The Interrogation
Percy's P.O.V
I sat on the small bed. I didn't know where I was. The walls around me were white and there was a camera on the wall. I brought my knees to my chest and wrapped my arms around them. That girl, the brunette. She messed with my mind. I knew exactly what she did. She made me see my fears, except she didn't know that I had already lived them. But it still hurt. Memories flashed through my mind. I heard a door open but didn't bother looking who had entered. I stared at a wall until the person cleared their throat. I still ignored them.
"Hey kid." I heard someone say.
"I'm not a kid." I replied immediately. I looked up and saw Spangles. Red was standing next to him.
"Can you walk?" She asked. I rolled my eyes.
"What kind of a question is that?" I muttered. She seemed to hear me because she bristled angrily.
"Come with us." Spangles said. I paused. How many times have I heard that? I stood up and cautiously followed them. Spangles showed me to a room. How cliché. An interrogation room. The room was white and had cameras on the walls. A long table was in the middle. Chairs were on either side of it. There was a large window on one wall. I couldn't see through it but I was sure that you could on the other side.
"Sit." He commanded. I shrugged and sat at one side of the table. Red and Spangles left the room again. I sat for about ten minutes, waiting. Eventually my ADHD kicked in and I started drumming my fingers on my legs. Then Red came in again.
"Hello. My name is Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow." She paused, as if expecting that I knew her. Then she looked surprised and shocked that her name didn't ring a bell, but she didn't pursue it.
"Anyway, may I ask-"
"Where am I?" I interrupted.
"In Stark Tower. As I was saying. May I ask you a few questions?" She asked. I shrugged.
"Where are you from?"
"Manhatten."
"Family?"
"My father was lost at sea before I was born. My first step father went missing and my mother has recently remarried. I have lots of uncles and aunts on my father's side. I have a half brother named Tyson and two pets, Blackjack and Mrs O' Leary."
"Where do you go during the summers?"
"A summer camp."
"Why did you disappear for nine months?"
"It was a family emergency."
"Why did you blow up the St. Louis Arch and then jump out of it?" I felt my cheeks heat up slightly.
"I didn't. Some crazy woman with a chihuahua blew it up and threw me out." She looked doubtful.
"What were you doing travelling around the globe?"
"Ever heard of a vacation?"
"Where did you learn to fight?"
"It's classified." I smirked at her annoyed face. Then she stood up.
"What are you?" She asked.
"I can tell you what I'm not."
"Yeah? What's that?" She asked.
"Normal." I laughed as she stormed out of the room. One angry. Another five or six to go. Next was the robot man, except he wasn't wearing his suit.
"I am Tony Stark. Also known as Ironman." He said with a smug expression.
"Who?" I asked. He gaped at me, dumbstruck.
"How do you not know who I am?" He demanded. I shrugged.
"Just get to the point." I said in annoyance.
"Alright then. I am here to test your knowledge."

He stormed out of the door while I was in hysterics. I had annoyed him so much that he had tried to kill me almost seven times. Red, I mean, Natasha, had to come in and restrain him. That's two down. Next was Spangles.
"My name is Steve Rogers or Captain America. I would like-"
"You're not from this time. Are you?" I interrupted.
"What?"
"You're from a different time. A time during a war I'm guessing." I said. He looked unsettled.
"I had a friend from another time. I can tell that you are too. It was probably a big war. World war one? World war two? Ah. World war two." I said.
"H-how do you know?" He asked softly.
"You have the same look in your eyes as I do. Eyes that have seen war and death. But how did you get to this time?" I asked.
"I crashed a plane into ice. The ice kept my body alive." I nodded.
"You left someone. Someone that you loved. A girl perhaps?"
"Peggy." He whispered.
"She's old or dead now. Am I right?" He nodded.
"That's not all. You lost someone else."
"I've lost many people. It is war after all." He said.
"No. Someone closer. A friend perhaps?" I looked closely into his eyes.
"You couldn't have saved him."
"What?" He asked sharply.
"Your friend. You tried to save him. Didn't you?" He nodded slowly.
"Don't beat yourself up over it. I know it's hard but you have to accept that it wasn't your fault." I said.
"Anyway. I need to test you on your strength. We arm wrestled for a while (Me winning every single time). Then he led me to a gym type thing. He tested me on my endurance, my speed, my agility and my stamina. Then he brought me back to the interrogation room. Then came Bow guy. He was glaring at me. I guess he's still angry about me breaking his bow then knocking him out.
"I'm Clint Barton A.K.A Hawkeye. I will test your battle strategy." He said and pressed a button on a remote. The wall opened and it showed a large TV and a small black box with a glowing green circle. Clint noticed me staring.
"What? You've never seen an Xbox before?" He sarcastically.
"A what box?" I asked in confusion. He gawked at me then muttered,
"What kind of kid doesn't know what am Xbox is?"
"I'm not a kid." I said immediately.
"Whatever you say."

Clint too stormed out of the room. He was so smug in the beginning and then when I beat him, he became angry. We played at least ten times until he finally gave up. After ages someone else entered. It was the brunette. She cautiously sat down in the chair at the opposite side of the table, staring at me the whole time. I studied her and she studied me.
"I've seen many men's fear. But I have never seen one like yours." I tilted my head.
"I'm not like ordinary men."
"I can tell." We were silent for a while.
"Your mind is... so dark. You've seen so much."
"I've had a hard past."
"I've been in your head, I've seen your mind." I leaned forward so that our faces were inches apart.
"Then your lucky to still be sane." I whispered. Her eyes widened in fear and she ran out of the room. I leaned back in the chair. Then Natasha came back in.
"Come." She said and left, not waiting for me. I got up and followed her. She led me to a room. It was a meeting room. Everyone but Thor was there. There was a dark skinned guy wearing a black coat and had an eyepatch on one eye.
"Perseus Jackson."
"It's Percy." I interrupted. He glared at me and I glared back. He flinched and I held back a smirk.
"Percy. I am Director Fury." I was mildly surprised.
"Fury?" I asked.
"Yes, Fury. You got a problem with that?"
"Let's hope not." I muttered.
"We would like you to join the Avengers." He said, looking smug. I raised an eyebrow and tilted my head.
"The what now?" Everyone gawked at me.
"How do you not know who we are?" Tony demanded. I shrugged.
"We are the world's mightiest hero's!" Clint said looking smug.
"We saved the world twice!" Natasha shouted. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever." I muttered. Then they looked at me expectantly.
"What?" I demanded.
"Well? Will you join us?"
"No."
