works for me.

AFTER GOING HOME AND GETTING HERSELF CLEANED UP, Jada drove to Fennel Fields. She had wanted to come back some time soon, so she thought it would be the perfect time to now because of the success of the mission and since she and Adrian were teammates.

She wasn't entirely going for Adrian, though, duh. That would be insane of her to do. But she couldn't fight the thought in the back of her mind that had kept on telling her that she was enjoying his company.

She walked into the restaurant, the hostess giving her a table alone. Jada subtly looked around, not making it seem like she was trying to look for Adrian. She couldn't find him just yet, but that was when her phone buzzed.

She took it out of her pocket and saw that she was added to a group chat called '11th Street Kids'. She tapped on the chat, looking at the picture that Harcourt sent to them all. It showed Smith laughing in the back with Economos laughing on the left. She then looked to the right and saw Adrian chuckling with herself looking at him, a bright smile on her face.

She stared down at the picture, not used to seeing herself like that in so long. The last time she was actually this happy was when she was dating Rick. She'd never thought she'd see herself like that again.

Peacemaker then sent a 'praising hands emoji', making her snap out of her thoughts. Shortly after, Economos wrote, 'So fucking cool'. Adrian then sent a 'merman emoji', making her laugh in confusion. She quickly typed out 'Magnífico' and sent it into the chat, before she looked up, meeting eyes with Adrian at the same time he looked up from his own phone.

She placed her phone down on the table, sending him a soft grin and a wave. Adrian took that as a sign to walk over, a slightly surprised look on his face. "Hey, uh, what are you doing here?" he asked, fiddling with his little work hat on his head for a second.

"I told you, I like this place," she replied, her eyebrows raised as she looked up at him.

"Yeah, but you said you'd come at the times I wouldn't be working," he recalled, looking around to make sure his boss didn't see him not working.

"Oh, well, I just really felt like coming either way," she teased, licking her lips for a moment. "Wanna sit?"

Adrian cleared his throat nervously, "I might get in trouble."

"Ah, don't worry, I'll vouch for you," she promised and he nodded slowly, sitting down. The waitress then came over and Jada ordered a beer for the both of them. "So, we did pretty good today, didn't we?"

"I guess. I still wanted to use the chainsaw, though," Adrian pouted, his nose scrunched up.

"Like I said, you'll get your chance one day. Maybe soon, who knows?" she shrugged, taking a sip of her beer. "Either way, at least we didn't get kidnapped again like last time."

"Yeah, I can't afford to get my other pinky toe half-cut off," Adrian joked, making Jada laugh harder than she should have.

"How is your toe, by the way?" she asked, genuinely wanted to know.

"Oh, psh, it's fine. Nothin' I can't handle," he assured her, making her chuckle lightly before taking another sip of her beer. He copied her, doing the same. "Although, it would be worth it to be kidnapped with you again," he said cheekily.

She rolled her eyes playfully, noticing his flirtatious demeanor. "Oh, really?" she said, narrowing her eyes slightly to challenge him.

"Yeah, I mean...you wanted to stop Goff from murdering me and you remembered my name," he told her, lifting his eyebrows.

She scoffed, "That's, like, normal human decency."

He shrugged. "Guess I'm not used to decent human beings."

"As if you're one yourself," she said sarcastically, making his mouth drop since he was offended. "What? You think killing people with chainsaws is fun," she reasoned. Even though Adrian was lowkey, well probably highkey, insane...she didn't really care.

"Okay, fair. Fair," he said, making her laugh before she took another sip of her beer. "So, I see you took my advice," he spoke up after a moment.

"What advice?" she asked, arching a brow.

"You know, the advice I told you in the car the other night. With the trusting people."

"Oh. That," Jada remembered, nodding her head. "I wouldn't call it trusting. More like...adjusting," she told him, shrugging. She didn't want to give him the full satisfaction of him being correct. But it was true, she was actually starting to like all of them. Maybe even Smith just a smidge, although she would never admit that.

"Works for me," he responded, taking another sip of his beer.

After more chatting and possibly three or four more beers later, the two had gotten a nice rhythm going on, practically saying whatever had come to mind because of how drunk they were.

They had talked about Smith and if Jada would ever forgive him, which she didn't know the answer to. They talked about why Smith had called Adrian "Thimble", which Jada had mischievously doubted that that was true, making Adrian blush. And this all had led to them finally paying, with Jada vouching for Adrian like she had promised.

"I feel alive!" Jada exclaimed as she held her hands out, walking over to her car.

Adrian giggled before he came to his senses a little bit, realizing that it probably wasn't a good idea for either of them to drive. "Hey...we should probably call an Uber so we don't kill ourselves," he suggested, a slur in his words from the alcohol.

Jada turned around swiftly, almost falling over before she balanced herself. "Good...idea."

After she had called and Uber and their driver picked them up, he had drove to Jada's apartment building first. Jada slowly got out, trying not to stumble over. Even though she was usually good with alcohol, she was just feeling more giddy after spending time with Adrian, causing her to become more drunk.

She almost fell onto the pavement, making Adrian immediately run out of the car and help her. "Whoa! Are you okay?" he asked, although he was kind of stumbling as well.

Jada laughed out loud, trying to get up as she wobbled. Adrian grabbed her arm, trying to help her up before they both fell down on the ground together. Side by side.

They turned to look at each other before they bursted out laughing, finding it funny. "We are so clumsy!" Adrian yelled and Jada nodded, chortling loudly. They then had finally gotten up before Adrian realized that the Uber had driven off, thinking that they had the same destination. "Shit! He left!"

"Whattttt?" Jada slurred, realizing that the Uber was gone.

"Ugh, now I gotta, uhhh, call another one," Adrian groaned, trying to find his phone in his pocket.

"Orrrrr, you can just spend the night with me," Jada suggested drunkenly, pursing her lips quirkily. "My bed is sooooo big, we can definitely fit."

"Uh, you sure?" Adrian asked, not wanting to invade her privacy.

"Yeah! Come on!" Jada urged, running off to her room. Adrian immediately followed after her, the both of them laughing as they raced to her room.

She quickly took her keys out and opened the door, being bombarded by her two cats. "OMG, awwwwww," he cooed. "What are their names?" Adrian asked as Jada closed the door.

"Luke and Leia," she answered coyly, being embarrassed that she named her cats after Star Wars characters.

"No way! You like Star Wars?" Adrian queried excitedly, his eyes lighting up.

"Yeah! Do you?"

"Duh!" he shouted, making Jada squeal happily. They watched as the cats ran off to the bathroom, staying in their to avoid their drunken activities. "You literally just got soooo much more attractive by saying you like Star Wars, by the way," he revealed, turning towards her.

"Did I?" she responded, biting her lip for a second as she grinned. "You know, you're not who I thought you were," she spoke with some slur, getting closer to him.

"Who did you think I was?" he questioned, tensing up as he watched her near him.

"Some sociopath who didn't care about anyone other than the attention of Peacemaker," she told him. "But you're not. You may be a sociopath, but you're a sociopath with good intentions." She placed a hand on his arm, looking up with him with her alluring eyes.

"Would I not be considered a sociopath if I said I was feeling...." he took a deep breath in, "...extremely attracted to you right now?" he asked, swallowing hard as he kept her extreme, enticing eye contact.

"Do you want to find out?" she said with a flirtatious smirk, getting risqué. She would have never in a million years have worked up the courage to do this sober, even though her personality suggested otherwise. She may have been confident in everything else, but definitely not in anything sexual.

"Definitely," he answered straight away before their lips crashed into each other, not hesitating to move in sync with each other. He was still wearing the stupid Fennel Fields had so she ripped it off his head, her hands in his hair for a few seconds.

Adrian pressed her up against the wall as they continued to make out, her arms draped around his neck. They pulled away for second to catch their breaths and smile at one another before they immediately went back at it again, the heat rising in the room.

It was like their minds were no longer working, only their lips. They somehow moved so well together for the both of them being extremely drunk.

Jada then decided to push Adrian onto her bed, staring down at him with a seductive look. She began to take her shirt off slowly and once it was off, she looked down again to see that Adrian had...passed out?

"Adrian?" she asked, her shirt in her hand. "Hellooooo?" He began to snore, making her laugh out loud. Guess he had a little too much to drink.

However, since Jada was equally as drunk as he was, she wasn't that bothered by the fact he had fallen asleep because she had quickly done so a few moments later, laying in bed next to him.

You guys probably hate me for not having them officially hook up. I just don't like writing smut and I feel like Adrian passing out before doing the deed would be something he would do LOL. I also didn't want to rush their relationship too much, so I feel like having them make out was a good step.

And sorry this took so long, I had like 3 tests this week and I watched Multiverse of Madness today (which was amazing by the way) so I didn't get around to updating until right now.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter!!!!
