Maddie's POV
The bear took one of us. It took Nia. Maybe it wouldn't come for anyone else. Maybe Nia was it. But it hurt me to see her be killed, and, sadly, eaten alive. It probably hurt me more than it hurt her. No, that wasn't possible. She was dead, and there was nothing anyone could do about it. Kendall fainted on the spot. Now, I most of my attention was turned to helping my best friend.
She hit the ground with a small thud. "Kendall!" I yelled. Some of the other girls turned to Kendall. Not Chloe. She was literally in tears, screaming, "Nia, Nia, Nia!" I was very concerned, but I turned to Kendall after she fainted.
The bear took a part of Nia and ran. Suddenly, the air began to smell like death. Dead animal. No dead... Human, I want to say? I don't know.
"Kendall, Kendall, wake up!" I said. No response. "Kendall, please?" Paige said. "Come on, KK, you can do it!" Brooke piped up. Still nothing from Kendall. No movement, no noise, no nothing. "Kendall, please wake up! We need you!" Mackenzie chimed in. Nothing. "Here, I got this." Said Chloe, suddenly here. She took out her water bottle and poured some over Kendall's head. "Chloe!" Everyone yelled. "What?!" Chloe asked. "You wasted water!" Said Paige. Chloe shrugged and opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off. Kendall groaned and rubbed her eyes. "Kendall!" We all exclaimed. "What happened?!" She asked. "Nia got eaten!" Paige exclaimed. "Ew ew ew ew ew! Gross!" She said in disgust. "Paige, why would you just tell her that on the spot?!" Chloe asked. "I dunno! 'Cause she needed to know." Paige replied.
            "C'mon, Kendall." I said, lifting Kendall up. "Whoa! Still a little dizzy here!" Kendall said. "Sorry! Here, lean on me." I said. "K guys. Let's keep going."
