"WHY DON'T WE JUST TAKE OUT THE BODYGUARDS AND STORM INSIDE?" Vigilante questioned after a moment, finally asking something that had to do with the mission.

"The bodyguards are probably just innocents hired to protect them," Harcourt told him as she chewed through her trail mix.

"Right, okay? Is that the answer?" he asked, not believing her.

"Yes," Jada seethed, getting impatient with him.

"Shit," Harcourt said, getting up once she saw that the family had shown up again. "The Berenstain Bears are in the dining room," she said into the radio.

Jada quickly got up, looking through her scope to watch the family get together in the dining room. She then felt a presence over her shoulder and glanced over to see that it was Vigilante. She scowled and shoved him away using her elbow, causing him to groan.

"Copy that. I don't have eyes," Economos replied.

"Peacemaker, do you have a shot on Papa Bear?" Murn asked.

"Not quite yet," Smith answered slowly, trying to find Goff. "What the fuck?" he whispered once he saw the mother pouring some weird, gold liquid into bowls.

"They're pouring some sort of honey-colored goo into bowls," Harcourt informed Murn.

"They're butterflies," Murn immediately told them.

"How do you know?" she asked, but she didn't receive a response right away.

Jada watched as the family all sat down at the table and looked down at their bowls before tongue-like things came out of their mouths to eat whatever that goo was. "Holy shit," she whispered, her eyes widening in shock and disgust.

"What the fuck?" Smith repeated in the same tone as Jada.

"Uh...there's some sort of purple things growing out of their mouths," Harcourt told Murn with a confused tone, not knowing what to make of the sight.

"Peacemaker, take 'em out!" Murn demanded quickly.

"Even the kids?"

"Yes! All four bears, now! If you have a shot, terminate 'em immediately!" Murn instructed loudly. Jada looked over at Smith, watching as he began to breathe heavily and his grip on the gun tightened. "Peacemaker, goddamn it, take the shot!"

"Smith, take it no—"

"Fuck, I don't know if I can hit them," Peacemaker whispered shakily, cutting Jada off.

"They're clear. Take the shot," Harcourt urged sternly, but Smith just kept on breathing heavily, making his body shake.

"You should've put a dove on the gun! Fuck!" he voiced, stalling the shot.

"Take a breath, Smith. Steady yourself," Harcourt told him calmly, making Jada give her a surprising look at the comforting tone.

Peacemaker continued to just stay there, not taking the shot. Jada kept looking back and forth between him and the family, not sure if he would actually take it or not. "Hey, dude," Vigilante spoke up, making Jada look over at him, "move over for a sec."

Peacemaker looked up at him before he fell backwards, Vigilante taking his place. He began to hum at he took the sniper in his hands, pointing it at the mother. Jada watched him curiously before she put her eyes back on the scope, watching as he shot the woman.

"Mama Bear, out," Harcourt said. Vigilante continued to hum happily as he shot the little boy. "Billy Bear, out." He then shot the daughter. "Susie Bear, out." Jada looked away from the scope, not being able to look at the dead children, even if they were butterflies. Even though she would consider herself to be ruthless at most times, she drew the line at most children.

"And now...Papa Bear, ou—" Judomaster kicked Vigilante in the face, cutting his sentence off. He then went over to Peacemaker and kicked him in the stomach before he went over to Harcourt, who drew her gun. But, he quickly flipped her over behind him.

Jada's eyes widened as she watched it happen, not being noticed by the little man yet. "KIAI!" he yelled as Harcourt regained herself, flipping over on her feet.

She went to go run for her gun, but Judomaster kicked it away and then proceeded to kick her in the face, sending her down the hill. Jada pushed herself up from the ground and ran behind him, throwing her body on top of him since she was larger than him.

But, he counterattacked by elbowing her in the stomach repeatedly, making her cough and fall off of him. Vigilante and Peacemaker went over to try and double team him, but he was able to kick their asses.

Jada rolled over onto her back, holding onto her stomach as she tried to catch her breath. She then was able to hop up and grab her gun out of her pocket...just as Vigilante jumped up to dodge the bullets that Judomaster had shot. He tumbled into her, sending the both of them down to the ground behind a log for cover, making Jada let go of her gun and lose it.

He had landed on top of her, their faces inches apart if his face wasn't covered by a mask. "I wasn't expecting to be in this position with you just yet," he commented in a weak voice.

She sneered, "Get the fuck off me." He quickly pushed off of her and lended a helping hand, which she didn't take; instead, she got herself up. She then looked over his shoulder to see Judomaster standing over Peacemaker, who was on the ground. "Fuck," she groaned.

Vigilante quickly spun around and drew out his double knives, running over towards Judomaster, who rammed into Vigilante's stomach before he punched him across the face. Vigilante tried to swing at him again before Judomaster pushed him into a tree, making his knives fall.

Jada quickly ran over and jumped up, using both of her legs to kick him towards Peacemaker, who was able to punch him in the face after being hit in the face by Judomaster's feet. Jada fell swiftly to the ground, rolling over so that Vigilante could come and attack Judomaster from behind as Peacemaker hit him from the front. But, when Peacemaker tried to stab Judomaster, he ended up dodging, which made him stab Vigilante in the arm instead.

"Oh, shit!" Peacemaker cursed as Jada got up from the ground, surveying on what to do.

"Ah, fuck, dude!" Vigilante said angrily.

Peacemaker tried to stab Judomaster again, but he ended up dodging as he kicked Vigilante in the face and grabbed Smith's arm to flip him over on his back. He then kicked Smith in the face, knocking him out.

Jada quickly ran over to the short man, dodging his punch by swerving to the side and proceeding to tackle him. She then started to punch him in the face, making Vigilante whoop behind her to hype her up. But, Judomaster was able to knee her in the stomach, which was already sore from his elbow, making her double over. She tried to regain herself and get up, but he swiftly kicked her in the face just like he did with Smith, knocking her out.

Jada woke up to the sound of something hitting a person's face, making them groan. Her eyes slowly blinked open, seeing that Judomaster was throwing Cheetos at Peacemaker's face, making him yell angrily.

Her head was throbbing, making her vision slightly blurry and her mind cloudy. So cloudy, in fact, that she thought she was imagining the bloody guy walking into the underground lair they seemed to be in. But, once her vision was starting to clear out a bit and her mind began to calm down, she realized that she was tied up to a chair and that the bloody guy was actually Goff.

She looked over at Peacemaker, who wore an unreadable expression as he watched Goff open a toolbox. She then looked over to her right and saw that Vigilante was tied up by the arms and legs, and he was still passed out.

She then watched as Goff placed electrodes right on Vigilante's crotch area, making Jada's eyes widen. "What the fuck?" Vigilante grumbled as he started to awake from his unconsciousness.

"What are you doing?" Jada whispered, but she wasn't sure if it was loud enough or not since her body was still off from being knocked out.

Goff then took keys out of his pocket and tossed it to Judomaster. "Take the tunnel to the forest. From there, get to Glan Tai, let them know what's occurred here," he instructed.

"Yes," Judomaster answered before he began to walk away. He then stopped and turned around, giving Peacemaker the middle finger before he left.

Goff then switched on the electrode generator, turning it on. "Stop," Jada said a little louder, but Goff continued to ignore her as he walked over to Vigilante.

He placed his hands on top of his mask and began to pull up on it, trying to get it off. "Wait, wait. Wait, wait, no, no, no!" Vigilante pleaded, but his mask was pulled off. As soon as it was, though, he kept making super weird facial expressions, causing Jada to furrow her brows. She recognized him from somewhere, but couldn't place her finger on it.

"What are you doing?" Smith questioned in disgust.

"If I keep changing my facial expressions, he won't be able to recognize me in a lineup!" Vigilante explained as he continued making odd expressions.

"That is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard," Jada commented, trying to catch him with a normal expression to figure out where she had seen him before.

"You need to tell me what you know, how you know it, and who sent you. Otherwise, you will know pain unlike ever before," Goff threatened, looking at all three of them.

"I'm not telling you shit!" Peacemaker said.

Goff didn't hesitate to reach over and turn on the actual electrodes, zapping Vigilante's crotch. He screamed in pain, no longer making the facial expressions, "Fuck!"

Goff then turned them off and asked, "Does that change your mind?"

"Sorry, pal, not for sale," Peacemaker told him, not letting up.

"What?" Vigilante exclaimed and Jada's eyes widened, recognizing him once his face was normal. It's that fucking busboy from Fennel Fields. What the fuck is his name? Aiden? Aaron! Fuck, what is it? she thought to herself, trying to remember.

"Give it all you got!"

"No, no, no, no!" Vigilante yelled, but Goff zapped him anyway, making him yell out in pain again.

"How do you like that?" Goff questioned.

"I like it. I like it a lot. I don't give a fuck!" Peacemakers shouted, making Jada give him a wide-eyed expression. "You're not gonna break me, motherfucker!"

"Oh, good God, no! No, no, no, no, p—Oh, fuck!" he screamed once he got zapped again.

"Stop!" Jada yelled angrily, but Goff let it go on for another few seconds before he turned it off, giving Vigilante a rest. "Why are you letting him do this? I thought you guys were friends," Jada said to Peacemaker, trying to stay calm.

"Important information over friends any day," Peacemaker answered, causing Jada to roll her eyes. She didn't understand why they couldn't just lie to Goff. "Hey..." Peacemaker said after a moment. "Aren't you Gut Chase's younger brother? The one who was playing D&D all the time?"

"Oh my, God, that's the name! Chase! Adrian Chase, I remember now!" Jada exclaimed, happy that she was able to remember. "Oh my, God, you're the fucking busboy I spoke to," she then realized once again, putting it all together. That had meant he had followed her from the restaurant.

"You remembered me?" he asked as he breathed out in pain, smiling weakly.

"Yeah, it's kinda hard to forget a socially awkward guy that said I was 'scary hot, but cool'," she replied in a cold tone, using his same words. She couldn't believe that it was the same guy.

"Wait, so you're actually the D&D guy?" Peacemaker asked, not believing it.

He nodded. "Since then, I've turned my body into an instrument of vengeance," he explained. Batman-wannabe, she thought to herself.

"Dude, that's admirable," Peacemaker admitted. "Your body's way more toned than it used to be."

"Thanks," he groaned.

"I mean, you were always wiry, but solid frame. Good foundation, I guess," Peacemaker went on.

Vigilante chuckled, "Yeah."

"Hey, hey. Don't worry, I'm not giving this guy anything," Peacemaker assured him, making Jada give him a look since that would only result to more pain for Adrian.

"Uh, maybe you could just give him a little?" Adrian suggested, wincing.

"Yeah, I don't think that's giving him any comfort," Jada added and Adrian nodded in pain.

"So, pure pain couldn't get you to talk. What about the fear of losing something more permanent, like a toe? I'll start with his pinky," Goff said, holding up a knife.

"What? My pinky? Why me again?" Adrian exclaimed.

"This one's obviously the alpha, more likely to have knowledge," Goff gestured to Smith. "And you're too pretty to kill, I would feel too bad for some reason," Goff said to Jada.

"I guess being a woman as helped me for once," she muttered under her breath, her eyes wide. She didn't know whether to feel offended by his comment, or flattered.

"And humans are, above all, creatures of empathy. The best way to get them to talk is to hurt the ones they love most," Goff continued.

"What?" Adrian shouted.

"Fuck it! Cut off all his toes, I don't care!" Smith yelled before he winked at Adrian.

"Dude, if someone doesn't have their pinky toe, they'd fall over! It's the most important toe in the human body!" Adrian explained fearfully.

"I don't think that's true," Peacemaker told him, shaking his head.

"Well, it is! I read it on the internet!" he said before he started to scream out in pain from Goff trying to rip his toe off.

"Is...is that true?" Peacemaker whispered to Jada, who watched Goff with a disgusted expression.

"The pinky toe does help with balance," she told him, making his face scrunch up.

"God!" Adrian cried out in pain. She winced as she saw the blood spurting out from the toe, not liking the noise it was making. But, she used the time to try and wriggle free from the ropes that tied her to her chair.

"Why is it not coming off?" Goff questioned angrily as Adrian continued to groan in pain.

"'Cause your blades are dull as fuck, man!" Adrian shouted. "Why don't you maintain your torture shit? Argh! Jesus fucking Christ!"

"You're doing nothing to it, so just stop!" Jada yelled just as she was able to get her hands somewhat lose. She continued to try to wriggle out her feet just as an explosion hit behind her, causing her to fly forward and for her chair to break, setting her whole body free somehow.

She looked over to see that Peacemaker's feet were still tied to the chair as Goff went over to attack him. Jada quickly got up and ran over to Adrian, trying to set him free as she kept looking over her shoulder to make sure Peacemaker was keeping Goff busy.

"This is the nicest thing you've ever done for me. I think you're finally bonding with me," Adrian said sweetly, a smile on his face as he fought through the pain in his toe.

"Okay, you need to stop with th—" Jada was cut off by Peacemaker swinging Goff across the ground, causing him to knock into her and send her on the ground. "Seriously?" she shouted angrily.

"Sorry!" Smith responded before he grabbed the shotgun and aimed it at Goff's face. "Peace out, motherfucker." Goff gave a shrill scream before Peacemaker blew his face off, killing him.

Jada's eyes widened as Goff collapsed to the ground, dead. "Well...it looks like you can shoot a gun after all," she said, getting up from the ground.

"Fuck you," Peacemaker replied as he stared down at Goff's body.

Jada then moved back over to Vigilante to untie his hands as Smith came over and helped untie his feet. "Smith! Reyes!" Jada heard Adebayo yell from where the explosion came from.

"We're okay!" Smith yelled back. "We're down here!"

"I think he only cut off about half my toe," Adrian pointed out, his face scrunched up.

"Hey, what'd you say your name was again?" Smith asked him.

"Adrian," he answered, glancing over at Jada since she was the one who remembered, not his supposed best friend. "I need to put my mask back on in case they come down."

Jada bent down and grabbed it for him, handing it to him. "Here," she said plainly before he took it from her, keeping her intense eye contact she always held with people.

"Thank you," he said nervously under her strong gaze before they all started to stand up. Weird noises heard from Goff's body as something moved in his blown off face. "What the..."

Jada watched as a butterfly came out from his head, making her eyes widen. "Holy shit," she whispered since she had never seen one in person before. The three of them watched as it flew up in the air, flying above them.

"Oh...Project Butterfly," Smith said darkly with a mean expression on his face.

This is super long, I'm so sorry!!! I just didn't feel like splitting the chapter up since I thought it worked better keeping it all together.

But Jada finally knows that Adrian is Vigilante!!! She really didn't get to talk about it in this chapter since he was being tortured, but hopefully, they'll actually talk more soon...
