Time skip:- 1 week

It's time thought as he was walking through the village, today was the day, teni's birthday, naruto had butterflies in his stomach, he hadn't seen teni today yet but he couldn't stop thinking about what might happen when he told her, his mind was fast forwarding all the scenarios that could take place. Right now he was walking through the town trying to find a present for teni, he didn't have much money, just a bit that he had saved up from the pocket money that the hokage gave him. Just to put it out there he wasn't looking like himself which is to say that he had transformed into a brown haired boy with black eyes because he knew that none of the shops would sell him anything if they knew that he was the 'kyuubi demon brat'.

He saw a jewelry shop to his left and on display was a red pendant in the shape of a heart, it was hung on a silver thin chain. It was in one word beautiful. Once naruto saw it he knew that he had found the perfect gift for teni, he just hoped that he had enough cash to buy it.

Where teni is at

Meanwhile teni was in her room, she had woken up a few hours ago but hadn't got up from her bed, it was her birthday! But more importantly, today was the day she was going to confess to naruto, she was almost having second thoughts, she was so nervous, but she had to.

So she got up and took a wash and opened her wardrobe to find a nice dress, she wanted the perfect dress for today. She looked at her clothes and soon found what she was looking for. A black long sleeveless gown, it was one of her favourite colours, next to red. She put on a matching heels, it wasn't her usual style, normally she would be much more comfortable wearing a pair of trousers and a T-shirt but today was special, not just because it was her birthday. But she didn't exactly know how to tell him, so she went to her mother's for help.

"Hey mom" she said as she went into the kitchen.

"Oh yeah teni, happy birthday" said her mom without looking at her "wait a minute I'll be there in a sec"

Her mom was baking a cake for her daughter. It was her birthday after all. Teni's mother after putting the cake into the oven turned back to face her little girl, and what she saw took her breath away, teni was wearing a long black gown that was complimenting her figure very well while it also brought out her eyes and hair. She was also wearing a pair of heels, she looked.... mesmerizing.

"My darling, you look, beautiful" said her mother as she hugged her.

"Thanks mom...... Umm.....I'm telling him" said teni a bit shyly, her mom was always a bit strange when she brought up the topic of her secret crush.

"Really? Well finally" said her mother, teni's mom was always a bit annoyed that she didn't tell her who the mystery boy was but, she trusted her daughter.

"Yeah......I was wondering ............ can you like give me a bit of advice" she asked.

"Of course darling, though I don't think anyone will be able to say no to you looking like that." Said her mother pointing at teni.

Teni giggled before asking her mother "how do you think I should tell him?"

"Well darling, when the time comes the words will come to you automatically, you can exactly prepare for this with a speech"

Teni nodded, even though her mother was a bit weird when she talked about this she had to expect her mother was an expert.

Where naruto is at

Naruto had bought the necklace, surprisingly enough it wasn't as expensive as he had thought. Now he had the problem of what to wear, all he ever wore mostly was his orange jumpsuit, not that he liked it but it was the only thing he could buy, the man at the cloth shop was a former ninja and could see through his transformation easily and wouldn't sell him anything except this jumpsuit. But he knew today the jumpsuit wouldn't cut it, he needed something better, but he didn't know what, so he had to ask the only other guy he was friends with.

He went to his house, the uchiha compound and knocked on sasuke's door.

"Come in" said sasuke.

Sasuke was reading a book on his bed, and didn't look up as naruto came in,

"It's teni's birthday" said naruto, sasuke knew all about naruto and teni,

"And?" Asked sasuke

"Well, I'm gonna tell her" said naruto his cheeks getting a bit red,

"Now you're talking" said sasuke as he smiled and kept the book aside

"And I was wondering if you had something I could wear" asked naruto from sasuke who was already at his own wardrobe.

Sasuke was a bit reserved, but when you got to know him, he was like any other guy.

"Here" said sasuke as he took out a black suit and handed it to naruto who just looked at the suit confused "what are you waiting for dobe? Go dress" commanded sasuke.

Sasuke had trying to get naruto to confess for a while now, and he wasn't going to let the opportunity slip.

Naruto took the suit and went into the washroom and changed. Surprisingly enough the suit fitted perfectly. He then went out and showed it to sasuke.

"Oh my god, you look better in it than I do, she'll never say no to that man" said sasuke slapping naruto on the back.

He was saying the truth, the suit fit him quite tightly, and due to the training he did naruto's muscles were a bit above average, and you could easily see that he had muscles from the suit.

"Hey you're coming to the party right?" Asked naruto from sasuke.

There was a party this evening, teni's birthday party,

"Wouldn't miss it for the world dobe" said sasuke with a smile.

"Thanks......duckbutt" said naruto as he walked out with the suit in his hands, he had changed from the suit back into his normal attire.

Later that day

Naruto had bought some roses, red of course and washing wearing the suit that sasuke lent to him, sasuke was on his left, also wearing a similar suit, right at this moment they were walking towards teni's house for he birthday party. They got there, and sasuke knocked on the door. Teni's mom opened it,

"Oh, sasuke, so glad you could make it, please come in" she didn't even acknowledge naruto's existence, she was one of those people who hated him for having that demon in him, partly because her husband had died by that demons hands.

Both of the boys walked in, the place was a bit crowded, thee were kids their age all over the place, naruto had no idea that teni had so many friends. He looked around until his eyes fell on the moat beautiful person in the room (in his eyes), teni. He walked over,

"Hey teni, happy birthday" said naruto as he gave her the roses.

"Thank you naruto, their beautiful" she said as she looked at the roses.

Teni blushed, he brought roses! She thought. Then naruto pulled her close and whispered,

"Hey, after the party, come to the top of the statue, I wanna tell you something"

This made teni frown, she was about to say the same thing to him, she wondered what naruto wanted to tell her.

After this naruto went in search of sasuke, sasuke was in a corner with a drink in his hand, non-alcoholic obviously because this was a kids party and there was no alcohol, he was being...... reserved though it was clear he was looking at one person in particular, a pink haired girl, naruto had never seen her before, but from the way that sasuke was looking at her he knew, sasuke liked the girl.

"Soo, the great sasuke uchiha finally decides to checkout a girl huh?" Asked naruto teasingly as he walked towards sasuke with a drink with n his hand.

"W-what? No!" Exclaimed sasuke as he quickly averted his gaze from the pink haired girl to the ground.

"So, who's pinkette?" Asked naruto pointing at the girl sasuke was just looking at.

"How would I know?" Sasuke had changed into his monotone voice, trying not to let his feeling show.

"Well I guess I'll have to find out myself" naruto said as he started waking towards the pink haired girl.

"Hey, nice to meet ya, naruto uchiha" said naruto addressing the pink haired girl in front of him.

"Sakura haruno, hey aren't you the boy that everyone avoids, why are you here, it's only by invite" said Sakura.

"Oh, yeah well I'm guessing my brother has something to do with that, sasuke uchiha" said naruto pointing at sasuke who was looking at them but soon sasuke pretended as if he was looking at something else.

Sakura, looked at naruto, then at sasuke and at naruto again,

"Brother?, but you look nothing like each other"

"So I've been told, I'm adopted" said naruto.

"Oh, that explains it, well anyways, gotta go" said Sakura as she quickly walked away to her friends.

"Not a bad choice" said naruto as he approached sasuke.

"W-what do ya mean?" Asked sasuke trying to act dumb, but failing miserably.

"Oh, come on, out with it" naruto slapped his back.

"OK OK, she's kinda cute" said sasuke quietly.

"Haha, I knew it, now go get her tiger" said naruto as he pushed sasuke towards the crowd.

Sasuke stumbled a bit before starting to walk away from naruto. Naruto sat on a chair with his drink in hand and just stayed there, there was no one here that really knew him, except for teni and sasuke, everyone else was ordered to avoid him, so he would make it easier by staying away from them.

The party ended after a couple of hours, and now sasuke and naruto were walking away, sasuke with his coat removed and slung over his shoulder while naruto just stayed the same.

"So, did ya talk to her?" Asked naruto

"Who?" Asked sasuke trying to act like he didn't know what naruto was talking about.

"You know who, the pinkette" said naruto teasingly.

"N-no, I didn't, I cant" said sasuke stuttering, his cheeks getting a bit red when mentioning Sakura.

"Wow, the girl that makes sasuke uchiha blush, damn, I would pay good money to see that" said naruto chuckling.

"Shut up! Anyway don't you have a girl waiting for you?" Asked sasuke.

Naruto suddenly stopped, "oh my god, I forgot" he said as he quickly dashed away.

Sasuke face palmed as he watched naruto jump from building to building towards the hokage statues.

When naruto got to the statues t no was already there,

"Oh, there you are, I thought you forgot" said teni smiling.

Naruto scratched the back of his neck nervously before replying " yeah, I almost did"

Teni laughed, she knew he would forget, naruto was always like that, he tended to forget a lot of things.

"Naruto"
"Teni"

They both said at the same time. Then they both laughed after a brief mention awkward silence.

"You go first" said teni.

"Well, OK.... here it goes, teni..... I like you, I've always liked you, you're so beautiful and smart and kind" said naruto.

This surprised teni to no end, she was about to say the same thing to him.

"I get it if you don't feel the same way, I guess no-one can love someone like me" said naruto as he saw teni's reaction.

"Don't say that, naruto, you are not a monster, I love you too" said teni as she pulled him into a hug.

It was naruto's turn to be surprised, he couldn't believe it, she liked him too,

"Wait, I got you something" said naruto as he pulled out of the hug and started searching his pockets until he found what he was looking for, a small black jewelry box which he handed to teni.

Teni looked at the box and then at naruto before opening the box.

"Eeeeek!" A loud screech was heard "naruto it's beautiful, thank you thank you thank you!" She screamed as she wrapped her arms around naruto.

Naruto then took the necklace from teni and told her to turn around and proceeded to put the necklace. After putting it he turned her around to see how it looked on her, when he suddenly found an urge to kiss her, then he pulled her into a long passionate kiss.
