I made my way up to my old bedroom. It was bare, cold, and nothing but dead lady bugs on the windowsill filled the room. It was empty, just like my mother before I went to prison. The aroma was another story. It smelled like dog piss and I had to cover my nose immediately when I entered. It was like the last time she was in my room  was when I was moving out. After I set my things down and brought in my bed. I'm 41 and living in my mother's home. She then knocked on my door.

"Come in!" I yelled.

She opened the door and smiled. "Just like the old days. And I have something to say. I'm giving you the house. Your grandmother is making me come live with her in the nursing home."

I reply, "What about grandpa?"

She shook her head. "He died six years ago, in a car crash, because of a drunk driver."

I then walk over to my closet, and find a box, and when I open it, my heart sinks. It's all of Kian and I's memories. Cards, pictures, letters. Tears start to fall, and soon enough I'm all alone. One big house to myself, my favorite thing.

Today's the day I see Oliver after twenty-five years. When I get to the hospital, they direct me to his room. When I enter, my world starts to crumble. Another man is kissing my boyfriend, and we didn't even break up.

"Hello Oliver!" I say.

The man turns around and whispers to Oliver, "Who the hell is this?"

Oliver mutters back, "An old friend. Tyler! I don't think today is the right time. My boyfriends here, and being your ex boyfriend, doesn't bring much happy energy into the room."

The man stands up, "You heard him, get out! He's my husband, not your boyfriend. Now go!"

I run out of the room like a tidal wave is heading for me. My emotions felt like a tidal wave. My tears could flood a city. When I got home, I ran upstairs to my room, and found some rope. I tied it, and soon snapped it around my neck. Right as I kicked the chair, Avery ran in.

"Tyler!" She panicked.

She rushed to cut the rope down, and saved my life.

"What the hell. Tyler, why? I came to catch up, since you've been in jail. I've missed you!" She cries.
