I am really sorry for such a tale upload, I didn't have any motivation to write anything lately and "quiet but loveable" was coming out because I already have all the chapters pre- written. Do yea, I apologize, I have one more suggestion for this and then I am done with this.

Tanjiro's pov

I walked in the classroom, immediately going to my seat where I saw my boyfriend also. I smiled and sat down next to him, he was asleep.

I slightly shook with him, making him let out a quiet groan before looking at me. "Oh, Tanjiro... hi" he said quietly with a slight smile.

It worried me a bit, he was a really hard working student and he would never allow himself to fall asleep in school.

"Is everything okay? Did you sleep enough?" I asked and laid my bag next to the desk. Muichiro thought about it for a second before shaking his head slightly.

"No.. I couldn't fall asleep" he replied "b-but I am fine, I promise"

"Is it about Yuichiro again?" I asked, making Muichiro look down onto his lap sadly, nodding "I am just really worried about him, I feel like I have to check on him every ten minutes so I don't panic" he sighed.

I nodded and patted his back "hey it'll be fine, I am sure he will get better sooner or later" I saw, trying to calm him down a bit.

"Yeah, th-"

"Okay class, calm down, we have a new student today,'' the teacher said, interrupting Muichiro mid sentence.

"Let's talk more after class, okay?" I whispered to Muichiro and he slightly nodded, laying his arms back on the desk and his head on them. He must be really tired.

"We have a new student today, Kanao, please come in" the teacher said before someone walked into the classroom. It was a slightly taller falema than Muichiro, she had a ponytail on the left side of her head.

"Hello everyone! I am Kanao Tsuyuri, nice to meet you" she said with a cheerful voice.

I could hear guys around me already simping for her.

"Wow, she's so pretty"

"I know, right? I bet she will definitely be into me"

"What? You? Someone like her could never like you, she's too good for you"

She was indeed pretty but she couldn't compete with Muichiro. I looked over at Muichiro, he was asleep again. I sighed and looked back up, seeing Kanao walk towards us, taking a seat at the desk in front of us.

When the lesson ended Kanao immediately turned to look at me. "Hi there, what's your name?" She said smiling, pressing herself against my desk.

"I am Tanjiro" I replied simply. She let out a small giggle "Tanjiro, huh? What a cute name, I was wondering if you would want to show me around school" she said.

"Well, I have some time before PE class so I guess" I said and stood up, walking out of the classroom.

Kanao followed me around, being weirdly touchy with me "thank god Muichiro is not seeing this, he gets jealous easily" I thought to myself and tried to ignore her acting.

"Who was that female that's sitting next to you?" She asked. I slightly giggled "it's a male… and my boyfriend, his name is Muichiro"

"Oh, how adorable" he said while annoyingly smiling for some reason.

Muichiro's pov

I woke up due to the sound of the bell ringing. "Hm? Is another class starting?" I said quietly, waiting for Tanjiro's response but not getting any.

I opened my eyes to see the whole classroom empty "H-Huh?!" I quickly took out my phone where I had a photo of my class schedule.

"PE!? Why didn't Tanjiro wake me up?!" I thought and quickly ran towards my locker to grab my clothes before running into the gym.

…

"Tokito! You're late!" The teacher yelled at me. I nodded "I am sorry, I f-"

"I don't want to hear your excuses, go change, everyone's waiting just for you!"

"Y-Yes sir.." I said and walked into the changing room. I walked in and already saw Tanjiro's clothes there. "Did he forget about me? Did he go with someone else?" I thought to myself, changing my clothes.

I walked outside to see everyone already waiting and ready to go to the running track. "You are getting three more laps for this so next time you don't come late" the teacher and I nodded.

I looked around to see Tanjiro talking to someone, it was probably someone new because I had never seen her before.

"Mui, you're here" Tanjiro said and patted my head. I nodded, not saying anything about him not waking me up, I wasn't supposed to be asleep in the first place.

"So this is Muichiro, huh? I am Kanao, Tanjiro's friend~" he giggled and grabbed onto Tanjiro's arm. Tanjiro only awkwardly laughed and nodded before we all walked to the running track.

That was the first time Kanao tried to leave me out.. and for the past weeks it just got worse and worse.

Tanjiro was still hanging out with me after school sometimes but he was mainly with Kanao, which kind of hurt.. because I had no one else to talk to.

Four months later

I was sitting in class, eating my lunch alone because Tanjiro wasn't in school today. No one else was in the classroom which I was happy about.. until Kanao walked into the room.

She looked mad, more annoyed maybe. She sat down next to me and knocked the food on the floor. I looked at her and asked "why did you do that..?"

"Break up with Tanjiro" she said immediately. My eyes widened "H-Huh? N-No! I am not g-"

She slammed her hand on the table "I SAID BREAK UP WITH HIM!" she yelled out, making me flinch slightly. I don't like when someone yells at me like this.

"Why?" I said quietly.

She giggled quietly before her laugh got louder and more hysterical. She looked at me with a wide smile before getting our faces closer.

"Isn't it obvious? I am.. in love with Tanjiro~ and you are getting in my way, if you break up with him, there will be only me and him… he will have no choice but to date me~"

My heart dropped. I quickly shook my head "N-No! I don't want to break up with him he's m-"

"I don't care.." he moved closer to me and grabbed my chin "if you don't do it yourself, I'll do it myself" she laughed out before standing up and going over to the door.

Before she left she said "I give you time till tomorrow~"

…

I was walking home from school, trying to call Tanjiro. I wanted to tell him what all happened with Kanao.

"Yes Mui?" He said when he picked up the call.

"Tanjiro.. can you come over please? I need to talk to you about something.."

"Can't you just tell me now?"

"No.. I mean yeah but.. I want to talk to you normally.."

"Alright, I'll come around 7pm, is that okay? I am a bit busy now"

"Yeah, that's fine.. just please come" 

"I will but first tell me, are you alright? You seem really down"

"Oh yes yes, I am just really tired, I'll get some sleep before you come"

"Alright, bye Mui"

"Bye.." I said quietly before hanging up.

…

I came home, immediately going into Yuichiro's room to check if he took his pills. I opened the door to see Yuichiro on his bed.

I walked towards him and sat down on the bed, thinking he was asleep but when I grabbed his hand his skin was extremely cold.

I shook with him a bit, calling out his name but he didn't move a muscle, I was starting to panic.

I grabbed his hand and placed two of my fingers on his wrist trying to feel his pulse. It was so slow. I immediately shook with him again "YUI! WAKE UP!"

Nothing, he wasn't moving, breathing so slowly. I picked up my phone with my extremely shaky hands and called an ambulance.

…

I watched the ambulance drive away, trying to hold back my tears. I picked up my phone and called my uncle to inform him about this.

He was on a business trip with work so I wanted him to come back as soon as possible.

After the call I went to my room and dropped on the bed, letting the tears fall out of my eyes freely.

Everything turned into a disaster in one day. I started to sob harder and harder… not being able to stop. I was feeling miserable, shaking violently out of fear of losing Yuichiro and Tanjiro too…

After a while of crying I picked up my phone and looked at my phone. "4pm.." I thought to myself and stood up, walking into the bathroom.

I looked into the cabin and grabbed some sleeping pills and a cup of cold water.

I went back to my room and sat down on the bed. "Will all the pain go away when I go to sleep..? I would be able to think about it… I want to escape this…"

Tanjiro's pov

I was finally done helping my mother much earlier than I expected. I grabbed my phone and headed to Muichiro's house earlier.

I got to his house and knocked on the door, waiting for the answer… nothing. I knocked again but still with no answer.

I opened the door myself and walked in "Mui?" I called out, still not getting any answer.

I walked upstairs and headed into Muichiro's room. I saw his door slightly opened so I peeked in.

I saw him sitting on his bed, putting multiple pills in his hand before taking a deep breath and putting all of them in his mouth. That's when I ran into the room.

I immediately went towards him "Muichiro spit them out!!" I yelled out. Muichiro looked down and spit the pills into a tissue.

"You could have overdosed yourself!! Why did you take so much?!" I yelled out. Muichiro shook his head, starting to sob "I-I am sorry…" he said quietly.

I pulled him into a hug "why did you do that? What happened?"

"Y-Yui.. h-he.. he's in hospital.. I-I can't take it anymore.. I-It hurts so much.." he stuttered out quietly.

I nodded and hugged him tighter, letting him sob into my chest "I see.. I am sorry Mui.." I said while running my fingers through his hair "but you can't do such things even if you feel this way… you can't put your own health in danger too.. Call me or come over.. I am always here for you.."

He nodded and wiped his tears "Y-Yeah.. s-sorry.." he said quietly. "Is this what you wanted to talk about?"

"N-No it's… it's something else"

"Tell me.."

Muichiro nodded and leaned against me again "it's about Kanao… she.. she spoke to me today, she wants me to break up with you because she's apparently in love with you.."

"What?! Wait, really!?"

He nodded "mhm.. you won't break up with me, right?"

"Of course not! I would never do that Mui!" I yelled out and looked into his watery eyes, wiping his tears off of his cheeks.

"Thank you… thank you so much Tanjiro.." he hugged me only again "I don't know what I would do without you… I love you so much.."

"I love you too Mui" I kissed his forehead and hugged him tighter, letting him rest in my embrace.
