Night Visitor
Tried to capture something of that irrational-rational surreality of dreams. Not sure if it worked. Feel free to unpluck, at will.
I dreamt of you
all night, all night.
All night - truth-taste-testing,
thought-tendrils hyphae*-probing
soft membranes of cellular assumptions,
punch-pushing
through
tough, woody walls of hidebound speculation -
sub-unsub-stant-diddly-ated things
of which I dreamed.
Fungal-fingered sticky self-projections,
Psycho-Reactive-slimed*
caused
yawning-birthing-portaling distortions of the mind.
Did I find
Cavernous Truth
or did It find me
where morphing untrue-truths
hulk-lurking yearn
to go ghost hunting through
and Vigo*-rule - eternally?
What did I see?
So frantic assessing, dissecting, reflecting, oh, interjecting
till emanations firm-formed stalks, bulb-budded
bU R St ...
and spores
seed-streamed
on solar-lunar-tic
sea-winds
round my head.
Halo-heralded Dawntide.
I slipped free
then,
seal-wet, exhausted
from dream-truth-stream; truth-dreams
cat-cradled in calloused hands -
winged seeds
that rose as hummingbirds -
left -
moist-nosing
for
the light.
