Chapter 22: Outburst
Anna got inside her car and drove away. She had imprinted a tracking device on Dylan's shirt while she was doing his collar and tie. She doesn't know who did they kidnap but as far as she knows that the captive is a De Luca, it was of her concern. She has to save her. She parked her car in front of a dressing stall and got inside. After a while, she came out in all black pant and shirt and got inside her car. It's been past one and a half hour and it was getting dark.
There was a call from someone, she quickly connected it to her Bluetooth and received it.
"Boss, the car has just reached Oliver Avenue and stopped in front of the mansion 3,"
"Thank you, Vito." She said over the Bluetooth.
"What are you going to do, Boss?" Vito asked in concern.
"I'm barging in."
"What! I'm reporting the Don."
"Report him and I'll fire you." Anna threatened him. "Secure the cameras for me,"
"Yes, boss. Be careful, Boss."
"I will," She said and disconnected the Bluetooth.
By the time she reached the location, it was pitch dark. She put on the transparent tube over her ear and connected it.
"I'm going in now. Did you find the basement?"
"Left hallway, corner, downstairs," Vito informed. "The boss is upstairs in his office with a man. There are two guards on the gate and two on the basement. The security is weak!"
"It's because they aren't expecting any visitors," Anna smirked and got off from her car. She was covered with cap and mask. "I'm hopping on from the back." She said and stood in front of the wall. She jumped and hopped over the wall and was inside the territory. She moved silently towards the entrance and got herself inside without noticing. Scurrying silently towards the left hallway until she came halted in front of the stairs that leads down the basement. The way down to it was led with dim orange light. She kept her eyes in all direction and carefully descended down the stairs. And as she peeked through from the edge of the wall, she saw two men standing in front of the door.
"This is it, let's do it quickly and get out of here," Anna sighed before pulling away from the wall and coming to view in front of the men.
"Who the hell are you?" One of the men asked and pulled out his gun immediately but Anna rushed to him and kicked his hand, letting the gun fly far away from him. Then she moved towards the second man and disarmed him by twisting his wrist, dropping the gun from him. And before both the men could fight her, she swiftly punctured a needle-like pin on their neck and both the men fell to the floor in an instant. Then she curved down and searched over their bodies for the key.
After grabbing the key from one of the men pockets, without wasting another second, she unlocked the door and her eyes went wide in shocked looking at the person in front of her.
"Jasmine," She rushed towards her and bent down on her level. Jasmine was half unconscious and there were bruises on her face and hands. She was being drugged. Jasmine struggled to look up and panted as she saw Anna in front of her.
"Anna," She panted out in a bare whisper. She doesn't have the strength to even speak. Anna flared up in anger as she took in her sister position. She wanted to barge into Dylan and beat the shit out of him but she stayed composed. She couldn't let her emotion take over now. She has to first get the hell out of here first.
"C'mon Jasmine, let's get you out of here," She said and help her up. On their way out and up to the stairs, Jasmine kept on stumbling but Anna put her full strength and helped her walk. They made their way out of the house safely but the problem is the guards at the gate. Jasmine was in no condition on hopping over the wall, she could barely walk.
Anna kept Jasmine at one corner in the dark and move towards the entrance gate. One man was busy sitting on a bench, looking at his phone and laughing and the other man was busy cleaning his gun. He was seated beside the other. Anna strolled silently towards them and inserted the punctured at the sides of their neck. Soon both the men hung their head in their seated position.
"Piece of cake," She muttered and quickly went towards Jasmine. "Let's go," She whispered but Jasmine didn't move. Fear came crawling upon her and she quickly checks on her wrist for a pulse. She sighed in relieve before letting go of her wrist. Jasmine was fully unconscious. She hauled her up on her back and scurried heavily towards the gate and got out of the bloody territory.
She put Jasmine at the back seat of her car and without wasting a second she drove off from the place.
"Thank you, Vito. My work is done." She said over the tube.
"Tessa," Her eyes went wide in shock when Joshua's voice pops out from the tube. "Where the hell are you now?" He doesn't sound very happy.
"I'm on my way home." She gulped as she answered.
Anna entered inside their driveway only to see Joshua and Vernon standing by the entrance of the house.
"Explain yourself before I ground you for the rest of your life, Anastasia Tessa Harondale," Joshua said in a bad-tempered and strolled towards her.
Uh-oh—this is bad. Jo is really pissed off.
"I will explain but she needs to be treated first." She said, gulping down and quickly opened the back door of the car. Both her brothers' eyes went wide in shock looking at Jasmine in the worst condition.
"Jasmine," Vernon voiced shakily looking at her condition and carried her into his arms and strolled inside the house. He took her to his room and placed her gently on his bed. Joshua and Anna followed him behind.
Anna dashed out from the room and returned with the first kit box. She sat beside her and started to tend her bruises.
"They drugged her," Anna said quietly and cried in silence as she tended her sister's cuts. Vernon came beside her and put his hands on her shoulders.
"Are you hurt anywhere, Tessa?" He asked softly and came in front of her, searching for bruises on her body.
"I'm totally fine," She answered quietly.
Anna asked both her brothers to leave the room for privacy. Anna took off Jasmine's clothes and cleaned her and treated her inner wounds. After she was done treating and cleaning, she left Jasmine to rest, she was still unconscious.
Anna went downstairs and found her brothers sitting on the couch. She went and quietly joined them on the couch.
"I told Leonardo about Jasmine. I told them that she'll be staying with us until she's healthy enough to be sent back." Joshua informed but he was still upset with her.
"What did he say?" Anna asked.
"I cut the call before he could speak a word," Joshua grunted.
"Thank you, Jo," Anna said sincerely with a warm smile.
"Nothing's changed. We are still enemy. I'm just keeping the truce." Joshua said, not looking her in the eye. Anna got off from her place and strolled towards him and hugged him tightly.
"But still thank you," She cried under his chest. And soon Joshua melts towards his sister, he can never stay angry at his sister for more than a minute.
"Alright," He said softly and hugged her tightly but firmly. He placed a kiss on top of her head before pulling away. "But still you owe your brothers an explanation," He said with a tad of amusement in his voice.
"Dylan Morgan was my patient. He was discharged today but before that, I went to his room and heard him talking with his men. He ordered his men to torture her, rape her—" Vernon clenched his jaw and fisted his hands in anger and Anna noticed that. "I couldn't turn a deaf ear towards it. So I decided a rescue mission on my own with a little help." She said quietly and looked at Joshua. "Please don't fire Vito. He was about to tell you but I threatened him."
"He informed me anyway. When he learnt that you were inside Morgan's territory, he ran to me immediately. I was ready to send the force to get you out of there but thankfully, I heard from you." Joshua said in complete seriousness. "Do you know how much worried we were?" He chided at her but softly. Then he cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead. "Don't ever do that again, if you need help or anything, your brothers are here for you." He said softly.
"The Morgan's are no less than the Sylvester's. They don't go by the rule. They kill for money and do dirty businesses." Joshua said.
"That bastard, Dylan, was flirting with our princess." Samuel's voice echoed through the hallway and soon he appeared into the common hall.
"Is it true?" Vernon asked after an eternity of silence.
"I ignored him," Anna said. "He was such a jerk," She muttered under her breath before looking at Samuel who was now seated beside Vernon. "Layla filled you in, didn't she?" She asked and he nodded at her.
Vernon stood up from his place and strolled towards Anna. He pulled her into a hugged and held her firmly. "I'm very proud of you, Tessa." He said pulling away. "I know you are stronger, intelligent and smarter than any of us here but please don't ever do that again on your own." He said softly. "I don't know how I'll live if anything happens to you." Anna smiled at him.
"Our princess is a mighty warrior," Samuel joked enlightening the mood.
"Yes, and you should stop calling me princess." She prodded and looked at Vernon, "—even you," she pointed at him.
"No can do. No matter how tough you are, you'll always be my baby princess." He said cheekily pinching at the bridge of her nose. Anna groaned and grabbed on her nose before slapping her brother on the arm. Then she moved back and leaned against Joshua and stuck out her tongue at Vernon. Joshua laughed heartily and gently stroked his hand over his sister's hair. Anna felt so much calm as Joshua stroked her hair gently and fell asleep upon her brother.
"She had a tiring day," Samuel said softly looking at her warmly. "She always has,"
"She spent the night working again; she didn't come home last night." Vernon sighed in worry looking at his baby sister. "I'm worried about her health."
"I'm taking her to her room," Joshua said and slowly stood up from his place, carrying Anna on his arms. "Vernon, look after Jasmine." He said before walking up the stairs.

Two days have passed and Jasmine was still unconscious but her bruises were healing for good and her skin tone was getting back to former. Vernon and Anna stood beside the bed and looked down at the still body of Jasmine.
"Did they—" Vernon spoke up softly but stop midway and looked at Anna. "Did they—" he struggled to say the word. Anna understood what he was saying.
"No, they didn't." She said as she gave him an assured smile. "You like her?" She raised an eyebrow at him.
"No," Vernon denied.
"I've noticed you for the past two days and you know that nothing goes past through my eyes," Anna said with a glint of teasing in her eyes. Vernon simply shook his head and chuckled.
"You should have become a detective, Princess." Vernon joked looking at her.
"I am," Anna smiled and once again silence fell inside the room.
"She's a De Luca," Vernon spoke up breaking the silence. He turned towards Anna and cupped her cheek gently, "I shouldn't be feeling anything towards her."
"We can't force the feeling. It naturally happens." Anna said softly holding onto her brother's hand over her cheek. "And it is not a crime."
Then Vernon put down his hand and turned his gaze towards Jasmine and smiled. "I remember the first time we met. She was over-reacting over the little incident." He said reminiscing.
"Yeah, when you accidentally tripped over her—" Anna teased glancing her brother from the corner look. "And as for ladies—that's not a little incident." She defended her once sister, gesturing her finger upon her chest. Then suddenly Jasmine cracked up dryly and they both looked at her in concern. She slowly opened her eyes, managing them to adjust with the brightness.
"Anna," She panted out when she saw her little sister in front of her. Anna welled up in tears and hugged her immediately.
"Anna," Jasmine cried and hugged her tightly. Then they pulled away and Vernon offered her a glass of water. She glanced at him before taking the glass from him and drinking it down.
"Anna, I'm so happy to see you again." Jasmine hugged her again and welled. Shortly, Anna pulled away and gently rubbed the tears away from her Jasmine's cheek.
"You are safe now." She said softly. Then Anna went on explaining everything to her.
"Thank you, Anna," Jasmine said softly and cupped her cheeks. Then she turned her gaze towards Vernon and gave him a weak smile. "Thank you,"
Anna glanced at her wristwatch and gave Jasmine an apologetic smile. "I have to go now." Jasmine creased her brows. "I have to check on my patients at the hospital." She added making Jasmine gasp out in surprise.
"You're a doctor, Anna." Jasmine squealed in happiness to which Anna nodded at her with a smile.
"I'm so happy that you're awake. I'll see you later, Jasmine." Anna said softly, giving her a quick hug before standing up from her position. "Please take good care of her until I return," Anna said looking at Vernon. There was a glimpse of teasing in her voice. Vernon simply chuckled staring at her back.
"How are you feeling now?" Vernon asked softly sitting beside her on the bed. Jasmine remained silent and got busy staring at him.
"You grew more handsome." She said absentmindedly looking at him before coming back to her sense. She quickly looked away and cursed under her breath.
Vernon simply chuckled at her. "Are you hungry?" he asked livelily.
"Kind of," Jasmine grabbed onto her stomach ad said sheepishly.

All the family members were gathered in the common hall and waited for Leo. Leo descended down the stairs and joined them.
"Jasmine's found and she is safe now," Leo said looking at the floor. Sighed of relieved were echoed in unison.
"Where is she now?" Severina asked in worried.
"In Germany, with the Harondale." He said and at once, all eyes were on him, waiting for him to explain further. "Dylan was admitted to the hospital in Germany last week. He was under Anna's treatment." He informed.
"Anna is a doctor already," Fiona said with a tad of pride in her voice. Leo nodded at her. Marcus was expressionless and silently sat and listened.
"Anna overheard their plans and she went on rescuing Jasmine—alone," Leo said.
"Did she get hurt? Anna?" Severina asked in concern. Leo doesn't know either, for all he knows is that she's with her brothers. They haven't contact each other after the incident.
"I don't know," He said quietly.
"She'll be fine. I know her." Sarah said in assurance.
"When is Jasmine coming home?" Francis asked.
"She'll be staying with them until she fully recovers. Anna's looking after her." Leo answered.
"See that they don't lay their hand on Jasmine, I don't trust them," Marcus stated in a bad-tempered.
"They'll never harm her. I trust them." Leo said with a stoic expression. "And I know you know that. You trust them too." He said looking straight at his Nonno. Marcus groaned in annoyance, not looking at any of his family members. "And as long as Anna's with her, she's totally fine."
Marcus remained silent for some seconds before rolling out from the place.
"Now that we know Anna's in Germany, can we go and meet her as an excuse to meet Jasmine?" Dino spoke up looking at Leo. He was excited to hear about Anna but he couldn't show it since his Nonno was present at the moment. And now that he was gone, he finally spoke up. "Can we, Leo? I want to see her." He whined over like a baby.
"Act your age, Dino. You're no more a kid like once you were." Francis warned with a tad of amusement in his voice before leaving the room. Severina and Avery also stood up from their place and strolled towards the kitchen. Now all the remaining were the children of the house.
"Are you alright, Leo?" Sarah asked looking at him.
"I'm alright," Leo shrugged off before walking away from the place.
"But you didn't answer me yet," Dino shouted at his back. Leo simply waved his hand in the air, never turning back and walked away.
"I'm so relieved that Jasmine is safe and is with Anna." Alesso sighed resting his head against the couch. Then suddenly he straightened up from his position and narrowed his eyes in thought. "Anna saved her all alone from the Morgan's Don—" he wandered off. "How did she even do that?"
"She has her ways," Sarah smirked.
"What ways?" Roberto asked in curiosity.
"I don't know either but she always has her ways in doing what she's doing." Sarah shrugged off. Then she sighed and stared up at the large chandelier hanging in the middle of the room. "I'm glad that Jasmine's safe but I'm jealous of her. She gets to meet Anna. I miss our little angel." She pouted sadly and looked at Fiona.
"Everything will be fine one day and we'll meet her," Fiona said sincerely and smiled glancing around at her younger siblings. And they all returned the same.

Leo was busy working in his office room while a soft knocked sounded on his door.
"Come in," He said and soon Alvero appeared on the door.
"Your Nonno wishes to see you, Don." He informed courtly. "He is in his study."
"I'm coming," Leo said and gestured Alvero to go ahead. He stood up from his place and walked out of his office. He came halted in front of a large wooden door and knock softly over it.
"Come in," He heard his Nonno saying from the other side. He walked inside and saw his Nonno sitting by the table, his back facing him.
"You asked for me," Leo said.
"Is there anything you're not telling me?" Marcus asked and turned his wheelchair to face Leo. "I thought I made it clear five years ago—" he grunted and raised his brows at him. He pulled out one of his table drawers and threw the photographs on the table, in front of him.
Leo looked at the photographs that were scattered in front of him and fisted his palms on his back. The photos were of him and Anna took at the vacation.
"You were spying over me?" Leo asked in disappointment at his Nonno.
"I sent someone to protect you secretly and this is what I got." Marcus deadpanned. Leo kept silent and clenched his jaw in anger. "Leave her or—"
"I will never leave her again," Leo interrupted him and said in a stoic expression.
"Don't be stupid," Marcus shouted at him. "You know The Absolute." He warned him.
"Put an end to this Absolute," Leo said making Marcus snapped at him in anger. "The Absolute was formed because of your mistake. And you keep on making the mistakes by following the Absolute."
"Why! Why does our generation have to suffer because of your mistakes?"
"You think it was my mistakes," Marcus shouted at him shakily.
"For once, keep aside your pride and ego and reflect back at what has been done because of this stupid rule between our families," Leo said before turning away and walking out of the room.
