"It seems the best solution for now would be to keep you here. You can take classes with Rin to learn about the dangers of Assiah while you're here." Mephisto stated. "And I would suggest you keep your powers a secret, not everyone is as welcoming of abnormalities as us."    

"Hi everyone, my name is Lucy Heartfilia and this is Natsu Dragneel. We will be joining you in your studies." Lucy said to the cram school class. She sat down at one of the front desks with Natsu.

"Lucy and Natsu have transferred from another branch and are exwire students as you are. But their previous training involved less theory so they may have some knowledge gaps. Please help them in their studies and they should catch up in no time." Yukio said to his class. "As I told you last week, we will be having a test on the demon king Astaroth. You have ten minutes to study." Lucy looked around for books to study from. She let out a small tsk seeing Natsu had had already fallen asleep.

"Hey, blondie" a voice came from the desk behind her. She turned around to see a boy with a yellow streak in his hair and piercings lining his ears. "I'm Bon, this is Konekomaru and Renzo. What Meister are you and that slacker working towards?" he asked.

"Whats a Meister?" Lucy asked timidly, embarrassed at her lack of knowledge. Bon along with the other two at his desk looked at her, eyes wide.

"How do you not know what a Meister is! Talk about knowledge gaps."he exclaimed. "There are five Meister types: Knight, Dragoon, Doctor, Tamer, and Aria. Knights use swords, dragoons use guns, aria rehearse the fatal verses, doctors are self-explanatory and tamers summon demons to fight." Bon informed Lucy.

"Hmm, well I guess I would be a tamer then." Lucy said, "can you show me where the books to study from are."

"At the back, purple cover."

"Thanks." Lucy stood and walked to the back of the class aware of the stares of her new peers. She found the purple covered books titled 'Demon kings of Gehenna'. Lucy pulled out two light, dust covered books. Once getting back to her desk she placed one on her desk and used the other to hit Natsu in the head, creating an audible thunk.

"Hey! What was that for?" Natsu whined. Lucy silently pushed his book in front of him and flipped it open to the chapter they were studying. She studied as much as she could in the remainder of their ten minutes, muttering at one point how she wished she had levy's reading glasses. The test was short, finished after thirty minutes had passed.

"Your next class is in the training room, it will be starting in five minutes." Yukio announced dismissing the class. As they were heading to exit the classroom Lucy felt a strong hand grab her arm. Natsu had stopped them before the door.

"Did you see Happy?" Natsu asked quietly. Lucy gasped, eyes widening. His grasp tightening around her arm. "We lost him in the fight."

"He has to be around here somewhere then, I'm sure he's fine, we'll go looking as soon as we finish class." Lucy explained unable to hide the slight shake in her voice.

"No! We have to find him now!" Natsu half yelled, pulling her out the door and opposite of the training room.

"Wait, Natsu, if we go now without help we're going to get into more trouble then if we wait. We are no help to Happy dead." Lucy said calmly. He stood rooted in his spot for a moment before conceding and following her to the training room.

"Everyone! Settle down. I want you all to line up on this side of the gym." Mr.Tsubaki gestured to the furthest wall. "By each beep you should be at the opposite wall, the beeping will get progressively faster, if you don't make it in time you're out. Last one running wins." The exwires lined up along the wall sluggishly. Each muttering about the beep test about to ensue. With a beep the exercise started. The first laps were barely a light jog. Beep. A hard jog now required. Beep.

"Okay I'm done." Renzo panted, the first the stop. Beep. Beep. Next Shiemi and Konekomaru couldn't make it to the wall. Beep. Izumo quit running.

"Woah those four -beep- are really going for it" Konekomaru commented. The test was almost at a full run, Rin and Natsu were ahead of both Lucy and Bon. Beep. Lucy stopped, holding onto the wall for support. She walked over to the rest of the group slowly. Beep.

"Wow you lasted so long! Yukio wasn't kidding when he said you two did -beep- a lot of physical training." Said a cheerful looking girl with short blond hair and green eyes. "I'm Shiemi." She held out her hand to shake. Beep. Lucy completed the gesture giving Shiemi a toothy smile. Beep. They turned their attention back to the still going endurance test. Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Fine you two win" Bon collapsed giving up trying to win against the last two contestants. Rin and Natsu looked at each other realizing they were the last two running. Their speed increased simultaneously almost ahead of the beeping. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Natus overdoing it, like usual. We're going to be here all day." Lucy commented. Beep. Beep.

"Tsk. Show offs!" Izumo shouted at the two still running. Rin started to pull forward but Natsu shot forward. Beep. Rin slowed on the next lap before stopping his hands on his knees breathing heavily, sweat dripping from his hair. Once Natsu turned around seeing he had won he gave Rin a thumbs up and a grin before collapsing.
