Terrance Point Of View

On Tuesday, I slept all day until I heard Jenny come home. She brought some pizza and a coffee.

"How your day been, dear?" Mother asked me while grabbing a plate for the pizza.

"I just woke up," I said while reaching around for a slice of pizza.

"Terry, it's lunchtime! You can't just sleep all day!" She smirked.

"It's not like I can look at a clock and see what time it is." I frowned and then took a bit of my pizza.

"I know that I'm so sorry Terry. Oh, I almost forgot! I have to work very early tomorrow and I willn't be home till late at night Terry." She said.

"It's ok, I have a date anyway tomorrow," I said while sipping my coffee.

"A date? With Whom? Where? What are you going to wear?" She asked.

"Calm down. It's just a picnic date at the park." I told her.

"Oooo sounds so romantic. Who's the lucky lady?" She asked me.

"Her name is Kate Cessalee. I was walking, and it started to rain, and she brought me out of the rain. She's so sweet!" I said.

"Well, this Kate girl sounds like a keeper. Should I drop you off in the morning at the park?" She said while finishing her first slice of pizza and then grabbed another.

"Sure mom," I said while finishing my coffee.

I couldn't wait for tomorrow. It was killing me not hearing her sweet voice!
