Part 3
Bart doesn't remember me. As his girlfriend, anyway. But t it still hurts to know I have to go through all those memories and practically toss them in the trash. My best friend- boyfriend- practically doesn't understand that I am- was- his girlfriend.
I sit still, remembering the small, kind smiles he used to give me. The ones where his amber gold eyes sparkled, and he had a faint blush on his cheeks. And now it won't be the same ever again. Because I have the memories he doesn't. I really wished before all this that if he ever lost his memory, that he would at least remember us, and that I wouldn't need to do it all over again.
Not that I wouldn't do it all over again. I mean, after a while, you want to do things over again. You want them by your side as long as you can, and you always hope that as long as you can is the rest of your life. I know, I know. Too young to think like that. But you'd understand if you were me. It's hard to find someone who likes you, loves you. And then you find them, only to realize they'll be taken away. Taken away before it even lasts long enough for you to be happy.
Looking over at the speedster now, all I see was what happened before. Not what's happening now, not what will happen in the future. Because I know the future isn't good when you don't have your best friend at your side.
"Jay, yellow guy is coming." Bart whispered, only to snap me back to the present.
I nod, daggers in each hand. It was slightly darker then before, and a man in a yellow suit- the man in the yellow suit. Professor Zoom. The man who killed me. The one who created Thaddeus Thawne, who was ordered to kill Bart Allen, which created his memory loss.
I growled, taking my mask from the stones on the pool and sliding it on my face. My hands stayed tightly clenched around the daggers as Zoom lugged Thad's body into the cavern. Inherita.
Zoom frowned, giving Bart a look saying, "What?"
Bart shrugged, just as I threw a dagger at Zoom's hand after he put Thad on the ground. His hand collided with the stone wall, blood flooding from his hand. Bart looked over at me with wide eyes.
"Jay! He's a-
"No, he killed me Bart." I quickly cut him off before throwing another dagger at Zoom's leg. Zoom growled, letting his free hand drift to take it out. So easily, I threw another dagger at his hand.
A black and purple figure swung in, landing next to me. "Ah! Hello, Tigress!" She grinned widely, turning to face me. The golden bat symbol on her suit glittered in the light. The symbol I wasn't allowed to wear like she was.
"Hello, Batgirl." I hold myself back from making a smart retort, so I got up and threw another dagger at Zoom's leg. "Take Bart and go. I have something I need to take care of."
