Chapter 15 Under the Mistletoe

A/n: hope you enjoy and sorry if this is late and isn't out in time for Christmas I have not had time to write so far cause I have to study. Also i was trying to write the previous chapter. Anyway I'm making this extra fluffy cause I miss writing fluff and I got told once I was like the j.k Rowling of fluff and I was so touched so yeah and enjoy! It's called "under the mistletoe" what more can you expect? Also it's fluff but it's also a bit angsty so yeah.

It was the last day before the end of term, before Christmas, and I was beyond excited. I was like a little kid when it came to Christmas time. I even still "believed" in Santa clause. Why you ask? Because it helped Christmas be that extra bit special and magical than it already was.

Now remember the most important part in this part of the story is what happened at a Christmas party I went to. Now it wasn't anyone I knew in particular but it was just a genuine party. It wasn't the party that is important it's what happened at the party that is important in this part of the story.

Like I said before it was the day before the finally day of college for the term, therefore my last creative writing class for that year, and boy did 2015 go quickly and slowly.

I walked into class and sat down. I was dressed differently that day, hardly any makeup — not that I wear a lot anyway but still — and my hair tied up, for the first time in what felt like years, I was wearing glasses. Apparently I needed them again after being told I didn't need them after years of wearing them.

I saw Trystan walk in and I picked up the book I had next to my things, if he didn't know he would think I was new. I started smirking as I read the book in my hand. He clearly didn't have any idea that it was me.

Trystan looked over at Sarah, "who's the new girl?" He asked, "and why is she in Jessie's seat?" He was acting like 1. I didn't exist and 2. Like when he first Sarah and I. I rolled my eyes, "typical," I muttered, "you don't even recognise someone that you've known for months when they suddenly change what they look like." He looked taken aback, as I settled the book down, turned to him, and put my glasses on the bridge of my nose.

"Wait, Jessie?" He asked.

"Really?" I asked him, "really just because I have glasses on and hardly any makeup along with my hair being up you didn't recognise me? Seriously?!"

"You look completely different." Was all he said.

"I basically have no make up on." I said, as if it was obvious, I sighed. "And I have to wear glasses." I mumbled, "woopte doo, I feel like I'm at school again." I chuckled.

"You used to wear glasses?" He asked, I nodded, "you look... Hot." My eyes widened at his compliment before I blushed.

"Um... Thanks? I guess." I shook my head, "though I don't think I do I didn't have time to put on a lot of makeup, and I couldn't be bothered to do my hair so I tied it up. I basically look a mess." I said.

"No. You don't. You look natural." He said, before he then scratched behind his ear, "so are you going to the Christmas party?" He asked.

"Yeah I am. Why?" I asked, "are you finally going to ask me what wanted to ask me at the Bon Fire?" I asked, my eyes widening again while also grinning.

"Maybe." He said, "do you want to go together?"

"Maybe." I replied, still grinning at him. "This isn't you asking me out on a date is it? Cause a party is not somewhere you go on a-" I started but he cut me off, shaking his head.

"No not a date, just as friends?" He suggested. That's when I suddenly realised I felt disappointed. I wanted us to go together as his date, I knew we liked each other, but I thought he was going to ask me out. I really wanted him to. But I smiled anyway at the suggestion.

"Okay, we can go together. Just as friends." I confirmed, before class started and we concentrated on what we needed to do for class.

**

I got ready at my house on the day of the party. I straightened my hair and put on more makeup than usual not a lot more but I also put on eyeliner, which I finally learned to do, which was the extra part and that was it.

It was around 7:30 and Trystan told me that he would pick me up at 8:00, so I sat down on my couch and waited for him to arrive.

By the time he picked me up he was 15 minutes early, meaning it was 7:45.

I walked over the door and opened it. I saw him standing there in a blue suit, I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out.

Trystan smiled as he saw me, "wow," was all he said as he admired what I was wearing. I wore a checked shirt and leather leggings. I smiled back at him,

"You're lucky my parents aren't in," I muttered, "they'd kill you for looking at me like..." I started but cut myself off and bit my lip, saying instead, "it's a Christmas party it's not like I had to wear a dress."

He looked at me suspiciously, but brushed it off, "yeah, you can wear anything as long as it's appropriate." I laughed.

"Even things that are inappropriate will be worn." I said.

"Most likely, so do you wanna go?" I nodded.

"How are we getting there?" I asked, only looking at him before he cleared his throat and I realised a car was waiting for us.

"My mum, I'd order a limo, but I think that's too formal and too much like going to a prom, so yeah."

"It's a shame this isn't America cause we could have gone ourselves." I joked.

He chuckled and we walked to the car, before Trystan introduced me to his mum and we went to the party.

**

When we finally arrived, we got out of the car and walked up to the door of where the party is being held. I rung the door bell and somebody random came and opened the door, letting us in.

Christmas songs were playing and my favourite song "wish it could be Christmas everyday" came on next and I went to go get Sarah, suddenly leaving Trystan. When I found her we started dancing and singing to the song.

Half way through the song Sarah looked over to see Trystan near the staircase. "Go talk to him," she said. I looked over to where she was looking and saw him too.

I sighed. "I did just leave him, I feel really bad." I nodded, "alright I'll go see him." I said before I walked over to him. "You want to go get a drink?" I offered.

"Sure, for a second I thought you ditched me," he said,

"Not a date remember," I said, "it's a party, sorry. Let's go get a drink." I smiled lightly at him and we went to the kitchen to get some drinks.

As we finally got the drinks, and I took a couple of gulps of my drink, I realised that above where we were standing, there was mistletoe. I bit my lip and looked at Trystan. "Guess we're under the mistletoe." I mumbled. He looked up and smiled,

"Looks like we are." He replied.

Then he went to kiss me gently and I decided to grab his collar and kiss him passionately, more than I had ever done before. The kiss lasted around 2 to 3 minutes. When I pulled away I sighed and was out of breath, I started blushing, and bit my lip. "I'm sorry, I just all of a sudden got this confidence, and I kinda wanted to try that kind of kiss I guess." I started blushing harder.

He smiled cheekily and stroked my cheek, "I like when you kiss like that, it's hot, like you." His cheeky smile turned into a smirked and I playfully pushed him.

I shook my head, before he pulled me in for another kiss. I sighed in between the kiss, the kiss was deep.

"Your kiss is like a drug." He muttered, "I'm addicted." I smiled at him.

"So will you tell me what you were going to say before I left the party that night?" I asked gently.

"Yeah... I was going to ask if you wanted to go out, you know, on a date." He said.

"I know we like each other, and we've admitted it, but considering you're the 'bad boy' won't you want to keep up your reputation?" I asked.

"It's only one date Jessie. It's not like I'm asking you to be my girlfriend." He said, harshly. I swallowed, and looked away, that hurt.

I rolled my eyes, "I was trying to be nice but if you want to be a jerk about it fine!" I said. I looked at him again. "I guess I'll go on one date with you, but if you keep up what you just said to me whatever this is between us, is over, okay?" I asked. He nodded.

"So when do you want to go on the date?"

I thought for a moment. "New Years Eve?" I suggested, smiling at him trying to forget about what he said before. "We could go to a local pub to celebrate New Years." I said. "I mean we don't have to, but I usually do it with my family every year anyway."

"Sure, we can go on the date say 8 o'clock and then we'll go to that pub together with your family to celebrate New Years." He confirmed.

**
After a couple of hours the party started to calm down and Trystan's mum came to pick us up from the party.

"I'll see you on New Year's Eve?" I asked.

"Yeah." He said, I smiled before I started getting out of the car once we arrived at my house. Trystan caught my wrist as I did so, I turned to him.

"What is it Trystan?" I asked.

"I'm sorry for snapping at you, Jessie. I didn't mean it." He said, I shrugged it off as it was nothing.

"It's alright, don't worry about it." I said, getting out of his grip before I got out of the car and walked up my drive and to the door of my house.

Once I entered my house, I ran up to my room, both excited about my date and upset at the fact that he implied that he didn't want me to be his girlfriend.

A/n: hope you enjoyed! If you did, vote, comment and favourite and I'll see you in the next chapter which may or may not come out in time for new year, kinda like this chapter! Bye guys! Let's just say you might see a glimpse of the old Trystan when he first met Jessie in chapters to come. And obviously you did see a glance of it in this chapter. Also the Christmas party thing it was just someone there who was holding it and basically most people were invited.

P.s. Please if you like it do comment, favourite and vote it would mean a lot to me. Thanks guys.
