Chapter Nine

(Seto's POV)

Yes, I kept all of their weapons. Of corse I had to wait till they all died to collect them, but now they're needed again. Almost 300 years, and now Sky pops out of a rock. Of course he does. And, now I have to somehow explain this situation without revealing too much. What a bother......

"Ok! So, everyone this is Sky, my friend", I start off.

"Hi.....", Sky awardly mumbles. I feel bad for him. Waking up in a new time must be pretty awful. Hopefully he'll soon realize the rest of them are still who they were. Plus Ssunndee.

"Let me tell you a story. Some call it a legend, but it's very true. A group of seven people got together to fight for what was right. Unknowingly, they sparked a war. A revolution. A great battle fought in GoldenEye against squids", I try to explain, but I'm interrupted.

"Six. There's only six people in the legend", Mitch tries to correct me.

"Seven", Sky insists, a bit of a smile on his face.

"Yes. Seven. And they were lead by a beloved man named Adam, or Sky. The seven fought in the first major battle before there was an army. Sadly, two of the seven disappeared. The squid army had somehow disappeared after that for no reason. The battle seemed to be postponed", I finish.

"Sky? Isn't that you", Ty asks Sky.

"I think so.....I don't know how. Everything is so different", Sky confesses.

"And how do you know all of this? Whose the seventh?", Jason perks up, finally escaping his pile of armor, "There was Sky, Deadlox, TrueMu, Jerome ASF, Bajan, and Husky".

"Your reasoning is correct. The seventh member was erased from the legend because it'd put his identity at risk. I mean, you can only have your name mentioned in history so many times before someone gets suspicious", I crack a smile.

"Wait. Seto? How old are you?", Jerome asks, shellshocked. My smile widens.

"It's you, isn't it? You're older then the entire armies' history! Why do you look 17?", Quinten yells.

"18. I'm not actually suppose to tell you all much more. I'm already pushing my limits. Let's just say we were about to loose that first battle, and someone far stronger then me didn't like that. The battle was postponed and drawn into war until the seven were back together", I say. Don't need a certain someone coming to reset the clock again. I walk over to Ty, tapping his spear. "Deadlox. That's what your name used to be", I tell him. I name the others with their old titles, Sky listening and nodding to himself. He's probably trying to memorize their new names to avoid an awkward conversation.

Finally I get to Ssunndee. "You said seven. There's eight people in this room", he tells me.

"That's correct. But you're part of this, too. We lost the first battle. Badly. Sky was almost killed. Remember how I said someone wasn't happy with that? You're the 'wild card' that was sent to help us succeed this time. There's something special inside that head of yours that's needed for us to win", I explain to him. Ssunndee shifts on his feet a bit with that.

"We're suppose to be reincarnations of some old fighting group?", Mitch says with some skepticism.

"I refer to them as loops", I nod.

"So how come I'm the only one.... who.....", Sky struggles to find the words.

"There's a reason I am like this, but I don't know why you were trapped in stone instead of entering another loop like everyone else", I shrug.

"Even if everything you say is true, what do we do now?", Jason nervously figits with one of his gloves. The old habit makes Sky smile a little.

"This is the first time we've all been back in the same place", I start, "That means it's time to finish that first battle".

"And you said that all those people from earlier are part of an army? They're all fighting the squids?", Sky winces a bit for yelling at the people before.

"Yeah, but don't worry. I'll catch you up on things", I try to reassure him, before turning to the others, "As for the rest of you, I believe some retraining is in order".
