I sat looking at the window in class, I have good grades so I don't really pay attention. I was in the back so the teacher doesn't really pick me, as always. I watched the birds go by in the sky, all in a group. I want be like them, but I'm a loner. "Hey, Rin. Do you want to eat with me at lunch today?" My friend Yuki asked. Confused, I agreed and gathered up my stuff. We walked to my locker and talked about the weirdest things we could think of. Usually I'm alone, but Yuki decided to join me. Yuki is a sweet girl, so she's popular. She is usually pulled by other people in school for something. She has light purple eyes and white hair with some purple, blue, and pink in her hair. We then made our way down to the cafeteria and as usual, people were there to pick her up. "Hey, Yuki. Wanna eat with us today?"

"No, I'm sorry. I'm eating with my friend."

"Your eating with this loner? Just forget about her, she's nothing."

"No, she's not. Stop doing that."

"What, I'm stating the truth, bitch."

"Don't call her that!!" I yelled at the bully.

"Yes!! I did so stop!"
I yelled, I watched him look at me angrily and walk towards me. Next thing I knew that my cheek was in pain and my face was on the ground. The boy and his group them kicked me in the ground, for talking back. I heard Yuki yelling at them to stop, but they ignored her. It was about a minute when Yuki pulled their leader away and told him to stop when they walked off. She knelt down by me and I knew she felt horrible. i got up and ran off to the bathroom, crying. I cried on the wall by the door and Yuki came in behind me. She sat down right by me, her head hanging. "Yuki... why are you so nice to me...? I asked after a minute of silence . In the corner of my eye I saw her surprised, small tears in the corner of the sad eyes.

"I...I like you as a friend. Your nice and not like everyone else who gossips. Your kind to me and respect me and what I look like."

"But, I get you into fight because of me. Do you not care for me because of that? Do you want to stop all the fights with me."

"I do care about you!! If I didn't I would've Let you be and let them kick the life out of you! Or I would've left you to be alone as always or I wouldn't be your friend!! If I didn't care for you I would leave you alone and won't help you at all! Stop thinking lowly if yourself and thinking that I hate you, Rin!" Yuki yelled, tears streaming down her face.

"I'm sorry Yuki." I apologized. She was probably upset with me and didn't respond. Yuki got up, and I thought she was going to leave me alone. But instead she came back and wiped all the tears and dry blood off my face. "Lets act like this never happened, Ok?" She asked.

"Alright." I responded. She wiped her tears off her face and we both went to lunch. We spent the rest of the school day talking on our free time or getting supples out of our lockers.

"The teacher kept telling the class today that there is a new kid tomorrow."

"Really? Their probably going to be a popular kid by the end of the day."

"Yea, it happens with everyone."

Me and Yuki waved good bye and went different ways. Once I got home, I started on my homework and played with my cat. The whole time I kept thinking what the new kid was going to be like tomorrow.
