Chapter 1 Snow and Blood
Snow ran as fast as her little tiny feet could take her. She couldn't control the tears that streamed down her cheeks, turning into icicles and fall in to the ground.
"Run Snow! Run!! Don't turn back!!" Screamed her step mother behind her.
Her step mother had been the only one to love her for who she was, unlike all the others who feared her presence. They thought her step mother was the Evil queen, who wanted to look pretty by drinking the blood of her ever so sweet step daughter. Well they were wrong. Of course, it was a story her step mother had created to keep Snow from being the centre of attention. It'd worked for a while, but not long enough for Snow to learn how to use her affinities. The air grew cooler and cooler. Snow tumbled and staggered, yet she didn't stop. Her blue little dress had torn from the ends as it got stuck to thorns and shrubs. But Snow didn't care. Snow stopped as she heard a heart wrenching scream. She turned around to see who it was, but couldn't find anyone. She rushed towards the voice and stumbled upon a woman. She bent down near her. Snow wanted to scream. An arrow protruded from her step mother's chest.
The queen lay there dying, her blood splattering the white snow around her. Snow lifted her head as tears poured out of her eyes fiercely, and turned into tiny icicles. Her step mother lifted her hand and caressed Snow's pale white cheek.
"Run......Snow White." She whispered.
Her hand fell from her cheek, lifeless. Her grey eyes stared into space as her soul left her body. Snow whimpered and hugged her mother's body. She heard the soldiers yelling. They were close. But Snow didn't want to leave her mother. Where would a six year old orphan go all by herself? She hugged her mother's body and placed a kiss on her cold forehead. Snow left her, and screamed so strongly that anyone would have bleeding ears as a result of hearing her. As she screamed, the dark pine trees turned to ice. A strong ice storm made its way to the soldiers. Snow could not see them, but she could here their screams of pain and torture. Snow smiled to herself.
Something grew in her heart. That very moment changed the young child, for the worst. Snow no longer felt pain or guilt for the soldiers she'd killed. She felt nothing at all. She turned, and stormed into the icy mist, disappearing from the sight of her pursuers. They shouldn't have feared a playful child.
For now, they created a monster they could never escape.
