"Except when I go up in flames, so does any hope of you finding your precious book." Camille laughed bitterly as Clary held her seraph blade over her neck.
"Enough." Casey roared and even Camille looked slightly shocked as the floor beneath them shook every so slightly. It was the first time Casey had spoken since they had left and eveyone could see the fury within his eyes.
"You Simon are going to sign that stupid document because if we don't this little bitch is not going to do anything for us. Not signing it won't change anything. It won't change that your a vampire and it certainly won't change what just happened with Raphael." Casey spat and Camille smiled.
"Oh I forgot about your little friendship with Raphael. You know, I've known him for many years and I've never seen him treat anyone the way I've seen him treat you. He cares deeply for you. Oops sorry, I should probably say 'cared' considering what just happened."
Casey turned to face Camille and stepped closer to her. "You are going to shut the hell up you stone cold bitch. I will get Raphael back."
"Doubt it." Camille sang and Casey felt his stomach drop, but he didn't let his face show it. He grabbed Camille's arm and pushed her forward. "Show us where to find this document."

The group entered Magnus' home and Clary lagged behind in an attempt to speak with her brother. "Casey I-"
"I don't want to hear it Clary. Before all this you never lied to me, not once. Now it just seems that's the only thing you can do. And now because of it I've lost Raphael."
"Camille was our only hope." Clary objected.
"But you didn't need to do what you just did. Simon has now been shunned and he needs Raphael. He's a newborn Clary and who do you think is going to help him? Camille? No. It was Raphael who saved Simon and showed him that he could still be him even as a vampire. And what does he get in return? You betray his trust and break our alliance."
Clary shrugged her shoulders. "Casey I don't know why you're making a big deal of this. He's a vampire. Our mum is our mum."
"He's not just a vampire Clary, that's what you don't understand. He's my friend! He was there for me when Simon died, he was there for me through everything with dad and Alec. He was the one who told me not to let Alec go." Casey's voice showed the pain he was feeling and a wave of guilt engulfed Clary as she saw the heartbreak on her brothers face.
"Casey I'm sorry. I don't know what else to say."
"There's nothing else you can say Clary. But if I find out you've lied to me about something else..." The eldest sibling trailed off before finishing his sentence firmly. "I don't know if I'll be able to trust you again."
And with those words Casey walked over to the farthest corner of the room and sat down, only wanting Alec in that moment. He watched Magnus prepare the document, Camille buzzing around him like a wasp and Casey felt his loathing for the vampire grow with each second. His eyes widened as Camilled kissed Magnus for no apparent reason but Alec and Isabelle walked in a moment later and Casey felt his whole body relaxed.
He bounded over to him and Alec instinctively wrapped his arms around his waist, smiling slightly. "You okay?" He asked softly as he clung to him. He felt Casey shake his head and he sighed. "What happened?"
"I lost Raphael." Casey mumbled into the shoulder of Alec's leather jacket. Alec stepped back and looked down at his boyfriend. He placed his hand on Casey's cheek and Casey smiled at his touch. "You'll get him back." He promised and Casey pouted. "Stop pouting." He laughed and kissed him softly, coincidentally causing the pout to diappear as he pressed his lips against his.
"Oh young love." Camille sang sarcastically.
Alec's smile morphed into a scowl as he saw Camille and subconsciously he pulled Casey towards him in a protective manner causing Casey to almost laugh.
"Where's the book?" He demanded and Magnus looked incredibly awkward as he responded for her. "Camille had so kindly offered to give us the book but she wants a document that clears her of her crimes."
"We don't negotiate with prisoners." Alec chastised.
"I beg to disagree." Camille sighed and Magnus made eye contact with Casey. He raised his right hand and held it by his temple, moving his index finger in a circular manner. Casey grinned at the warlock and Magnus winked in response. "I'm your only chance at saving the world. You need me."
---
"I thought the underground parking was nice." Simon whispered to Casey and the elder boy arched an eyebrow. He wasn't mad at Simon, he would quite literally burn down the world if Clary asked him to. They advanced into the next room which was even bigger than the previous one. Shelves lined the walls, hundreds of books stacked side by side.
"You have a lot of books." Alec commented, surveying the room.
"I have a lot of time on my hands." Camilled replied, shrugging her shoulders causing her wavy hair to tumble down her back.
Alec, Isabelle and Magnus left to check the perimeter while Casey stayed with Simon and Clary. Not necessarily because he wished to spend more time with his sister, but rather he didn't want to leave Camille alone for a minute. Simon and Clary weren't enough.
"Why do you have this place if you live at hotel du mort?" Clary inquired as she rifled through the many rows of books.
"The hotel du mort has too many rules." Camilled replied simply. She walked over to Simon and pricked his finger with a quill, beconing him forward. "On the dotted please." Camille smiled sweetly and Simon scrawled his name before handing the document to Camille who then passed it to another vampire behind her.
"We did what you asked now give us the book." Clary demanded and Casey tilted his head. "Technically Simon did what she asked." Casey corrected and his sister gave him a 'really?' look to which Casey shrugged.
"I'd love to." She smiled. "But I have no idea where it is."
"Dot gave it to you." Clary objected.
"It's hidden." Casey announced and Camille nodded. "Such a smart little shadowhunter. I can see why Raphael liked you so much."
"Let's just find this goddamn book and get out of here." Casey spat.
"Have fun." Camille laughed. "I have four more rooms just like this one."
---
Casey ran alongside Clary who held the book of the white in her arms, following Simon and Isabelle. The book had been glamoured to look like a cookbook their mother had always used which was very clever.
They entered the next room which was identical to the previous one expect the doorway had purple mist, indicating a portal had been created. Casey waited to see who it was. His breath caught in his throat as Valentine entered, two circle members flanking him.
"Dad?" He said softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
