The Free World

The rest of the journey was uneventful and Tiffany was thankful. She was also a lot more comfortable sharing the front seat with Jimmy than she had been with Future. The reason possibly being the fact that she wasn't squished up against the window.

The ride to the underground car park wasn't silent, since the guys were hyped up after narrowly missing out on a trip down to the station. They had been since Jimmy fixed the car laughing, rapping and joking around with each other. However, they died down a little as Jimmy drove the car inside the car park, which wasn't as silent as Tiffany thought it would be.

Rap music filled the rather large concert structure.Peering out the front window she noticed a group of people in a tight circle. Another group of men sat upon the hood of a car, each with the hoods of their jumpers over their heads covering their faces.

Jimmy rolled the car around the parking area before he finally decided on an empty spot to park, which wasn't so far from the group huddled in the middle of the car park. Once he had parked they all moved to get out the car, Tiffany being the final one after Jimmy. Jimmy as soon as he got out of the car turned his hat forward before them covering it with his hood. The action alone caused the young woman to frown at his actions, unsure as to why he appeared to be embarrassed by wearing it the way he had beem all night so far.

''Oh, shit. What the fuck's going on out here?'' Future remarked jokingly as he strolled around the front of the car to stand near Jimmy.

Then once they whole group was together they all begun to move forwards. They slowly approached the group, who Tiffany now realised were rapping. As they walked Jimmy shoved his hands in his pockets and lowered his head, seemingly looking like he didn't want be seen.

''What's up, man? You all right?'' Future asked noticing the change in Rabbit's body language.

To Tiffany it seemed as if he was suddenly very uncomfortable with the surroundings.

''I'm cool,'' he mumbled in reply, but Future and Tiffany both glanced at each other, neither of them believing his stamen to be true.

''You sure?'' She questioned and all she got in reply was a small nod from him.

''Yeah. You the man, Rabbit,'' Cheddar replied taking a swig from a coke bottle that Tiffany had before then failed to notice he even had.

When they reached the group of rappers, Tiffany heard the distinct voice of a woman rapping. The moment the group noticed them they widened the circle to allow them in and watch as the black girl stood in the centre rhyming with her large hoop earrings dangling down, which was the first thing that caught Tiffany's eye.

''Come on, baby, it's redemption time. Come on, man,'' Tiffany smirked as she saw Jimmy roll his eyes at Future's comment.

''He's not going to let it go. You know that right,'' she whispered and he just nodded. She sighed it seemed as if Rabbit had lost his voice in the space of walking from the car to the rap circle.

''313 area. Bomb and bury you with vengeance'
My rhyme sentences will end your resistance with a rigorousness.
I'm serious, delirious
'Cause a curious.
Pause the fury 'cause
Throw my jaws from devouring y'all raw.''

All those in the surrounding group cheered and continued to nod their heads to the beat. The beat coming from a rather large man with gold chains hung around his neck.

''Three One Third, we in the house. Mac Mitten's finest. DJ Iz, let me get that beat, baby. Give me that beat. Hip-Hop Shop, baby. Come on.''

The golden chain guys beat was short lived as Future jumped in the middle of the group, while Iz took up the role of creating the beat. Within seconds Future begun to rap and the group carried on nodding their heads to the beat.

''You forced to listen to the individual, the metaphysical
The Mac Mitten rhyme ritual Heterosexual Syllables sound complex to you
Lines perplexing you
With words that put a hex on you Snap that neck on you
Murder you, boil you
We keep a white boy or two
Let my man grab the mic
See how Bunny Rabbit do.''

Both Jimmy's and Tiffany's eyes widened. Neither were expecting Future to end his rap by trying to get Jimmy to rap after him. Unsure what to do Rabbit looked over at Tiffany as if asking for confirmation if he should jump in or not. In the end it was Cheddar who forced Jimmy into the group, by using all the strength he had to push Rabbit into the middle of the rap circle.

''Come on, man. Come on, man. Kick that shit, baby. Come on. Come on. Watch that nigga kick this shit. Speed it up a little bit, Iz. Come on, baby,'' Future muttered the last part under his breath as he watched Jimmy stand silently in the middle of the ring.

Cheddar was unfazed a huge grin on his face from shoving his friend. While Jimmy licked his lips nervously before he finally opened his mouth to star speaking. He voice to start with was soft and quiet.

''All right, look. Yo. Yo.
Your style's generic
Mine's authentic made
I roll like a renegade
You need clinic aid.
My technique's bizarre and ill I scar and kill."

But as he gained confidence he got louder. The more confident he became the more Tiffany couldn't stop the grin for inching it's way onto her face.

You were a star until I served you like a bar and grill
As I cook and grill ya
That's all it took to kill ya
You better recognize me like
I look familiar
Want to battle?"
You beat around the bush Like you're scared to lick pussy so you eat around the tush.''

The last line practically caused a loud whoop and laughter from the rest of the group.

Just from the crowds reaction and Jimmy's rhymes Tiffany could tell that things for their gang were already picking up, espically after what happened the night before at the Shelter.

''I need a clown to push
Someone I can bully
Wait, I don't think you understand fully
Me without style Is like mustard without Heinz
I lead the new school
You're a Busta without the Rhymes
I'll crush the shit out your lines.''

His short pause was all it took for Sol to jump in and begin to rap, his accent was funny and Tiffany found it hard to understand what he was actually saying. Although that didn't stop her from joining in with the chanting and dancing which had occurred throughout the group.

''Ten freaky girls Ten, ten, ten freaky girls,'' suddenly the fun stopped when Future mumbled a curse under his breath as he noticed a very familiar group of men.

Sol was unaware of the approaching group and only stopped his dancing when Iz slapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. Tiffany gulped as she too recognised who the group were. Noticing her distress Rabbit stood next to her wrapping his arm around her waist to bring her close.

The guy who was in front of his friends had had a cigarette in his mouth, but was long gone once he dropped it on the ground extinguishing it with his foot. He smirked as the once loud group fell silent. His eyes wandered over each of them. His gaze perhaps staying on Tiffany longer than was necessary, causing her to look down at her grubby converse shoes, not wanting to make eye contact with the man.

He gave one last smirk before he turned and leaped on the hood of the car behind him, then proceeded to shout his arms spread wide in front of him,''Look, man. Listen up now. Leadaz Of Tha Free World in the motherfuckin' house. Me and Papa Doc will battle any motherfuckers here.''

Papa Doc stood next to the car, his black cap shielding his face from those in front of him. He nodded his head and simply said one word that sent shivers down Tiffany's spine as he stared directly at her, ''Yeah.''

''Fuck Tha Free World,'' Future whispered to Rabbit who nodded and stayed silence, although perhaps someone should have told Cheddar to be quiet as he shouted rather loudly:

''Yeah. Fuck Tha Free World!'' Tiffany groaned leaning her head in exasperation against Jimmy's shoulder as his arm still hung around her waist.

''Fuck Tha Free World?'' The man scoffed as he repeated what Cheddar had said, ''You Three One Third bitches is wack. You fuckin with LC?'' He added as he let his eyes wander over each on of the again.

''Yo, fat-ass!'' He shouted and nodded towards Sol, who shifted his eyes down to his feet as LC begun to rap,

''Talking about your man Sol
I kick you in the chest
Pork chops fall out your asshole
You cats is pussy
Soft like wet flowers
Leadaz Of Tha Free World
Here to smash you cowards.''

There was dead silence once he'd finished and his travelled over towards Future.

''Don't start,'' Future mumbled.

''What are you going to do, faggot?'' LC taunted and Tiffany wished he'd shut up and just leave already because she could tell nothing good was going to come out of the interaction,

''Who you calling a faggot?'' Future growled out.

''Don't play yourself, bitch,'' Papa Doc spoke up as he brought the cigarette out of his mouth flicking the end of it so the ash landed by Future's feet.

''What is their problem?'' Tiffany mumbled towards Jimmy, who just shock his head as a sign that she should stay quiet.

Unfortunately Papa Doc had seen her lips moving, ''got a problem English.''

Jimmy stepped forward pulling Tiffany behind him slightly. The move, however, failed to go unnoticed.

''Hold on,'' LC commented holding his hands out in front of himself in some sort of I'm going to speak now gesture,''Yo, Elvis. You don't want to step to this,'' He spoke a grin stretched wide across his face ''You need to take that white ass rap back across 8 Mile. Caught your choke act at The Shelter last night,'' he started laughing as he put his hands around his neck mimicking chocking.

''Jimmy,'' Tiffany's shout was lost in the rush of adrenaline that flowed straight through his body. Rabbit launched forward grabbing LC by the legs and pulling him down, his back hitting the bonnet of the car with a loud thud.

''Oh, shit!'' Future exclaimed as The Free World launched forward and within seconds everyone in the car park was locked in a battle of punches and kicks.

Tiffany overwhelmed by what was happened tried to scramble away from the carnage. She had after some struggling ended up outside the circle of fighting and sighed a mixture of relief and annoyance as the fight continued.

''What are you doing? Put the shit down,'' Winks voice caught her attention, she turned to where it was coming from and her eyes grow as she noticed the gun Papa Doc had pulled out from under his clothes.

''Come on,'' but Papa Doc continued to struggle against Wink. Which was when she decided to do something that could have only been seen as incredibly stupid, she approached the struggling men.

''Are you out of your fuckin mind?'' both of them stopped when she spat out the words and out of pure shock Papa Doc shoved the gun back in his trousers.

''He wasn't gonna use it,'' Wink stuttered out.

As the interaction between the three took place the fight begun to come to a halt as they noticed Papa Doc was no longer anywhere near the fray.

''Yo, Iz, it's cool. It's cool,'' Wink calmed the DJ down as he approached to three of them his arms raised.

''Yeah I'm fine,'' Tiffany reassured him by giving a small smile. Although that didn't stop Jimmy from appearing behind her and pulling her away by her wrist.

''Yo, come on, man. Let's go,'' Papa Doc shouted as he cleared his throat, ''Come on,'' he repeated since nobody moved the first time.

Once The Free World had finally disbanded and moved away, Tiffany, Rabbit, Future, Iz, Cheddar Sol also moved to walk away.

''I should fuck you up, Cheddar,'' Future  muttered a tinge of anger evident in his tone.

''What the fuck were you thinking?'' Sol spoke up shaking his head,''fuck Tha Free World?''

''Future said it!'' Cheddar shouted in protest.

''You shouldn't have shouted it,'' Tiffany pointed out.

''Yeah and not to mention everything you shouldn't have done,'' Jimmy turned to glare down at her. His hand still fixed tightly around her wrist.

''I stopped the fight didn't I,'' she replied innocence riddled in her argument.

''Yeah by nearly killin yourself in the process,'' Jimmy snapped back.

''Wink was there,'' she argued.

''Never ever trust Wink Tiff. Just don,'' Future was the one to speak this time, his words ending the argument.

Tiffany sighed as Jimmy kept his grip around her wrist tight as he continued to pull her away from where the fight had just occurred. She feared the night couldn't get any worse. Oh how wrong she was.
