Kates Point of View

After work, I couldn't stop thinking about Terrance and how he could see the world through touch. I couldn't think of living without my eyes, even if I tried. I hate knowing that a handsome man like Terrance has never seen his next day. I had to do something.

I opened my laptop and started to do some basic research about blind people. Nothing much came up. But then, I saw an ad for a Cataract Surgery discount. I clicked on it and started to read it, Doctor Anthony Roger, is an ophthalmologist doctor he specialized in the eye. He is having a discount of $50 per person for Cataract Surgery. This discount lasted till the end of this month.

I looked to see if there was a phone number, and at the bottom of the screen, there was a profile for Dr. Anthony Rogers. In the profile, it had lots of information about him, and then at the very bottom of the screen, it showed his phone number. The number was (816) 457-7426.

I then grabbed my phone and dialed the number. It ranged but within twenty minutes someone eventually picked up. This was the conversation:

"Hello, Dr. Rogers here. How may I help you?" Rogers said when he picked up.

"Hello, Anthony Rogers. I'm Kate Cessalee, I would like to set up an appointment for Cataract Surgery." I said.

"Hello, Kate. When are you free?" He asked me.

"Oh, the appointment isn't for me, It's for Terrance Bunny. He's blind." I replied and then grabbed a notepad out.

"Terrance Bunny, right? When would you and Terrance like to have the appointment?" He asked me.

"Um. In a week, please. Can you call me back at the end of this week?" I asked him.

"Sure, I'll check up with you and Terrance in one week. Have a nice day Kate. Bye." He said and then hanged up.

I grabbed my notepad again and wrote, Appointment in a week with Dr. Rogers. Cataract Surgery for Terrance.

I couldn't wait to tell Terrance at the picnic date on Wednesday!

This chapter explains how Kate tries to help Terrance by getting a doctor to help him get his vision back.
