"I very well know that you are not interested in this marriage. I know that you don't believe in the constitution of marriage. So do I. But I want to give this a chance. You might think why  I chose you. I myself don't know. One thing I know is that we can make this work out. I promise you that I will give you enough space and will stand beside you throughout. And yeah, take your time! Am waiting to be yours, Mira. Trust me."

I bet, no man speaks these words on his supposed to be first night. I froze when Ishaan said this to me with his eyes boring into mine. I didn't expect this from him. Definitely not.

Have I envisaged a wrong version of Ishaan? Probably, he is not the Ishaan I thought him to be. Did I misunderstand? Did I?

A wave of ambivalence spread across my tired self as I felt extremely puzzled. May be, I should give this relationship a chance. I should help him to make this work. Yes! We can make this work. Obviously, the path won't be a blissful one. But we should face everything. It's really ironical that within a fraction of second, am being pulled towards his honesty.

I will definitely give this a chance. I will.

I jerked when he slumped on the bed beside me.

"Don't think that I will sleep on the couch like a gentleman. We shall learn to adjust and respect each other's feelings from today. Are you comfortable?"

I nodded. I am so much amazed with this change of his. I mean, where's the naughty Ishaan, who used to smirk at me and wink at me often. This Ishaan is so damn mature!

I closed my eyes. It felt heaven after such a tiring day. I was about to surrender in the arms of sleep when I heard a soft snore.

I turned and saw my man snoring peacefully.  A small smile crept over my lips instead of a frown.

I know that this relationship is gonna be beautiful.

Ana looked lost as she sat beside me on the bed with a thud. She looked confused. She slowly held my hand and I felt a drop of water on my palm.
Rahyl's words kept ringing in my mind.

           Few hours ago...

"So, finally... Everything is settled in your personal life. Am so happy for you man!" Rahyl said as he smacked my shoulder and pulled me into a hug.

The wedding is over and Ishaan and Mira are officially married. Our family is complete now. I felt so happy and relaxed. If Dad has been there with us today, it would have been even more beautiful.

The guests have left. It was just us and Rahyl in our home, having some fun offscreen friendship moments. It's been a long time since we did this.

Rahyl is my friend from my diaper days till now and he knows me more than myself. He knew the kind of relationship that I shared with Ana in the beginning, tiff with Ishaan and he has supported me throughout.

"Oh ho! Seems like the director-actor duo is bromancing!"

Ana pulled us away from our hug.

"Rahyl.. Seems like something is burning.. Could you smell it?" I retorted while hugging Rahyl again.

Ana's eyes shining with mischief, faded away. She tried hard to maintain her cool. Lol.

Seeing her in that avatar is so fun! I bit my cheeks to suppress my laughter.

"Annie!!!"

A loud shrill made me frown.

Who else could that be? Ishaan the devil emerged from the back of Annie as he smiled mischievously at her. Gah, gah. That brother-sister duo will ruin my peace now.

Wait! Ana hasn't spoke to that devil yet. I smiled widely.

Ana looked at Ish with a blank expression. He continued.

"I told you that somethings aren't straight. Haven't I, sis- in- law?" He said to her loudly, gesturing her through his eyes.

Now, what the hell does he mean? When he has his own love life, why the heck he always messes up my love life? Grr.

Rahyl burst into peals of laughter hearing that. I looked at him, puzzled.
Then, I sensed that not only me, Ana is also puzzled. I took a sigh of relief.

I gave a "Please leave me this time" look to that devil brother of mine. He smirked at me which clearly indicated I am gonna be dead in a while.

"Annie... Some things aren't STRAIGHT.. We can say that someone too." As Ishaan said these, I heard a loud laughter which is obviously from my wife.

I glared at Ishaan. Rahyl, Ishaan and Ana gave hi-five to to each other as they continued to laugh.

This devil never fails to pull my leg. How dare ana can laugh at this? She definitely knows how straight I am.

"Ana.. Come with me.. I will show you how straight someone is." I said intensely as I walked towards her and held her hand.

She gasped and looked me, gulping down. She lowed her eyes and she looked flushed. I smiled wickedly at her. "Ahem, ahem" Rahyl and Ishaan chorused.

"Stupid Devil! It happened all because of you!!" Ana screeched in his ears.

"Women, I say.. You guys are the sole reason for noise pollution." Ishaan said, rubbing his ears. "

" Oh really? First save yourself, then you can save the environment. "She said calmly.

" Wha.. " Before Ishaan could finish, a hand twisted his ears.

" Aaaaahhhh... Miraaa.. What the fudge man.. And why the hell you both are targeting my ears? Damn. " Ishaan yelled at Mira and Ana, who looked unaffected.

"Woah. Seems like the bro-sis duo has patched up." I said.

"Yo bro.. Why are you stirring the already cooked stew?" Ish murmured in my ears.

" I learnt that from you bro. I need to implement that." I murmured back.

" Enough of murmuring. This is the last time Ishaan. Dare you play pranks on my hubby and make him cry, you'll see the worst day of your life." Ana warned him.

I smiled at Ana. She smiled in return, blinking her eyes.

"Gawdddddd!!!" Ishaan hit his head with his palm as he shouted.

I chuckled."Gosh. My tummy is aching. Ish, you're too funny. You should definitely play the role of a comedian in my film. You'll gain huge fans Ish." Rahyl said.

"Comedy?!! Laugh baby, laugh. You are in your last days of your laughter filled life. You'll know when you will get married." Ishaan said frowning at him.

"Anyways.. Haven't you guys finalised the cast yet?" He asked Rahyl.

"Yeah.. Everything is set except for the heroine. The heroines whom we auditioned weren't suitable for that role. Hoping that we get our lead actress soon." Rahyl said.

He's right. This film is pretty different from the last film he directed and the last film, which I acted. The heroine has pretty much to do here other than romance and dancing for songs. That's the reason, the shooting has been withheld for a month from today. And that's the reason I will be on an off for a month. It is good in a way, but poor Rahyl.. He's been working harder. I just hope he gets recognised for this film as well. And the thing is that Ana doesn't know about this short holiday of mine. I wanted to surprise her. I know that she will be thrilled to hear this. I smiled at the thought.

"Hey wait a second! Shit. When we already have a suitable girl, we have been searching for the best all around." Rahyl said excitedly.

"Who?" Ishaan and I asked at the same time.

"Mrs. Ananya Harsha." He said calmly as he looked at her.

"Annie??!!!" Ishaan yelled loud.

"Ana?!" I uttered, shocked.

"Why not, Anu sis?" Mira said smiling as she blew out a flying kiss to Ana. Mira gave a deep look to me and Ishaan.

"Exactly. Why not, Ananya?" Rahyl said determinedly.
