6. Buddy, the hero

The hill was gradual and breath-stopping that we were forced to pant and palpitate. My face was sweat-dripping and my legs quivered with exhaustion and the bright golden glowing roasting hot sun, Buddy's tongue hanging out, saliva dripping down continuous.

The hill was gigantically gradual along with the forest having towering trees and current source. Buddy was walking guardedly not hurting his leg against rocks and immediately stopped and froze like a statue, staring at the trees beside the trail. Thereupon, she gave a high-pitched growl, gnashing her teeth. Glancing up there, I saw monkeys, three or four of them, clutching around the branches, screeching. They were a group of young chimpanzees, swinging more closely towards us. Suddenly I recall a book about monkeys written that to diffuse the situation, don't make eye contact or smile with your teeth to prevent signs of aggression and instantly clapped my hands, distracting Buddy to stop looking at the group and let them tranquil then shouted, "Let them behind and continue our way up to the top." Buddy spotted me gesturing to go away from there and obeyed.

We wandered up, subsequently, reaching out the summit, price-winning to reach the head of the hill as if Mount Everest. I newly set my hand on the brows again just like at the viewpoint to prevent the heat of the sun. There was a scenic view from up. I could see all of the paths and good gracious, there was a poultry farm.

"Time to slope down." I said, smiling cheekily and we gallivanted down flyingly not feeling the pain on to my excitement.

Once at the foot, we strolled up the pathway leading to the poultry farm. I was blithe, even overjoyed, my eyes fixed on the walkway where the poultry farm became bigger and bigger the more and more we approached. Suddenly, I felt something under my foot. I rolled my eyes down and I was alerted seeing a rattlesnake underneath. I rapidly removed my foot out of the rattlesnake. The snake rattled its tail and hissed deadly and tried to attack me but on the spur of the moment, Buddy jumped on him clawing and biting him not being venomously pierced because she caught him by the neck. The snake flung off and fled away with suffering.

"You're my hero, Buddy. You're so lion-hearted. You don't know how it means to me. It was so risky, it was a life-or-death situation." I said, crying with glee and terror, hugging him firmly.
