She went to the little garden and sat down to take a breather. He came in.

Nana : hey Shadow Demon.

Shadow Demon just nodded.

Nana : always so quiet.

Shadow Demon: Garlis say I talk to him and you the most.

" rubbish. You know... At first I thought you sounded a lot like someone I knew. Someone... I love. But he's dead. So you couldn't be him. " She walked down the stairs and he followed. She reached the garden , took up the watering can and started her watering duties.

Shadow Demon : so many plants.

" They're doing ok. Seeing I don't really tend them. The water sprinklers works quite well I guess. Sighs " She waters.

Shadow Demon: why sigh ?

Nana : Neva gave me this... It's... A boring purple flower . Blooms big. But... Not my kind of flower. No practicality. Difficult to grow.

Shadow Demon: you don't like him because he doesn't know you.

" I guess. " She goes to the bench and sits down . She looks to him as if waiting for him to seat. So he did.

Nana : Shadow Demon. You always protect me. No matter where I go. Even though I don't need it.

Shadow Demon: it's my job.

Nana : you're supposedly Neva's guard right ?

Shadow Demon: I found someone better and suited for him . I wanted to stay here more. To protect the kids and you.

Nana : you like the kids that much ?

Shadow Demon kept quiet.

Nana : will you be sad ? If I died one day. Miss me maybe.

Shadow Demon : how about Joy ?

Nana : he'll be fine. Like his sister. The house and others will take care of him.

Shadow Demon: Garlis takes care of you. I protect you.

" Shadow Demon... " She lies down onto his lap " you're nice." She shift and lies on her arm looking inwards " but that's not what I mean. It's just I... I'm tired. Someone's I don't know why I do, what I do . "

Shadow Demon: you used to save people.

Nana : I used to kill people too. I don't want any of those anymore...

" nana..." He whispered under his breath.

Nana ; what ?

" Nothing." He stood up and opened his phone " I've got to go." And he left.

Garlis walked in as Shadow Demon left " Lady."

Nana : miss.

Garlis: miss. Are you returning back today ?

Nana : um... To see Joy and Ilise.

" Shadow Demon !! " Garlis yelled. Garlis throws a punch, the surroundings vibrate like an echo.

A shadow shield was met with his punch, but it shatters like glass. Easily and it reaches Shadow Demon's cheek. Shadow Demon flies a distance and grabbed onto ground as he slides

He stood up and spits out a tooth or two .

Garlis : how could you ?!!!

Shadow Demon: what ?

Garlis : that is Miss Nana !!!

Shadow Demon just stares back.

Garlis : you can't do that to her !! Don't pretend you don't understand !! She's... You can't seduce her !!

Shadow Demon; I never did anything.

Garlis : then you should have just rejected her . When she laid her head onto your lap!

Shadow Demon ; Nana...

" How dare you just..." Garlis charges forward with his fist. He throws a punch but Shadow Demon merely dodges backwards slightly and grabs onto his wrist " I let you hit me just now."

Garlis ; you want to break it ?

Shadow Demon let's go and pushes him back slightly " you're one of the few I consider my friends "

Garlis : hmph.

Shadow Demon; I love Nana. That's why I'll always protect her. That man, doesn't deserve her.

Garlis : that's not...

Shadow Demon: I know you worked for him since you were young. But you are you. Your rules don't apply to me.

Garlis : so what ?!! You're going to just... Continue this ? And what ? Hope an affair comes out of this ?

" don't know. " Shadow Demon takes out his phone and looks " I've got to go." And he leaves

So she did return back to where Neva stayed that night. But she didn't make a big fuss as she didn't want to wake the entire household.

The next morning, she went to see the kids. She was surprised to see ilise and joy sleeping in the same room , on the same bed. She knew they were close. But not this close. They were so cute and she didn't want to wake them up.

She strokes both of their heads " It's worth it. Fighting for you kids"

Then ilise woke up and opens her eyes slightly" ... Mama ? Is that mama ? Mama !!" She sits up and crosses over joy " you're home !!"

Joy woken up because of the sound " mama !!"

She hugs both kids. Her joy is now a toddler and her ilise had grown a bit more bigger. Now ilise is taller than her.

Nana : how have you guys been ?

Ilise ; I really took care of joy like I promised !

Nana : good girl.

Ilise : you'll stay for only one week again ?

Joy ; can you stay longer this time ?

Nana : I'll stay forever. Not going back to the army ever again.

Joy : really?

" Really . " And kisses both of them on their heads.

The two of them stuck to her on the bed like that for a little while. They didn't want her to leave at all.

She returns back to her room " hmm... Stupid. Shouldn't have bought something so at least I can bribe him."

" Bribe who ?"

She turns around " Neva. You."

Neva ; that's mean. We're husband and wife. You don't need to bribe me.

Nana : our marriage is a transaction.

Neva : at first. Not anymore to me.

Nana : you'll make Edness sad.

Neva ; I can love two people at the same time.

Nana : now you're being ridiculous.

Neva ; so, why did you want to bribe me ?

Neva ; than let's do this instead. I'll lend them to you. In exchange, you'll tell me what you're plotting, AND three dates.

Neva : 3 dates. I won't do anything to you. I promise. Just dates in public places.

Nana : if you lie to me, I'll make life sufferable for you.
