Hold on to me

" You still don't believe I'm not here right?" Peter asks for a fourth time in the last half an hour.

" Peter a hallucination can't and won't keep continuing after... A self unaliving session, Yellow doesn't think your fake anymore, and I totally couldn't have made up that whole scene back there when that dude walked into you." Wade says with a smile.

" Wade that wasn't funny." Peter says as he glances over his shoulder towards where the man had curled over and died of fright. " It's not my fault they can't see me." Peter mumbles as he pulls his jacket tighter around himself. He hates winter.

Wade pulls Peter close up against him as they walk along. Fury had demanded a meeting the following morning after Wade claimed Peter was there with him. Minor details of possible hallucination being considered but yet cast aside. No one was stupid enough to think Deadpool would joke any when speaking of his Spider.

" Course it wasn't." Wade says unable to conceal his smile as he hides behind Peter instead.

Peter doesn't respond as they continue to walk towards Stark tower. Being neither owned a car-

( And Peter won't let us borrow one.)

- They had to take the metro half way before walking the rest. They where only a few blocks away now, but in the cold of winter that's a long walk for someone whom doesn't have a healing factor that runs their body temperature higher then normal.

Peter slows down slightly in his walking to tuck himself closer to Wade, influencing the the other to warp his arm around him.

" How can you possible wear that in this weather?" Peter asks looking at the simple single layer of red and black leather.

Wade shrugs. " It's really not that bad out. 'S pretty nice out. "

" Nice out? It's like in the teens." Peter shivers.

" I'm Canadian. Used to the cold."

" You and your Canadian crap. You're all morons if you think you can go outside dressed for a warm fall day when it's that cold. Going outside without warm cloths on." Peter grumbles.

" But I know you love me even so." Wade coos.

Peter gives a small smile as he shivers. " I do." He says, pressing his cheek against Wade's warmth.

Wade's heart warms. He had missed this. The small banters, random conversations, continuous reminders of love and dedication. Things he had only had with Peter. Things he'd only ever truly wanted.

All the wrong doings he continuously did, his reputation, persona, and morality had all instantly changed with a simple three word sentence. That's all it had taken to stop a rampage caused by the final thing the man had been allowed to love was taken away.

Ellie had been taken from him. He had been forced to watch someone kill his daughter. Watch as that light of life left her beautiful brown eyes. He was far too late when he'd finally gotten to his child. Her small form limp when Deadpool cradled his lifeless child. She had only been eight... She had so much ahead of her. She was smart, a quick learner, beautiful and scarless. She had been so curious of the world and her rarely scene father. She had loved him despite his absence for the world Haden't yet wronged her. She had been the most perfect thing he'd ever seen and she had been his little girl. She was far more perfect then Vanessa or Peter could ever be...

He was so angry when that pure soul had left the world so premature. So angry that his only good creation had been ripped away from him, that he couldn't trade spots with her.

He couldn't remember what had happened after he finally set her down. He only remembered slowly looking back at the persons that had dared stay and watch the scene of the father mourn before everything just went red. All he could remember was red and screaming. He couldn't remember if it was his or his victims. Probably both.

Wade had wanted to watch Ellie grow up. He wanted to be able to meet her Boyfriend, to be able to scare them, make sure they treated his little girl right. He wouldn't make her life difficult by hovering over her as Deadpool when she grew older. He wanted to watch as she grew up and see if she desired to settle to get married. Wondered if she'd ever want her dad to walk her down the isle to the person he would be handing her hand to. If she would have children just as beautiful as herself. All of her future had been ripped away by the painful stamp of a claw.... All he as seen was red. Anger, blood and fire.

And then through of all the red was a face he'd always imagined but never scene. Somehow the arachnid had been able to stop the crazed Merc with a simple confession.

" Wade?" Peter asks looking up at the blank white eyes of the mask his partner wore. Wade had stopped walking and his warm arm had fallen from Peter's shoulder to stiffly remain at the man's side.
