Chapter 14
"Are you... Doing anything important next week?"
~
You weren't sure what exactly possessed you to invite Grimlock to your- his?- son's creation day party, perhaps you felt he had a right to meet him? That was reasonable, at least.
Your walk home was quiet, peaceful even. No one was on the walk or the street except the occasional alt that drove by. This caused you to pause, why weren't you driving in your alt? It would be much faster.
"Gotten used to walking I suppose." You hummed as you stepped off the curb and into the road.
Transforming into your alt you drove off homeward bound. You drove in silence your thoughts surprisingly quiet, possibly because of the good mood you were in. It didn't take long for you to get home. You transformed and walked across your yard, unlocking your door you paused seeing a few lights on down the hall to your dinning room.
You narrowed your optics a little and slowly closed the door and shifted a picture frame aside to grab the gun the hidden compartment behind it. You raised the weapon up and slowly made your way to the lit room. Optics narrowing you slowly made it to the doorway and pressed your back to the wall beside it.
Taking in a deep vent you whirled around and pointed the weapon straight at the mech sitting at the head of your table. He did not seemed threatened at all at you. A soft hiss left you as glared down towards the mech.
"Why are you here?" You growled
"You know for a banner cubical worker, I'm surprised you even let a blaster with in eight miles of you." He chuckles
"That doesn't answer my question."
"Oh, (y/n), (y/n), (y/n), you haven't seen me in years and you don't even want to know how I've been!? I'm insulted!" He laughed lowly pressing a clawed servo over his chassis
"No, I'm just wondering why my old contractor broke into my home and is currently sitting at my table." You snarled, "All my debts to you are paid."
"While yes, that is true, I've just come to ask you something." He chuckled slowly rising from his seat
"And?"
He laughed softly and wandered over to a china cabinet ruling his claws over the glass, "Always so pushy, (y/n)."
"Always so dodgy." You retorted
He laughed ever louder, "Oh, how I've missed our banter my dear."
You only snarled in reply never loosing aim on him
"Now about what I must ask you," He chuckled continuing to look over the decor, "I have a proposition for you. It will definitely pay better than that little job of yours."
You narrowed your optics, "What ?"
"I want you to train my batch of newbies."
"What?"
