movie day; one shot
Casey grinned to himself as he walked the halls of the institute. He had accumulated the perfect day within his head and had then proceeded to fabricate it until it became reality. That day consisted of Alec, himself and a ton of food and mundane movies.
He spied Alec speaking with Jace and scurried forward, placing his hands over Alec's eyes. He heard him laugh and his body relaxed from his tense state and Casey spoke.
"Guess who?" He teased and Jace couldn't hide his grin as he watched the couple interact.
"The brunette who I suppose I'm in love with?" Alec joked and Casey huffed playfully as he stood beside him, lightly slapping his chest.
"You're an ass." He mumbled and Jace snorted.
"You love my ass." Alec retorted, winking as him. Casey blushed and pouted. "I had a very good reason to be here, but I'm not sure I want to be anymore." Casey huffed and turned to leave but Alec lightly grabbed his waist and pulled him to his chest.
Resting his chin upon Casey's shoulder he said, "Aw Casey love I'm sorry. What is it?"
The ebony haired boy giggled, happy that he had gotten his attention. "I want you watch all the mundane movies I told you about."
"Casey," Alec groaned. "I want to but I have work to do."
"I've got it covered Alec." Jace promised his parabatai and Casey smiled gratefully at the golden haired boy.
"Well now you have no excuses." Casey grinned at his boyfriend before grabbing his hand and tugging him to the room the Institute had given him.
"Have fun, but not too much fun because as much as I love the both of you I really don't need to be chief babysitter anytime soon." Jace hollered as the couple made their way through the corridor.

Upon entering Casey's room, Alec saw the numerous DVD cases that were laid on the bed across from the large flat screen TV. Casey leapt onto the bed, grinning like a child on Christmas morning. He picked up a handful of the cases and patted the other side of the bed, gesturing for Alec to sit there.
Her eyes scanned each movie title as Alec sat beside him, crisscrossing his long legs. Casey turned to his boyfriend and held up the multiple movies, the grin still etched upon his face.
"So we have; Mean Girls, Elf, The Fault in our stars, Star Wars, Captain America, The Winter Soldier and Alice in Wonderland. Which do you wanna watch first?" Casey questioned, looking up at Alec.
"Whatever one you want." Alec murmered lovingly as he leaned over Casey's shoulder and pressed a kiss to his collarbone. Casey lightly pushed Alec away as he continued to pepper kisses along Casey's neck.
"No Alec, none of that." Casey chastised and Alec pouted. "Just choose a movie." He laughed.
Alec pursed his lips as his hazel eyes glazed over the covers, deliberating his choice. Finally he spoke, "The Fault in our stars."
Casey laughed almost bitterly as he reached forward and shoved the dvd into the dvd player before flopping backwards beside Alec who had sprawled himself across the bed when he had moved.
"Prepare yourself for tears." Casey mumbled as Alec pulled her to his chest, the two cuddling as the opening credits rolled.
"I don't cry at things like that. Especially not mundane movies." The raven haired boy stated matter of factly. Casey snorted and shook his head. "Oh Alec, so naive. TFIOS is not just a mundane movie."
"Wait, I thought we were watching the fault in our stars." Alec commented, crinkling his nose in confusion. "What's TFIOS?"

"No." Alec shouted as he stared at the black screen as the movie had finished. He turned to Casey, tears forming in his hazel eyes. "Gus can't be dead. No."
"Sorry hun, that's the ending." Casey shrugged, used to the pain both the movie and book had caused him many times over. "Could've been worse. I could have made you read the book. There's no real warning that's he's gonna die - you know the cancer's back but at the beginning of the chapter the first line is 'eight days later Gus died'. Bam, he's gone. God I cried so much my mum had to hug me and tell me it was only a book."
"Why did you make me watch that?" He demanded, a crease forming between his eyebrows.
"Technically I never made you watch anything." Casey corrected. "You chose the movie."
Realising that Casey was right, Alec frowned and lay back down beside Casey. He rested his head in the crook of his neck and sighed, his breath tickling Casey's neck. "You choose the next movie." He mumbled, his voice slightly muffled.
"Okay." Casey laughed and rifled through the movie pile. "We'll watch Elf." He declared and Alec raised his head, arching an eyebrow as he saw the middle aged man on the front cover dressed in a Christmas elf suit.
"It's not even Christmas." Alec pointed out and Casey rolled her eyes.
"What's your point?"
