[Longfic] More Everyday | Yulsic | Chap 10

Chapter 10

Jessica's POV

"Sica baby, I love you," she told me as she hugged me from behind. We were both still lying on the bed, neither one of us wanting to let go of each other.

I turned around so that I was facing her. Her eyes fluttered open as she felt me roll in her arms. "More than Yoona?" I asked Yuri.

"Yes."

I needed more than that to be satisfied. "More than SooYoung?"

"Of course, silly. Did you need to ask that?" She replied while patting me on my head. I smiled at her response and enjoyed her light touches on my head. But suddenly, her patting seemed to have gotten violent. Yuri's soft patting turned into poking, and eventually into shoving.

"Hello??? Earth to Jessica Jung! We're here!" I opened my eyes and saw Tiffany staring at me. It was all just a dream. Still slightly drowsy, I looked around my surroundings. Instead of lying in Yuri's arm on a nice soft bed, I was sitting in the cramped van with four other girls.

I rubbed my head at where Tiffany must have been poking me to wake me up. "Tiff, you didn't have to hit my head so hard," I said rather bluntly, upset that she had woken me up from the sweet dream that I was having of Yuri and me.

Tiffany looked at me in awe, eyes wide open and head sticking out. "You didn't wake up when I called your name. Nor when I tapped you, shook you, pulled you, and screamed at you." Tiffany was counting on her fingers as she was listing all the ways that she used to wake me up.

"What's wrong with you today anyway? You were practically sleeping every minute of the day! Didn't sleep well last night?"

I got out of the van to catch up with the other girls. "You could say that." Tiffany held onto my arm and from the twinkle in her eyes, I knew 'Gossip Tiffany' was starting to take over her body.

"Who was snoring last night in that room? Oh! I know. Yuri took all the blankets." I always thought all girls had this natural sixth sense, but after listening to some more of Tiffany's wild guesses, I concluded that hers must be defected.

"Tiff, nobody snores, and I was very warm last night." I was more than warm last night. I felt hot all over every time Yuri touched me.

"Does Yuri talk in her sleep?" the gossipy mushroom continued asking.

I was about to answer when Yuri walked back for Tiffany and me. "Who talks in their sleep?" Yuri asked.

"Yuree, were you eavesdropping?" Tiffany demanded.

"Not at all. You were just talking really loud." Seeing Tiffany's face change colors, Yuri held onto her hand, patting it. "I was just teasing you. You guys were walking really slow so I came back to tell you that Taengoo doesn't need us to help her with the cooking tonight. So what should we do in the meantime?"

Tiffany released my arm. "I want to help with the cooking. I think you two should go to the bookstore. Didn't you say you want to buy some books to learn English, Yuree?"

"Uhh... yeah, I guess." Before running off to Taeyeon, Tiffany gave us both a wink. Yuri closed the gap that Tiffany's departure left between us.

"You want to learn English? Since when?" I asked.

There was so little that I know about Yuri. It made me jealous at times when the other girls spoke about her. Like the time when Sunny bought Yuri a Mickey Mouse cap as a birthday present. I always thought she just liked mouse-like rodents, so for Yuri's birthday, I bought her a hamster. I thought it was a cool gift and definitely better than the hat, but the other girls obviously didn't think the same way judging by their screaming and shrieking. And after that time when the hamster escaped from its cage, I had to return it back to the pet store.

"Since now I guess. It's always better to learn a new language isn't it? Especially since we travel to different countries to perform."

"Ok. I need to get a book too. Do you want to go now?" Okay, I know this doesn't count as asking her out on a date, but the nervousness that I felt when asking her and the anticipation of her answer sure made it seem like I was asking her to go out with me.

"Sure! Lead the way." I was both relieved and happy to hear her answer.

Yuri crossed her arm with mine and asked, "What's the name of the bookstore?"

"Prologue."

---

I watched Yuri as she called SooYoung. We were sitting in the park resting as she made her call. When Yuri told me that she had something important to tell SooYoung, I just wanted to go straight to the bookstore. But a part of me was curious to know about their conversation. Luckily I didn't have to make any excuses since Yuri asked me to stay with her, saying how it'll be a quick call and how we shouldn't be talking on the phone when we're in a bookstore.

"Did you get the apple?" Yuri looked at me nervously while asking SooYoung about apples.

"It's the last apple. You know, the last apple from the fruit store? The one where we like to get our fruits from?" She covered the mouthpiece and hissed some words into the phone before hanging up.

Turning back to me, she smiled and said, "Taeyeon said that she was going to be making apple sauce and that it's very important that we get this apple. Hehe..."

"Ok. Let's go now." I was about to walk towards Prologue when Yuri pulled my hand. I looked down at her, who took a seat on one of the park benches. "You don't want to go?"

She pulled me to sit down with her. "Oh, I thought that since we're already at the park, we should sit and enjoy the evening air. We're always so busy that we never take the time to enjoy the little things."

We were both sitting in the quiet park, not knowing what to say to one another. The birds chirped a tune to match the scenery. I watched as squirrels were busy gathering acorns for their dinner. This truly was a break from our hectic schedules. I never noticed the magic of this park even though we drive by it everyday.

I finally broke the silence by asking Yuri if she enjoyed working with the guys from Super Junior on the new CF.

"Yeah, they're all really nice to me and they're fun to be around with."

"So, umm... do you like any of them?" I tried to slip in.

Yuri was surprised by my question and answered cautiously. "No... well, at least not in that way."

"Why not?"

"Haha! Well, they're like brothers to me."

This is my chance. To find out what her type is. "So, umm... what kind of guys are you interested in then?"

As she thought about it, she took my right hand from my lap and started to massage it. "Somebody who is sensitive and understanding..." Sensitive? I'm pretty sensitive whenever you're with Yoona or SooYoung. And I understand that you're irresistible to them. So yes, sensitive and understanding I am. "...who likes sports like me..." I used to play soccer and did a bit of boxing. I also like watching soccer. "...and of course good looks." I'm GorJess.

I was feeling high from all the qualities that she looks for, until she went on to describe the physical attributes. "Oh! This person has to know how to change tires, and while he's doing it, show a bit of his muscular arms," she continued.

I looked down at my not so muscular arms. "Why is it important that this person knows how to change tires? And wouldn't you rather nice legs or a flat stomach instead? What if this person has extremely muscular arms but looks like as if he's 3 months pregnant?"

Although I was saying this with all seriousness, Yuri started to laugh. "I would like to know that I can depend on this person. And I wouldn't want to be stranded in the country side if we suddenly have a flat tire. As for nice legs, I--" Yuri's cell phone started to ring before she was able to tell me what she thought about legs.

I peeked at the caller ID. SooYoung. It's just apples for goodness sake! Does she really need to be calling for more guidance?

"Ok, thanks!" Yuri said before hanging up. "Let's go to the bookstore now before it gets too late, Sica."

She pulled me up with the hand that was already in mine and we made our way towards Prologue.

But Yuri ah, nice legs! What about them?? Tell me!
