see them depressed.

"You did your best, everyone" Was all Arisu said, as everyone lowered their heads in frustration.

None of them dared to speak, as Hinata quickly run out of the stadium.

"Hinata-kun, wait!" Arisu yelled, as she run to follow Hinata, but before she did, she took a final glance and ran.

Where could he be...?

Arisu thought, she started searching of possible places, park, field, and parkings.

But she found him near the water fountain, letting his hair soaked by the water.

"Hinata-kun...are you okay?" Arisu asked, as Hinata turned off the faucet while he wiped his hair with his towel.

"Yes I am, why did you asked?"
Hinata nonchalantly said, as he turned at the girl.

"You suddenly run out of the stadium, I was worried"
Arisu said, looking at the boy.

"Well, as you can see, I'm okay, don't worry" Hinata said, forcing a fake smile as he hold back his tears tugging in his eyes.

"Your not okay" Arisu said, as she looked at him with a pained expression.

"What are you talking about? I'm ok--" He was cut off by her.

"Your lying, the truth is you were frustrated that you lost, you run out of the stadium so no one would see you cry!"
She yelled, it shocked her when she went out and did it.

Hinata stare at her in surprised, as Arisu shook her doubts and continued.

"I know...you've been working hard because you still want to play in the court, you never wanted to lose again so you practiced hard" Arisu explained, as if she can see in Hinata.

Hinata clutched his palm, not letting a tear fell out from his eyes.

"Being defeated is temporary, giving up is permanent"

Hearing those words from her, tears finally burst out from his eyes, as he was crying.

"Yeah, everything you've said is true! I was frustrated, angry, sad that we lost! There's no way I'm okay" He sat down on the grass while covering his face with his hands as he was crying.

Arisu sat down and hugged him which made him cry harder, he wrapped his arms around her and cry on her shoulders.

"If only I didn't spiked the last one! If only I didn't panicked back then! If only...." He said repetitively, he hugged her tighter as she didn't mind.

"...If only I was a better spiker!"

He continued to cry, as Arisu ruffled his hair in comfort. This is the least she can do for him.

"You'll beat them next time,
for sure" She said, soothing him.

Unknown to them, someone was there watching them, it was his teammates.

They knew how he felt, and how he needed someone's comfort at this moment, right now.

Hinata's Pov.

Kisaragi-san made me seat on a bench to help me relax, I covered my face with my towel.

"I'll get you a drink, wait for me, okay?" She said, as I nodded.

I heard her footsteps as she was walking away, I peeked at her to see her disappearing from my sight.

Kageyama is lucky, he has a girl like her to have feelings for him...
I can't helped but be jealous.

Time passed by as I waited for her arrival, but to see none.

She's late...what is she doing?

I stood up from my seat, and went to the nearest vending machine.

"That shrimp #10 lost, heck he was pathetic! Crying on a girl's shoulder like that"

"Yeah, that girl is really pretty, I wonder what she sees in him"

I accidentally heard some Aobojosai volleyball players conversation, it made me depressed and embarrassed.

I was so pathetic and helpless!

I was about to turn when I saw a blonde locks appeared in front of them.

"Hinata-kun isn't pathetic! Don't talk about him like that"
The female voice argued, as it was really her--Kisaragi Arisu.

"It's that girl with him earlier!"

"Your right! She's really cute"

Those guys started fawning her, complimenting how pretty she was.

"I hate people like you who can't understand other's despair" She angrily stated, walking near my place.

She bumped to me as she was surprised to see me here.

"Why did you stood up for me? Everything they said is true"
I said, as I looked down on the ground.

"No it's not true, you aren't pathetic. You are cool if you ask me!" Was what she said, why was she going this far for a lame old loser like me?

"No one would normally do that, yet you did" I stated the fact, it was true.

I could not think of anyone defending someone that they just met numbered of days.

"I hate it when other people say mean things about my friend"
She half yelled, which made me flinched a little.

"Just because you lost, your already that depress...You can just take back it again! So please, smile!" She plead, her eyes were showing a pained expression.

I slapped my cheeks and snapped out of myself which made her surprised.

"Yeah, your right. I just have to take it back" I said as my checks were red, I let out a smile.

"That's the Hinata-kun I know" She said, as somehow I felt really glad she was here.
