Divine Intervention

Dasia's POV

"SET, BROTHER!" A female voice calls out and barely able to lift my head I look up and see a radiant woman in a beautiful white gown staring Set down. "How dare you, have you not cause enough hate in my family, Egypt will never been completely ruled by you."

"Isis, sister. How kind of you to come and watch you son make one of the hardest or as he has said easiest decisions of his life. To chose between Hathor, the goddess of love or the mortal of which can free him from my curse." Set laughs as he looks at Hathor and I.

Isis walks up to me though as with one wave of her hand my energy comes back to me. Looking up at her I can see that she is smiling down at me. This just made me even more confused than I was before, why was Isis a major Egyptian goddess smiling down at me like that?

"Mortal you say?" Isis questions Set.

"So Hathor has claimed, that necklace around her neck is the only thing preventing me from killing her. Though I won't have too, Horus has said before he would have no trouble saving Hathor over the mortal." Set says as he walks up to me and takes his staff and places it under my chin. "Sticking with that choice nephew?"

Isis moved to my side and I could get a clear look at Horus and he looked like a deer caught in headlights. Not good for Hathor or myself. Before I knew what to do though I felt something clasp around my left wrist. Looking down at it I can see Isis had put a bracelet around my wrist and I looked up and her wondering why.

"She cannot be chosen, I have already given her the rarest gift of all. You cannot kill her Set." Isis tells Set with a commanding smile.

"What would that be?" Set says in an angry tone.

"I gave her my son, years ago when I forged that bracelet I enchanted it to make sure that it would only belong to the person of which my son's heart belonged to and as you can see the bracelet has accepted her." Isis states as Set looks down at the bracelet in horror since she had just ruined his plan.

However Set went right to Hathor and grabbed her by her neck and disappeared from the world that Set had created himself and now he had also been defeated in. The chains around me then disappeared from my body and Horus ran up to me and held me tightly.

"Can't you ever just stay by my side mortal?" Horus questions me and though I want to correct him for calling me mortal I decide against it.

"Forgive me my lord, it appears I am quite popular in this world. How did you get here?" I question as I wonder why he hasn't died since he left his temple.

"Thoth helped me with that." Horus says holding up a piece of something he wears around his neck. "I brought my temple with me."

"Clever, not that I would expect anything less from the god of wisdom." I smile as I look back to Thoth who nods at me.

"Forgive me son but since you are free I wish to ask for your helping finding the rest of your father and your friends help as well." Isis says as she gracefully walks up to us.

Horus of course wastes no time agreeing to help his mother, but how would I be able to help? I was mortal and would only slow them down. At least that is what I was thinking as I pulled away from Horus and shook my head. No disrespect to the goddess but I seemed to be more of a burden than a help in this case.

"Mortal or not, I believe you would be of great use to us and once we restore Osiris then we shall be able to take Set down, for good this time." Isis says as she comes and takes my hands in hers. "Do not underestimate yourself little mortal for I can see there is more to you than meets the eye."

Nodding because I didn't know what else to do, Isis smiles at me as she walks away and Horus playfully nudges me. Laughing as I look back at him I see Thoth make his way to the goddess and say something in a whisper to her before he bows and disappears.

"Come you two, let us leave this world forever." The goddess said raising her hands and light absorbing us within it, the last thing I feel is Horus grab ahold a of my hand, probably afraid that he would lose me again.

Opening my eyes I realize we are back in Horus temple, Isis looks back to us to make sure we are not harmed from the journey and lucky for me I am still in tact. Breathing a sigh of relief Isis begins to talk to one of her followers as Horus leads me away from his mother.

"This may be very dangerous for a mortal, you could die." Horus tells me as he looks into my eyes.

"Then I will have died for a strangely good reason and I will be waiting for you in the underworld." I shrug with a small smile.

Hard to smile when someone brings up the subject of death but I did the best that I could. Horus rolled his eye as he smiled as well pulling me closer to him. If there was a chance of this so called curse being broken then I think I was beginning to make progress because a part of me was starting to feel something for Horus that I hadn't before. Did he still drive me crazy at times? Of course but he also tried everything he could to make sure that I survived.

"Very good, my son it seems there are two pieces left one I can gather on my own but the other I will need you and the mortal to find deeply hidden within the Nile." Isis says as she looks between Horus and myself.

In the Nile? What exactly did she mean by 'in the Nile'? Looking to Horus I watched as he didn't delay for a moment but nodded in agreement to his mother. Taking my hand he began to lead me to the entrance of the temple and I decided to ask the crazy question I was thinking.

"What does she mean by deeply hidden in the Nile?"

"There are many chambers under the river, hope you can swim well." Horus says as he looks to me with a grin on his face.

"Oh well that's comforting." I sarcastically reply.
