Terrance's Point Of View

My mother woke me up Wednesday morning and cooked me some eggs for breakfast. I stretched and then reached around for my cane.

"Honey your eggs are almost ready." My mother yelled at me from the kitchen.

"Ok, mom. I'm almost there." I yelled back. I then tried to stumble out of my room and into the kitchen.

I sat down at the table and reached around for my coffee. My mother always gives me a cup every morning. But, I couldn't find any, she probably forgot. When Jenny was done making my scrambled eggs, she sat down next to me and handed me my plate. I scooted it closer to me and then began to eat.

"Ready for your big date?" She asked me.

"Yes," I said while shoving little bits of egg in my mouth.

"What are you going to wear?" She asked me and then took out some bacon from the oven.

"A sweater and Jeans. I guess." I told her.

"Sweaty, No! That's what lazy dads wear!" She smirked. "I'll get your tuxedo and ill do your hair." She continued. She then put some bacon on my plate.

"Thanks, mom," I told her and then started to eat my bacon.

I haven't heard my mother talk about a "dad". Ever since I was four years old. I can't remember much about him. But, there was one memory I would never forget. Me and my father when we went to the Carnival when I was four years old. My father handed me a fluffy pink thing. Some may say it was a cloud. But, I could hold it, and you can't hold clouds. Whatever it was the best thing my father ever got me.

After we ate Jenny handed me a tuxedo and I stumbled to my room to change.

"You all most done? I still have to do your hair. I don't want to be late for work." She yelled at me.

"Yes, coming," I yelled back.

I grabbed my cane and went to my mother. She grabbed my arm and sat me down in a chair. She then put some gooey stuff in my hair and took a spiky thing and put it back and forth in my hair. She then sprays some stuff that doesn't smell too good.

"I'm done. You look handsome! Let's go now." She said then grabbed her keys.

She then grabbed my arm and lead me to her car. She helped me get in and buckle up.

A Couple of minutes later,

"Honey we are here." She said while stopping the car. She unbuckled me and I stumbled out of the car. Out of nowhere, I heard Kate's voice.

"Terrance you made it!" She told her help, and then she started to hug me. Mother then drove off, and she said bye and, I said bye back.

Kate then took me somewhere. She made me sit down. I sniffed around and found out she had wine, strawberries, and chocolate sauce. She told me to open my mouth and I did just that. She plopped a big strawberry in my mouth. It was soooo good! I reached around for another one, I grabbed a little one and put it in my mouth.

Then I want in for a kiss from Kate. I leaned in and pressed my lips against hers. Her lips tasted like cocoa butter, they were so good! We kissed for a while... But then she STOPPED! Why?!? She said she had a question for me. She said she started talking to a doctor and how he can make me see her again.

It was all just too much to take in I had to leave. I wasn't ready for such a big change. She then told me that I could talk to her about it on Friday. And that was fine by me. She then left me.... And I left her. I went home and took a long nap.

This chapter is about how Terrance prepared for the date and how Kate broke the news about the doctors.
