A/N: hope you enjoy this is in Trystan's POV because of what happened to Jess in the previous chapter and basically this is like Trystan's views of what happened in the previous chapter and his reaction to when she doesn't come back not long after she went to the toilet. So enjoy and if you like it please vote for this chapter and I'll see you at the end of the chapter, bye!
Trystan
I felt guilty, for what I did to Jessie. For leaving her to explain to her mum what happened. I wasn't thinking about her and how she'd be upset, I was thinking about myself. I was thinking about what would happen if people found out about us. Found out that I could maybe like someone instead of using girls for their beauty instead of their intelligence.
I was also stupid, for talking to her to begin with. Letting her start to break down the walls that I had built up for years, so no one would see. For letting her see that side of me that not even my best friend had saw in me.
That was when it hit me. I cared about her. I actually cared about her more than I care about anything or anyone else in the world. I just wouldn't admit it to her or really in way to myself. That is until later that day when I was talking to Sarah. God I felt so stupid for admitting that she changed me, for kissing her. It was my fault, if it wasn't for me then we wouldn't have had that fight and she wouldn't have disappeared to the bathroom. It must have been because of me. Though as I thought about it, she had taken awhile in the bathroom, and she hadn't come back when it had been about half an hour. I frowned. Where the hell is Jessie? I thought to myself.
I then looked over at Sarah, who was looking at me, probably wondering the exact same thing, which is why she mouthed where the F is Jessie? I shrugged, mouthing;
No idea, why what's wrong? She shook her head and all of a sudden her face turned from worried to frightened, knowing something that I didn't and she was making me worried. Shit, shit, shit!
I swallowed and bit my lip. She better be okay I thought to myself I don't know what I'll do if she's not okay. After a while, the teacher finally started to notice.
"Does anyone know where Jessica is?" She asked, we all shook our heads. I looked at Sarah, then to the teacher.
"Can Trystan and I go look for her?" Sarah asked. "She went to the bathroom so maybe she's just thinking or something?" She guessed. She was guessing but she knew something I didn't, and I needed to know what she knew so I could find out if Jessie was okay.
The teacher let us go so we could find Jessie. As soon as we were out of the classroom I turned to Sarah.
"You're worrying me, what's wrong with Jessie?" She frowned.
"Nothing's wrong with her, but she finally trusted you and you betrayed her. You were talking and you obviously made her upset. She went through a tough time at school. She... She went through some dark times. So now I'm worried she's tried to do something because you made her upset. Either that or she could've had some kind of attack and passed out." Sarah said, "she may look strong, but she's not. She's broken. It's all your fault if something has happened to her!" She snapped.
And then I broke. "I know it's my fault, I know! I hate myself for it. I was a jerk to her, I know that, and worried shit about her and I have no idea, what's happened to her and I'm scared. I'm scared she's the reason something bad has happened and I care about her too much to lose her." I sighed. Sarah suddenly stopped.
"So you do care about her?" She asked, "then why did you do what you did last night?"
"I don't know, okay?" I said, "I was too worried about my damn self to think about what I was doing!"
"You were selfish. You know that, right?" I nodded. "And you're a really big jerk! You don't deserve her, at all! You treated her like shit! And yet she still really likes you for some odd reason! Then again, she says there's something different about you, I don't know how she thinks that. I mean you're basically like every other mean jerk in the world. It's not like you're a fictional character that does it to show face. Or maybe you are, I just can't see it." She shrugged, and walked off to the girls bathroom.
I followed her. After we got to the bathroom, Sarah and I stood there. "I shouldn't go in, you should. Guys don't go into the girls bathroom." I said, Sarah just raised an eyebrow at me and rolled her eyes.
"If you truly care about her, then you follow me inside and make sure she is okay. If the worst comes to the worst, then you will call 999 and help me get her to a hospital. Alright?"
I simply nodded. "Yeah, yeah, of course. Let's go inside then." I said, swallowing a breath I didn't realise I was holding.
Sarah turned the doorknob and opened the door. As we walked inside, I saw probably almost the worse thing someone could ever see, Jessie unconscious on the floor.
Sarah gasped and ran over to her, turning her over to see if she was hurt. She was. She had blood trickling down her face; she had obviously passed out and knocked her head on the sinks as she fell to the floor.
"Call an ambulance, now!" Sarah exclaimed. I put my phone to my ear after I called 999, waiting for someone to answer.
"Hello, emergency services, what is your emergency?" A woman with a high-pitched voice answered.
"My friend, she's unconscious on the bathroom floor. I don't know what happened. There's blood coming out of her head, she must have hit her head on the sinks on the way down." I said, "We're at our college and she went to the bathroom, we've just found her." I explained.
"What college are you at Sir?" She asked.
"Haven College." I said, "In Acton." I heard typing before the woman started talking about.
"An ambulance is on its way, it should be about 5-10 minutes before it arrives.
I pressed the end button and crouched down next to Jessie, facing Sarah. "The Ambulance is on its way, it'll be okay. She'll be okay she has to be. I don't what I'll do if she isn't okay."
Sarah looked at me, sympathetically. "I hope she'll be okay as well." She said, "Look I know I said that this is your fault but-"
"No," I interrupted, "it is my fault if it wasn't for me she wouldn't be like this. I just wish there was something I could do to make it up to her." I whispered.
"Get her to trust you again. She said about you talking about how you're different around her, so prove it. Prove you're different and what you did is a mistake, if you do, you won't lose her. If you don't prove to her then you most likely will lose her." I frowned.
"How can I lose her if I never really had her in the first place?" I asked.
"Please." She said, "you had her from the moment she saw you. You just didn't see it." I raised an eyebrow.
"Really? She found me that attractive?" I asked.
"Truth be told, we both did, and then you spoke and you changed our minds." Sarah said. "I'll give you a chance to be with her."
"You will despite the fact that I've been a jerk?" I asked, and she nodded.
"Yes, as long as you treat her right. If you don't and you break her heart I will hunt you down and make you wish you hadn't even considered taking creative writing in the first place." She took a step closer to me, "do I make myself clear?" She asked.
"Yes, Sarah, I understand, but I promise you, if anything happens between us, I wouldn't even thinking of hurting Jessie." I said, sighing.
Ten minutes later, the ambulance came and picked Jessie, putting her on a gurney and taking her away.
A man came up to us and said, "I will get a hold of your teacher and tell her to call her mother. Can you tell me this girls name?"
"Her name is Jessica Gerrick. Are we able to come visit her after you contact her mum?" Sarah said, the man nodded,
"Of course. Since she is a close friend to you I'm sure you will be able to see your friend in hospital as soon as you can."
"I need to tell Emi and Rachael, they'll be worried about her when they find out." Sarah sighed, "We should head back." I nodded and we headed back to the class.
By the time we were back, it was just about the end of class and everyone was aware of what happened because of the medic who came into the classroom to ask the teacher about contacting Jessie's mum since all of the teachers most likely had our parents numbers in case of emergency.
After college we decided to go to the hospital. I decided to text my mother, to tell her that I'd be home later than usual. Like always she didn't reply.
When we got to the hospital, we went straight to Jessie's room after asking where she was. Sarah let me go in first; I opened the door and saw her lying there, sleeping. I sat down next to her and whispered,
"I'm so sorry Jessie, this is all my fault." I looked down and took her hand in mine, kissing it.
All of a sudden her hand squeezed mine and she slowly opened her eyes, smiling at me weakly, "It's not your fault Trystan, everything that happened yesterday and today to do with us happened all of a sudden and I couldn't cope. I'm so glad you're here, we need to talk." I smiled slightly at her.
"Yeah." I said, "We do."
A/N: I hope you enjoyed, completely in Trystan's POV and it's different but since what happened to Jessie, it made sense. Though I definitely like the ending. If you did enjoy, then please leave a comment or vote for this chapter. Thank you guys and I'll see you guys in the next chapter.
