I am not good with marriage stuff so when it came to vows, I got some help from Google.

Tanjiro's pov

"Come on Mui, hurry up! They are already waiting for us!" I yelled out and a minute later I heard loud footsteps rushing downstairs, soon seeing my boyfriend dragging his luggage towards me.

"Sorry! I was packing something!" He said and quickly put his shoes on. I chuckled and patted his head before picking up his luggage "it's okay, just hurry up or Yuichiro will kill you, you know how much he panics when it comes to this stuff"

"We have literally three hours before the plane takes off, he's acting like we have only ten minutes" he said and grabbed his hoodie before walking out of the house. I chuckled and locked the door to our house.

We walked over to Yuichiro's car and opened the trunk so we could put our luggages in. We sat down in the back of the car together with Genya while Yuichiro and Sanemi sat in the front.

"Took y'all long enough" Yuichiro said and started the car, immediately driving towards the airport that wasn't that far from our house.

All of us decided to go on a vacation to escape our jobs for once. It was supposed to be only me, Muichiro and Yuichiro but after Yichiro realized he's going to be basically a third wheel, he forced Genya and Sanemi to come with us.

I was really excited for this vacation because I had something big planned.. I planned on proposing to him, I already knew how I would do it. I wanted to take him to a nice dinner, maybe just have a little romantic moment by a pool and once the perfect moment comes, I am gonna pull out the ring and propose to him.

"I am so excited! I haven't been on a vacation for so long!" Muichiro said excitedly and I smiled at him "right? I'll be awesome!'

"Stop it you two, you're making me feel single" Genya said and Muichiro snuggled to me "it's probably because you are single"

Genya rolled his eyes sarcastically "right right, I forgot"

After we put our luggages away and checked our passwords, we waited for our plane to come. Yuichiro, Genya and Sanemi went to get something to eat to kill the time while me and Muichiro just sat next to each other.

Muichiro scrolled on his phone and kept looking around anxiously which made me worried "you okay, Mui?" I asked and he nodded "mhm! Just a little nervous.. I've never actually been on a plane" he chuckled.

"Oh really? But hey, you don't need to worry about anything, it's nothing bad, I've been on a plane multiple times and nothing bad happened" I smiled and he smiled as well, grabbing onto my hand "yea I guess.. at least it won't take as much time, I remember when me, Yui, mama and dad went on a vacation by car, that was horrible! It took almost two days to even get there!"

I laughed "yea! I can imagine, it must have been horrible" he nodded "it was! Never again!"

He both laughed and continued to talk for a bit until Yuichiro, Genya and Sanemi came back and interrupted us "the plane has two hour delay" Sanemi said and Muichiro groaned "oh my god! I am already bored and I am supposed to wait here for another two hours?!"

Yichiro slapped the back of his head "stop whining, just listen to music or something, hm?"

Muichiro rolled his eyes and nodded, taking out his headphones and plugging it into his phone.

Once the plane finally arrived, we all sat down at our seats and quietly sat there while everyone else was looking for their seats. I looked over at Muichiro who was anxiously fidgeting with his fingers and looking out of a window.

I grabbed onto his hand and held it tightly "no need to be scared, Mui, I'll be okay" I smiled and he slightly nodded "I know it will but I can't help but feel nervous.."

"Do you want me to hold your hand while we take off?" I asked and he gave me a small nod, holding onto my hand tighter.

It was already night and we were still sitting in a plane. Mui rested his head against my shoulder while sleeping peacefully. I took a deep breath and turned to look at Yuichiro who was struggling to fall asleep too.

"Hey Yuichiro, can I.. tell you something?" I asked and he nodded "make it quick"

"So ehm.. I am planning on proposing to Mui.. on the vacation" I said and Yuichiro's mouth dropped "holy shit, you gotta be fucking kidding me"

"I am not.. I've been planning it for a long time and I think that now it's a perfect chance to do it" I said and his eyebrows narrowed "you are gonna propose to him on the plane?"

"What?! No, I want to propose to him once we get there.. like, after dinner or something when we are alone.. he'll like that, no?" I asked and he rolled his eyes "he talked to me about it couple times, how he'd imagine it"

My eyes widened "wait really? Tell me!"

"He doesn't want anything big, he'd be happy even if you proposed in the worst place imaginable.. he'd just be happy that someone actually proposed to him, that's all he wants" Yuichiro said and I sighed "yea but.. I still want to make it special"

"I mean, you can take him to dinner, watch the sunset together, couples do that, right? And then propose, I think that'll be enough"

"I guess so yeah.. I'll try to think of something more"

We've been here for three days already and I still didn't get the courage to propose to him.. everytime I wanted to, something happened, someone interrupted us or there were too many people.

I sat in our hotel room, looking at the ring I held in my hand when suddenly someone knocked on the door. I hid the ring and called out "come in!"

Yuichiro stepped into the room and sat down on my bed, saying "you are taking your time, hm? Or are you just nervous?"

I sighed again, saying "well.. I don't know, I know he'll say yes but.. I just can't find the right time to do it, something always seems to ruin it"

"Alright, how about this, you go to a dinner with him and me, Genya and Sanemi prepare something here? The thing you planned is clearly not working so how about we make it more simple? I am sure he'll like it like that" he said and I nodded "I think you're right.. yea, let's do it, thank you"

"Come on! Just tell me where we are going!" Muichiro said excitedly. I chuckled and held his hand tighter "be patient Mui, you'll get to know soon"

I said and he groaned "okay okay, I'll be patient"

Soon after we came into a restaurant where we sat down at one of the tables and Mui looked around excitedly "it's so pretty here!" He said and took the menu, immediately looking at all kinds of foods.

I laughed and looked at mine as well. Once we ordered, we both sat there and talked together about literally anything, there wasn't even a minute of silence.

I was so excited to see what Yuichiro and others planned out but at the same time I was a bit worried. What if he lied? What if he actually didn't prepare something nice? What if I fuck up the proposal?

"Tanjiro..!" I heard and snapped out of my thoughts, seeing Muichiro worriedly looking at me "are you alright? You spaced out"

"Oh yes yes, I am sorry" I said and he nodded "alright, just making sure"

After the dinner we both went back to our hotel. I opened the door and turned the light on, seeing flower petals everywhere. Muichiro gasped and went around the room in excitement, opening the door to the outside and seeing champagne, chocolate and strawberries prepared next to the pool together with some lit up candles.

"Did you make this!?" He said and I nodded a little "with someone's help"

He hugged me tightly "I love it! O-Oh my god I am gonna cry, I am so happy!" He said with tears shining in his eyes. "Awh come on Mui, it was nothing, no need to cry" I smiled and led him towards the pool where he dipped our legs inside the pool and sat on the edge of it.

I poured us some champagne and handed one of the glasses to Muichiro. After a bit of talking, drinking and other cheesy stuff, I decided to finally make my move and say what I wanted to for so long.

"Mui, there's something I need to tell you" I said and laid down the glass. Mui looked at me and asked "what is it, Tanjiro?"

I took a deep breath and said "Mui.. we've been dating for over three years now and.. those were the best three years I ever had and I can imagine growing old with someone else.. nor do I want to. You are the most handsome, beautiful, smart, funny, talented person I've ever got to meet. I promise you, no one will work harder to make you happy or cherish you more than me so I wanted to ask.." I pulled out a small box out of my pocket.

Muichiro gasped and covered his mouth as I opened the box, showing him a beautiful ring "will you marry me?"

Muichiro's eyes filled up with tears as he began to sob. He nodded and hugged me tightly. I returned the hug, tears filling my eyes as well "I-I love you.. so much" he said between hiccups and sobs.

"I love you too.." I said and pulled away a bit, holding up the ring. Muichiro smiled and held out his hand, allowing me to put a ring on his finger.

5 months later

"Hey, have you seen Mui somewhere?" I asked Yuichiro and he shook his head "no I haven't, why?'

"I haven't seen him anywhere, the wedding is starting soon and I don't know where he even is" I said in panic. Yuichiro sighed "just look more, I am just he didn't went far, he's probably just nervous"

I nodded and looked around more, soon hearing quiet sobs from one of the rooms. I walked into the room and found Muichiro sitting on the edge of the bed, his face buried in his hands, soft sobs escaping his lips.

I approached Muichiro slowly and sat down next to him "Muichiro," I said softly, my voice filled with concern. "What's wrong?"

He looked up, his eyes  red and swollen from crying. "Tanjiro... I'm so scared," he mumbled, his voice trembling. "What if I mess everything up? What if I'm not good enough for you?"

I  gently placed my hand on his back. "Muichiro, listen to me," I said with a reassuring voice  "You are more than enough. You're the kindest, most compassionate person I've ever known. I fell in love with you for who you are, not for any expectations or requirements."

"But what if I can't make you happy?" he whispered, his voice filled with doubt.

I took his hands in mine, looking deeply into his eyes. "Muichiro, don't ever say that again, you are the most perfect person I've ever met.. and I know that being with you will make me the happiest person alive."

A small smile tugged at the corners of Muichiro's lips "You really mean that, Tanjiro?"

"Absolutely," I replied "We'll face everything together, Muichiro. The nerves, the uncertainties, and even the moments when we doubt ourselves. Remember, love isn't about being flawless. It's about accepting each other"

Muichiro took a deep breath, his trembling slowly subsiding. "Thank you, Tanjiro.. I needed to hear that."

I pulled him into a warm embrace, holding him tightly. "You'll be amazing, Muichiro," I whispered, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead. "I believe in you, and I'll be right by your side every step of the way."

Standing at the altar, my heart swelled with love and excitement as I watched Muichiro walk down the aisle. His eyes never leaving mine.

As Muichiro reached my side, I took his hands in mine, feeling a rush of warmth and affection. We turned towards each other, ready to exchange our vows. Taking a deep breath, I began to talk.

"Muichiro, from the moment I met you, my world changed. You brought light into my life, filling the darkest corners with your gentle presence. Today, I stand here, in front of our loved ones, to make a promise to you.
I promise to love you, with every ounce of my being. I promise to support you in every triumph and every struggle. I promise to cherish the unique individual you are, and to celebrate our differences as strengths that bring us closer.
Today, and every day that follows, I choose you, Muichiro. I choose us, our love, and the beautiful future we will build together."

Tears welled up in Muichiro's eyes as he looked at me with overwhelming love. His voice, though soft, carried the weight of his love and commitment.

"Tanjiro, my beloved," he began, his voice shaking with emotion. "In you, I have found a love beyond my wildest dreams. You have shown me the depths of compassion, the strength of unwavering support, and the beauty of true partnership.
I promise to love you fiercely, with a love that will never falter. I promise to stand by your side through every storm, holding your hand and reminding you of our love. I promise to always be honest, to communicate openly, and to cherish the sacred bond we share. With you, I have found solace, joy, and a love that transcends all boundaries. Today, I pledge my heart, my soul, and my life to you, Tanjiro."

As Muichiro finished his vows, a hush fell over the crowd, the air thick with emotion. I couldn't contain my overwhelming love for him any longer. With tears of joy streaming down my face, I leaned in, pressing my lips gently against his, sealing our promises with a tender and passionate kiss.
