{SLIGHT GORE WARNING}

Y/N's POV

I was munching down on my F/F with my fellow trainers when suddenly Professor Oak came into room.

"Hey, professor! Want to come sit with us?" Misty asked, waving at him.
"No thank you, Misty. I need to tell you all something," Oak replied, getting something out of his bag.

It was a picture of a Pokémon, I'm guessing. One I hadn't seen before.

"Is that... Mimikyu?" I heard a trainer say.
"Indeed it is. A rare Pokémon that tries to get friends by disguising itself as Pikachu," he explained.

"But professor.. what's it's true form?" I asked. Oak sighed. "That is not known, unfortunately. Some trainers had claimed to see it and said how violent and scary it is," he straightened his collar "I recommend you all stay away from it if you find it."

I gulped. Was there really a Pokémon THAT scary out there?

**Outside**

I looked at P/N, who was next to me. "What do you think, P/N? Is Oak exaggerating or not?"

It shrugged. I didn't want to take any chances of seeing that fright but I at the same time wanted to see it.

Is there a such thing as something so scary it can kill you?

Welp, time to find out.

**In the forest**

I never liked going in the forest, there was so much wild Pokémon that wanted to battle you. Over the course of the years I managed to avoid most of them.

On my journey there I battled a Pidgey (who fled) and a Woobat, which I caught. I already had like 5 but I got it anyway.

I was improving, last time I fought 4.

I stood on a tall rock with P/N dancing around me. Beams of light were shining through the trees, the rest of the place being pitch black.

I couldn't see any sign of that Pokémon, whatever it was called again. Mimic something.

"D'ya see anything P/N?" I asked. It shook its head.

Hmm. Weird, we've gone far it should be about. I looked around some more, when suddenly something yellow caught my attention.

There was two glowing eyes (I think) coming from the bush. It must have been a short Pokémon.

"Ugh.. do I have to fight now? I'm trying to find a rare Pokémon here!" I groaned. Suddenly a purple hand came out of the bush.

"Whaaat-" I said, confused. Then another came. There were massive, considering how short the eyes were-

Suddenly I saw it. The Pokémon.

It was there, the same one the professor had shown. P/N cowered behind me, as I stepped out, a pokéball in my hand.

"Oh.. I..It's you! Mimic-something wasn't it?" I asked. What an idiot I am, why did I think that would help?

It was kind of scary as it was, the outfit being bad. It was even more scary seeing it in person.

The glowing eyes weren't actually coming from the eyes, they were coming from the stomach, which was weird.

Pokémon are weird, what am I on about?

It's purple hands went back under the disguise, it's eyes went back to normal, and it stood there like nothing ever happened.

I stared at it for a while, before making a move. I need to try unmask it.

"Heeyyyy there, buddy! Erm.. w..what's your name again?" I'm forgetful at the worst times, huh? Typical-

It just stared at me. I moved closer, P/N staying on the rock and watching me nervously.

I reached my hand out, stepped closer, and reached for the head— why was it not doing any-

"OUCH!"

I yelled, after it clawed me. I heard it give a hiss and it got its claws out. I stepped back, blood leaking down my hand. It hurt a lot.

This Pokémon was powerful, jeez! P/A move closer to it, attempting to do an attack.

No! We needed that!

I jumped at it the last second, it's power blasting into the tree, almost knocking it down.
(If it's close range attacks it just simply failed)
"P/A! Haven't you forgotten? We need that thing!" I yelled.

I turned around, and saw that it was gone.

"What- I- how??" I asked myself. I had grazed my knees after that tackle too, streaks of small blood coming out.

"Now it's fled! Ugh, whatever, we'll have to find it again. For now let's go to the infirmary." I said, picking P/N up in my arms and heading my way back.
