Chapter 20: Nuisance
Leo and his brothers were back to their hometown, Italy. As soon as they reached home, they all went to their respective rooms. Leo took off his coat and as he was halfway unbuttoning his shirt, there was a soft knock on his door.
"Come in," he said and heard his door click opened. He snapped his head towards the door and his eyes went wide in shock.
"Ballerina!" He exclaimed and masked his expression to being cold.
"You look good," Ballerina said slyly as her eyes gazed shamelessly on Leo's bared chest. Leo took notice of that and scowled inwardly. He turned away and buttoned his shirt.
"What are you doing here?" Leo faced her and asked.
"I came here to visit my Zia and her family," She shrugged off and smiled at him. "You're not happy to see me," She raised an eyebrow at him. "It's been long since we met,"
"Yeah, long time no see," Leo said lazily and turn away from her, "I'm glad that you're alive."
"I miss you so much Leo," She said. "You know how much I love you right,"
Leo rolled his eyes over in annoyance and snapped his head towards him. "I have told you before and I'm telling you again, I have always treated you as my sister and nothing more." He said nonchalantly and turned away from her, "Now if you'll excuse me, I want to take a rest." He said over his shoulder.
"Okay, take a good rest, I'll see you later, Leo." She said and turned on her heels. Once she was out from his room, Leo let out a deep breath and ran his hand over his hair. He grabbed his towel from the stand and strolled inside the bathroom.
After a long and refreshing shower, Leo came out from the bathroom and saw his mother entering inside. Severina closed the door behind and strolled towards him.
"When did she arrive?" Leo asked before sitting on the bed.
"Yesterday night," Severina answered and stood in front of him. She took the towel from his hand and started to dry his hair.
"Why did she come?" Leo sighed.
"Well, my sons never care to visit their mother's family, so she came to visit me and my family," Severina answered amusedly to which Leo rolled his eyes over and scowled.
"She's head over heels for you," Severina teased.
"I don't like her. I have always treated her as my own sister." Leo said in a serious tone.
"I know," Severina said softly. "But honestly, I was hoping for her to be my daughter-in-law—" Leo snapped his head up and look at her in disbelieve, "—before Anna came into our lives." She completed her words.
"Tell me everything," Severina looked at him.
"We got back together," Leo smiled at her. Severina felt so happy but at the same time, there were worries crawling up for them. "Momma," he hugged her and rested his head on her stomach, "For the past five years, I couldn't forget her neither did she, we both were suffering." He said with so much sadness in his voice. "And when I saw her, I couldn't help but get back to her. I love her so much, Momma."
"I know," Severina said softly.
Then Leo pulled back and looked up at his mother, "I'm going to make things right between our families." He stated.
Severina cupped his both cheeks and smiled down at him, "Do whatever you have to do. I know you will make everything right. I believe in you and I'm always there for you." She said and placed a soft kiss on his forehead.
"Oh, I remember just now—who was that kid?"
"Val!" Leo exclaimed and smiled at her. "He's Anna's son." Severina creased her brows in confusion. "She raised him as her own son."
"So he's adopted!" Severina asked and exclaimed.
"Kind of," Leo said as it was not his position to be telling others the truth about their family.
"Leo!" Alesso rushed in, followed by Roberto and Nicolo.
"What happened?" Leo asked.
"Ba-Ba-Ballerina! She's here," Alesso stuttered and informed him.
"I know," Leo said lazily.
"Why do my sons hate my niece so much?" Severina crossed her arms over her chest and darted between the three sons who were standing by the door.
"I don't hate her," Roberto defended and strolled towards his mother, "But I don't like her either." He added cheekily.
"How long is she staying?"
"I don't know," Severina answered. "But I want you all to be nice to her during her stay here, okay?" She said and the four of them nodded their head reluctantly.
"Take rest, my dear sons. I'll see you at dinner." Severina said and strolled out of the room. Once their mother left and closed the room door, they all sighed in unison before settling on the couch.
"What if she really ends up marrying you?" Alesso said out his thought before leaning against the couch.
"I'll never let that happen," Nicolo shrieked.
"She always threatens to kill other girls who try to hit on you," Roberto said looking at Leo.
"I wonder what will happen if Ballerina comes to know about Tatiana," Alesso wondered and chuckled.
"World war III," Roberto joked and laughed at it.
"But honestly, mafia's women are very scary when it comes to possession," Alesso said looking at Leo.
"Both of the women are bitches. We just have to sit back and watch them kill each other." Roberto said under his laugh.
"What are you going to do, Leo?" Nicolo asked looking at him. "Seems like the women in this world are going crazy for you." He added with a tad of amusement in his voice. Leo simply rolled his eyes over and strolled towards his closet. He pulled out a black t-shirt and put it on. Then he walked out from the closet and joined his brothers on the couch.
"Jokes apart," Roberto said, leaning forward and wearing a serious expression on his face. "If things get serious, it might be taken to 'The Worthy'."
"That will not be good." Alesso said unsmilingly, "If the elders agree for The Worthy, you won't have any choice but to marry the one who wins."
"Anna can take part too." Nicolo blurted out stupidly.
"No," Leo snapped. "That's DOA and I'm never letting Anna get into that sinful Arena."
Then suddenly they heard loud noises from downstairs and quickly got off from their place and ran towards downstairs. There were broken pieces of a flower vessel scattered on the floor of the common hall. And in the middle of it, Jasmine and Ballerina were standing two feet apart and was under intense glaring competition.
"What's going on?" Leo asked sharply and made his way towards them. The women snapped their heads towards him and immediately lowered their gaze on seeing him.
"She started first," Ballerina said glaring at Jasmine.
"Yes, I did." Jasmine snapped, glaring back. "Why don't you take the pleasure in telling the reason behind my action?" she sarcastically spat on the air.
"There's no reason," Ballerina protested.
"Real-ly!" Jasmine rolled her tongue over and glared at her. "Shall I remind you then?" She said and charged forward. Alesso shook his head before strolling towards Jasmine and stopping her by her arm.
"C'mon, let's go," He said and dragged her away from the place.
"Ballerina, go to your room," Leo said lazily without looking at her and gestured one of the maids to clean the mess. Ballerina rolled her eyes over and left the place at once.

"Why did you drag me here? I was not—"
"You're just wasting your time with her." Alesso interrupted and said lazily. And soon Leo appeared on her door with the first kit on his hand and entered inside. He sighed and shook his head looking at Jasmine before sitting beside her on the couch.
"Show me your hand," He gestured towards her hands.
"How did you know?" She asked and extended her right hand towards him.
"I saw some of the blood on the broken pieces." He answered and started to tend her wound. "What happened?"
"She made Rossanne cry. I got angry and charged her and—we got into a fight." She explained.
"You don't stand a chance against her," Alesso said unsmilingly.
"Don't get into fights with her. She's an assassin, a well-trained assassin and she kills." Leo said looking at her.
"Like I care," She muttered under her breath and crossed her arms over her chest in annoyance. Leo chuckled at her and stood up from the place.
"Please avoid fighting with her, okay?" He said with a tad of amusement in his voice.
"Alright," Jasmine pouted, not looking at him.
"Ehh—" Leo cooed and mess with her hair before leaving the room.
"Alesso, teach me how to kill," Jasmine raged in anger before resting her back against the couch.
"Relax, Sister," Alesso said looking at her. "You don't need to do that, your brothers are here to do the dirty works."
"I hate her. I want to bash that sickening face of her." Jasmine gritted under her teeth.
"Just avoid her, like Leo said." Alesso reminded her.
"Does Leo like her?" She asked all of a sudden. Alesso couldn't help but snort loudly at her ridiculous question. "If she ends up being our sister-in-law, I'm never forgiving Leo."
"Calm down, sister dear. Leo hates her more than any of us." Alesso said.
"But if things go to The Worthy, he doesn't have a say there." Jasmine pointed out. "That's what I'm scared of. He's simply rejecting the proposal and the women are going all crazy for him. Why can't they just leave my brother alone?" She fisted her hands in the air in annoyance.
"Woh—you're one tough girl to cool down," Roberto said cheekily and entered inside, and behind him, Nicolo followed suit.
"You look like a ripe tomato ready to turn into a sauce." Nicolo teased, giving her a cheeky smile.
"And I just know how to cool her down," Roberto came behind her and rested his hands on her shoulders. "Wanna go on a date with your brothers?" He offered and smiled down at her. Jasmine lazily rolled her eyes over and smiled.
"So where do you wanna go, m'lady?" Alesso asked with a playful smirked playing on his face.
"I want to have ice-cream," She said with a sly grin. "Let's take Rossanne too, she's not feeling good as well,"
"Alright, let's go then."

Leo stood by the door and watch Rossanne lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Then he softly knocked on her door to which Rossanne turned her attention towards it.
"Fratello," She straightened up from the bed and gave him a tired smile. Leo smiled at her and strolled towards her.
"Are you alright, doll?" he asked and sat beside her on the bed.
"Sorella told you already," She chuckled tiredly.
"What happened?" He asked softly.
"I don't like her—Ballerina. She told me that she's going to marry you and be my sister-in-law and that we'll have a good bonding and this and that," She explained. "I got so annoyed and disagree with her then she started to shout at me." She looked up at him with welled eyes, "Fratello, I don't like her. She's very scary." Leo wiped the tears from her cheeks and pulled her into a hug.
"Don't cry, my doll," He said softly and brushed her hair gently. Then Rossanne pulled back and look up at her brother.
"I don't think I can accept any women as your wife other than Anna," She said. And to her surprised, Leo smiled warmly at her. "You smiled!" She exclaimed. "Is there something you're not telling me? Other days when I talked about her, you would get angry and leave."
"Those were in the past," He chuckled at her. "Promise me you won't tell anyone," he said and Rossanne nodded at him excitedly. Her mood was totally changed into happiness.
"I met her on the Vacation. And yes, we are back together." He said and Rossanne happily hugged her brother.
"I'm so happy right now," She said.
"Wow—someone is very happy right now," Jasmine said and entered inside, followed by the three brothers. "Rossanne, we are going out for ice-cream, wanna tag along?" She offered her to which Rossanne looked at her cheerfully.
"Take care of your sisters," Leo stood up from his place and said to his brothers.
"You're not coming," Rossanne looked at him with pleaded eyes. As Leo was about to speak, he received a call from Alvero.
"Yes," He said over the phone.
"We got the Morgan twins, Boss," Alvero informed.
"Bring them to me, now," He said before hanging up. "Something came up," he said and darted between his brothers before giving an apologetic look at Jasmine.
"It's alright, we can go next time," Jasmine said and sat beside Rossanne.
"Sorry, girls," Leo said and looked at his brothers. "Get ready, we're going to the headquarter. Roberto, call in for the meeting," he informed. And soon the boys left the room.
"Brothers and their works," Jasmine sighed looking at their backs while Rossanne simply giggled at her comment.

"Good morning, dear. Welcome back." Layla greeted and smiled widely when she saw Anna coming towards her way. She excitedly abandoned her position and stood in front of her. "How was your vacation?"
Anna simply chuckled at her actions, "It was good." She answered with a smile.
"I'm happy that you had a good time," Layla said softly and cupped her cheek.
"Okay, I have enjoyed my time, now I have to get on my works," Anna said as she looked around and took a deep breath of the smell of the hospital. "I missed this smell around me." She sighed and her eyes caught towards a woman who was coming from the hallway, a brunette.
"She looks familiar." Anna wandered looking at the lady. The lady looks towards her and caught her staring. Anna blinked twice when the lady smiled at her.
"Anna," The lady smiled and walked towards her.
"Hayley?" She asked in an unsure voice.
"Yes," Hayley smiled at her.
"Long time," She said. "What brought you here? Is everything okay?" She asked in a concerned voice.
"Yup, everything's fine, brought my mother for a regular check-up," Hayley said in a very dulcet manner.
"That's very nice." Anna smiled and glanced at Layla. "Oh—Layla, this is Hayley, my brother's friend and Hayley, this is Layla."
"I met her at the reception." Hayley gave a beautiful smile at Layla.
"Yeah, we met," Layla said.
"I should get going, got some duty to do," Hayley said glancing at her wristwatch. "It was nice meeting both of you, bye."
"Nice meeting you too, have a nice day." Anna waved at her.
"Goodmorning, Senior," Noah came running and greeted Anna cheerfully.
"Goodmorning, Noah." Anna greeted him back. "You're looking very happy today." She raised an eyebrow at him.
"I'm just so happy to see you." He blurted out and quickly bit his tongue. He cringed down and cursed under his breath.
"I'm happy to see you too," Anna said and patted on his shoulder. He scratched his head and gave her a sheepish smile while the two ladies chuckled at his behaviour.
"Okay, now stop chilling and get back to your works," Anna chased them playfully.
"Yes, Director. I'll see you at lunch," Layla chuckled and went back to her position.
"Are you done with your research I gave you?" Anna asked and walked forward.
"Yes, Senior," Noah answered and followed behind.
"Are you ready with the presentation?"
"All ready," Noah answered enthusiastically. Anna turned to face him and gave him a proud smile.
"Make me proud." She said. "Now go and rehearse, I'll see you at the conference hall later." She informed. Noah nodded at him. "Best of luck."
"Thank you, senior." He grinned widely at her and walked away through the other side of the hallway.
Anna made her way inside her cabin and checked on her schedule. She wore on her doctor coat and hung the stethoscope around her neck and went for the ward check-up. She did her duty as usual but this time there were many new patients admitted during her absence. Granny was discharged when she was on vacation. It was already lunchtime when she came back to her cabin from her duties.
"May I come in, dear?" She heard Dr Monroe from the other side of the door and shook her head.
"Come in, teacher." She said. Soon he entered with a lunchbox in his hand.
"My wife sent you lunch. She made your favourite dish." He said and kept it on her table.
"Aww—so sweet of her." Anna cooed. "Tell her I'm so thankful to her," she added.
"My patient was asking for you." He informed and sat on the chair. Anna looked at him and creased her brows in question. "Mr Kazimir." He said to which Anna chuckled and rolled her eyes over.
"What happened to him? Didn't he do his medication recently?"
"He feels weak so he came to me. He wants to be admitted here for some days and get healthy." Dr Monroe informed.
"Kazimir," Anna shook her head in disbelief. "He's so dramatic." She chuckled softly.
"You seems to know him well," Dr Monroe raised an eyebrow at her.
"We met at the wedding again and we got to know each other." She shrugged off.
"Enjoy your lunch dear, I have to do surgery now with my team." Dr Monroe said and stood up from his place.
"Best of luck, Teacher." She wished him to which he smiled at her before leaving the cabin. She spent some minutes reading the reports when suddenly her telephone rings and she picked up.
"Anna, there's a problem here, some gangsters are making a nuisance down here," Layla hushed over the phone.
"I'm coming," Anna said and hung up the call. Immediately she stood up from her place and rushed downstairs.
As she made her way to the hall, she saw people gathering around and between that, she saw a man grabbing Noah by his collar and was about to hit him on the face. Anna quickly reached them and held the man by his wrist.
"Who the hell are you?" The man glared at her. Anna didn't say anything and released the man's hand from Noah's collar.
"You okay, Noah?" She asked looking at him to which Noah added him. Then she snapped her head towards the man, "Why are you creating a scene here? This is a hospital, not your private chill-out zone." She said nonchalantly.
"How dare you?" The man jabbed on Anna shoulder's and glared at her. "Who the hell are you?" He jabbed at her continuously. Anna sighed in annoyance before taking his wrist and twisting it around. The man groaned in pain and attempted to hit her by his other hand. Anna shields it by her other hand and kicked him to the ground. Then her eyes landed on the man in all black suits who was half-conscious sitting on the bed.
"You've been shot," She said and walked towards him.
"Can't you see," The man managed to say.
"Take him to OT," Anna informed the nurses around.
"There's no way I'm getting treated by a woman. Call a male doctor." The man said looking up at her.
"All the doctors are busy and if you want to live, you have to be treated immediately Mister," Anna said.
"Get this woman out of my sight," The man ordered his men. They were four of them.
"Now be a good girl and call the male doctor." The man from earlier pointed his knife towards her and threatened her. Anna quickly disarmed him and kicked him to the ground again. Soon the three men charged her. She couldn't help but fight each of them.
"Enough," She shouted and glared at each man on the ground who were about to get on their knees and fight again. Then suddenly a loud sound of thud came from her side and they all snapped towards it.
"Boss," the men shouted in unison and strolled towards him.
"Nurse," Anna shouted and bent down on his level. "If you want your boss to live, stop messing around and let me treat him." She hissed darting between men. Soon the nurses came with the trolley bed and shifted their boss on it and rolled away.
"You better don't let him die." The man warned Anna as she was about to go.
"You and your men should get treated too," she said gesturing the bruises on their faces and hands before leaving.
Always Smile,
Happy Virus,
