Lollie Parker
Noah and Lollie sat at the dining table eating their breakfast.
"So? How's school?" Mariah asked.
The two youngest looked at each other and laughed.
"What? I'm being serious! I haven't really spoken to either of you."
"Then maybe if you didn't go to every football game, you would talk to us more." Noah said.
"That's really rude." Mariah said.
"It's true though. We haven't really talked to you since you and Jacob have been dating." Lollie said.
"His name is Thor." Mariah muttered.
The two siblings looked at each other.
"We got to go to school." Noah said.
"Let me take you!"
"It's okay. Don't you and Thor have some making out to do before school starts?" Lollie asked.
Mariah only scoffed.
Lollie and Noah looked at each other and laughed.
Today's going to be a good day.
﹏﹏﹏﹏
"All through history, countries go to war. That's what we normally study in here. But today, we're going to talk about peace and forgiveness and how we get there. Every once in a while, I come up with a good idea." Mr. Matthews said.
"What could it possibly be that I haven't already thought of?" Farkle asked.
"Farkle, I forgive you."
"What did I do?"
Zay smiled, "I forgive you too."
"What did I do?!" Farkle asked.
"You know what you do." Noah said.
"I feel better now that I've forgiven you. How do you feel?"
"I'm sorry for every time I've hurt you! What did I do?!" He asked.
"Ladies and gentlemen, today we're going to begin the forgiveness project. Our history isn't just about what we've done. How we grow comes from the repair of what we've done and how we forgive what was done to us." Mr. Matthews said.
"Hmm. We're in. What do we do?" Riley asked.
"Everyone take out a piece of paper. So this isn't your laptop or your cell phone. You've got unlimited characters here. As many words as you want. The impact will last longer than six seconds. And I guarantee you, it's never going to disappear. So pick up a pen. Express feelings. This is one of the most important things you're ever going to do. You're about to forgive someone." Mr. Matthews said as he passed out cards.
"What's this got to do with history, Matthews?" Maya asked.
Lollie grabbed the card from Mr. Matthews.
"It gives you a chance to change it."
"Like when I forgave Auggie for biting the face off my Beary-the-Bear bear."
"That wasn't forgiveness, honey."
"Why not?"
"Because you haven't gotten over it."
Riley pulled the bear out, "This is the first thing I see every day."
"So is there anyone in your life that you want to forgive? Change your history. Go."
"Dear Auggie the murderer..." Riley said aloud.
Maya didn't budge, Lollie didn't either.
"Maya, no one in your life you want to forgive?"
"No."
"Don't you think now would be a good time?" Lucas asked.
"Maya, you and your mom are in a good place. You're strong, Maya. Don't you want to forgive him one day? Why not now?" Riley asked.
The five of them looked at Lollie. She hasn't moved since she got the card.
"Is she okay?" Maya asked.
Noah looked over at her, "I don't know. Wait a few minutes."
Maya turned her attention back towards Riley, writing her a note.
"Ahem. "Riley, butt out. I am serious. Butt your butt out."" Riley read.
"I forgive you." She said.
The bell rang and everyone but Lollie left.
Mr. Matthews approached her.
"You okay?"
She didn't look up at him, she shook her head no.
Mr. Matthews sighed, "I've known your mom for a long time, she's been nothing but my best friend and through knowing her, I've met your father."
Lollie looked up and saw her brother and Lucas waiting for her, the two talking about who knows what.
"He's a nice guy."
"I wouldn't know that." Lollie told him.
Mr. Matthews sat at the desk in front of her, "Lollie, I can't imagine how hard or how rough it can be not having someone in your life-"
"He's never been in my life. I don't know him and he obviously doesn't want to know me."
Lollie grabbed her belongings and walked into the hallway.
Farkle stopped Lollie on her way out, "Lollie want to go to the movies with me?"
"Sure. As long as you don't spoil it again."
"I don't-"
Lollie interrupted him, ""She dies, He falls in love, Wow! He's the murderer!""
"I get it!"
﹏﹏﹏﹏
The Parker family sat at the dining table as Noah wrote his forgiveness letter.
"Seems like Noah's doing his homework, but Lollie, where's yours?" Finn asked.
"I'm not doing it."
Bailey cocked her eyebrow and looked over at Finn.
"That's a first." Mariah muttered.
"Want to tell us why?" Bailey asked.
"No, not really."
Noah quickly grabbed his envelope and sealed his letter inside.
"It's finally done. I've been writing all day."
Bailey smiled, "Congratulations, honey."
"Who's it for?" Finn asked.
"Now why would I tell you that?"
Finn shook his head and turned his attention back on Lollie.
"Lollie, I'm pretty sure that this is a big assignment that-"
A knock on the door stopped him.
Lollie slurped up the last of her soup, "That's Lucas, we'll be upstairs."
Lollie rushed towards the door, letting Lucas inside.
Before he could speak Lollie grabbed his arm and pulled him upstairs.
"She's not telling us something." Bailey said.
Finn looked at Noah, "What's the project on?"
"Forgiveness."
Noah stood up and put his bowl in the sink, "All about forgiveness."
He made his way upstairs.
"That doesn't help us figure anything out."
﹏﹏﹏﹏
Lucas and Lollie sat at her bay window, her head in his lap.
Lucas gently stroked her hair.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah."
She hasn't said much to him since he was dragged upstairs.
She was reading a book in his lap.
"Are you going to write him?"
"Don't know."
Lucas didn't want to pressure Lollie into doing something that she didn't want to.
He looked over at her desk and saw a piece of paper folded up.
"What's that?"
Lollie didn't bother looking up, "Nothing probably."
Lucas gently lifted Lollie's head and walked towards the desk.
He picked up the note and read it in his head.
"I thought this was nothing."
Lollie looked over at Lucas and saw him with the note in his hand.
She jerked up and grabbed it from him.
"Send it Lollie."
She shook her head, "Why? This was a joke letter. I'm not writing him."
"You obviously want him to know who you are Lollie."
Lollie looked down at the note.
"It's your life Lollie. Do what you think is best."
﹏﹏﹏﹏
Finn sat in the living room, everyone was in their rooms.
A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts.
He stood up and answered it, Cory stood before him.
"You okay?" Cory asked.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
Finn allowed Cory inside and Cory sat on the couch.
"I sensed that-"
Finn cut him off, "Bailey called you?"
"Yeah."
Finn chuckled and sat on the couch with two cups of water.
"Thanks. What's wrong?"
Finn sighed, "This project you've got going on is switching up my kids."
"Huh?"
"Noah wrote his letter, but Lollie hasn't. She doesn't even want to talk about it."
Cory looked at Finn.
"I know she wants to write her dad, but I know she doesn't know why she's forgiving him."
"I think she does." Cory said.
"What do you mean?"
Cory sat up straight, "Lollie has been so mad at her dad for years on end, maybe she's not mad anymore."
﹏﹏﹏﹏
The two talked for a few more hours before Cory went home.
It was around nine-thirty.
Finn cut off the lights downstairs and head up.
He checked up on each of his kids, the last being Lollie.
He knocked on the door but got no response.
He opened the door and saw Lollie sleeping.
He smiled and cut her light off.
Before leaving he saw a note on her desk.
He grabbed it and read it.
Dear, No Name?
I don't know your name, to be honest, my mom, Bailey "Lee" Rose Parker doesn't about you often. The only thing I know about you is your last name, which is Morrison or Morris. Before you married my mom she was a Martìnez. She cool :). She met you along with Mr. Cory Matthews, his now wife Mrs. Topanga Matthews, back then it was Lawrence, and Shawn Hunter. They've always been there for her, even if it wasn't in person. After I was born, you left. You suck:) or at least I felt like you left when I was born. When I was two my mom met Finn Dylan Parker. He has a stupid middle name, Finn Dylan, but he's always been there for her and for me. They got married when I was four. Finn doesn't treat me differently from his own kids, Noah Micheal Parker (he's my age, I'm fifteen turning sixteen soon) and his daughter, Mariah "Ria" Dalaney Parker. They're cool too:). I'm mad at you still, for leaving. I'm also not mad at you? I don't know if you made my mom happy or not, but she met a nice man, who treats me like I was his own, I appreciate him. I guess I forgive you I don't know. I forgive you because my mom is happy with Finn, but I don't forgive you for leaving. Noah and Mariah's mom come over often. She hangs out with them and takes them places because those are her kids you know? She loves them. I was born in New Mexico and I moved to New York because my grandma (Fran Andrews) wanted us there. Anyways I know I didn't really tell you about me because if you really wanted to know you've would have stayed long enough to know. I'm going to say this one more time before I end this letter, you suck :). I'm Winter Lollie Parker, your kid, daughter, your whatever. I don't know how to end this,
- Lollie
Finn looked over at the sleeping girl.
He walked out of the room shutting the door and headed towards Mariah's.
"Come in my room." He said.
He walked into his own room with Bailey looking at him.
"You okay?"
He only replied with a head nod.
Mariah opened the door, "You need me?"
Finn grabbed his laptop and pushed Mariah out the door.
The two of them ended up downstairs.
"What are you doing?"
"Lollie wrote her dad a letter."
Mariah laughed, "Why are you talking like that."
Finn quickly understood what she was saying.
"Not me, her birth father."
Mariah looked up at her dad, "Oh."
Finn opened his laptop and went on FacePage.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm going to send him a letter."
"How? We don't even know his name."
"You kids don't know his name, I know his name."
"How?"
Finn looked at his eldest, "Since I'm a nice dad I'm not going to say anything to you."
Mariah rolled her eyes, "I appreciate it."
Finn rapidly tapped on his laptop.
"Woah there buckaroo, what are you doing?"
"I'm going to send him Lollie's letter. How many times do I have to say this?"
Mariah stared at him, "Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean I'm pretty sure she would-"
"If she wrote it she wants him to see it."
Mariah decided to back off.
Finn chuckled, "Bingo."
"What?"
"I found his address."
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" She asked again, "I promise it's the last time I'll ask."
Finn grabbed his jacket, "I'm sure." He said and walked out the door.
﹏﹏﹏﹏
It was the weekend and Lollie and Noah sat at the dining table.
Everyone but Finn and Bailey were there.
"Where is he?" Lollie asked.
"He went to sleep late last night." Mariah told them.
Their mother was at Topanga's working her shift.
"What was he doing then?" Noah asked.
Mariah choked on her toast, "How am I supposed to know?"
The two youngest looked at each other and didn't bother asking anything else.
"Topanga's?"
﹏﹏﹏﹏
"Can you watch the front for me? I have to get the stuff from the back." Bailey asked Katy.
"Yeah, sure."
Bailey sent Katy a smile and she went to the back.
A man entered the small café, "Hey, I'm looking for Bailey Martínez."
Katy looked at the man.
"Who?"
Now, Katy has known Bailey for a while but she didn't know about her kids' birth father.
Topanga walked in and saw Katy talking to the man.
She approached the two, "Hi, what's the problem."
"He's looking for Bailey Martínez, but the only Bailey here is Bailey Parker." Katy explained.
Topanga looked up at the man and gasp.
"Hi, Topanga."
"Hi, Zander."
Bailey walked from the back, dusting off her hands.
"Thanks, Katy."
Zander smiled, "Hi, Bailey."
Bailey looked up at the familiar voice.
She felt mixed emotions. She was angry and upset.
"What are you doing here?"
"Nice to see you too." He chuckled.
Bailey scoffed, "No, no, no. This is not how it's gonna work. What are you doing here?"
Zander held up the letter for her to read.
She could barely read it.
"There's easer marks and strikethroughs. I can't read this."
"Well, my daughter wrote it."
Bailey looked at him, "She wrote you? She wrote you a forgiveness letter? For what?"
"Look I know I've been absent-"
Bailey faced him, "Absent? That's the word you would use? You abandoned her. You can't just waltz in here and fix fifteen years."
"I wouldn't hurt to try."
"It's Lollie. What do you expect? Oh right, you wouldn't know."
Topanga walked towards the two, looping her arms around Bailey.
"Hey, let's go cool down."
The three ladies walked into the back, leaving Zander standing alone.
The Parker siblings walked into the café and sat at a table.
Lollie's back faced Zander.
Riley and Maya walked inside and sat at the little bay window.
Maya rapidly patted Riley's arm.
"What?"
"Look at that handsome man."
Riley looked over at Zander, "Oh wow."
Riley looked over and saw Lollie and Noah.
She stood up and walked towards the two, "Can we borrow her?"
"Sure." Noah said.
Lollie stood up and walked with Riley.
"Lollie, look at that man over there." Maya said.
Lollie looked over at the man and he looked back.
"He's a man, a manly man, meaning that we should stop talking about said manly man."
He walked over towards the girls.
"He's coming!" Maya muttered in Lollie's ear.
"Um, I'm sorry I'm really bad at this." He started.
Riley grabbed onto Lollie's shoulders, "Aren't we all?"
He chuckled, "These your friends?"
"Yeah, this is Riley and Maya." She stuck her hand out, "I'm Winter."
He grasped her hand, "Zander. Zander Morris."
Lollie felt her heart drop.
Bailey finally came out from the back with the others.
She saw Lollie shaking Zander's hand.
Lollie quickly let go of his hand.
"If you let me explain-"
"How'd you get my letter? Why are you here?" She asked.
Maya and Riley looked back at each other.
Noah walked over towards the two, "What's happening?"
"We don't know."
"Winter-"
"How'd you get my letter? I didn't send it."
"It's ended up in my mailbox."
"He went to sleep late last night."
Lollie wiped her face and looked at her mother, "Did you know he was coming?"
"Lollie, I- I had no idea."
Lollie looked back at her father and back towards Noah.
Lollie didn't even say anything she grabbed Noah by the arm and walked home.
﹏﹏﹏﹏
Noah and Lollie walked inside and saw Finn and Mariah and the table.
Lollie walked up to him, "Why would you send him my letter? Why would you do that?"
Finn looked over at Lollie.
Mariah grabbed her textbook and went upstairs with Noah.
"He came to Topanga's. I wasn't ready for him. Why'd you send my letter without asking me first?"
"If you wrote it I knew you wanted it to be sent."
Lollie just looked at him, "And what if I didn't? You wouldn't know because you butted in something I didn't want you in!"
Lollie sat down on the bench-styled chair and put her head in her hands.
"Why didn't you talk to someone?"
"I don't know. I thought he was just going to write back."
Finn rubbed Lollie's back, as she slightly cried.
"Lollie, do you want to talk to him?"
She sat up, "Yes."
Finn smiled at her, "Then go."
"If I write him a letter can you send it for me?"
"Sure kiddo."
Lollie smiled at him, "Thanks."
She headed upstairs only to rush back down.
She hugged Finn, "I love you."
"I love you too."
﹏﹏﹏﹏
Bailey sighed and as her phone buzzed.
Bailey pulled her phone out and giggled.
"What?"
"It was Lollie. I'm going to talk to him."
"You sure?" Topanga asked.
"Yeah, it's time."
Bailey walked towards the booth Zander was at and looked at him.
"You think I embarrassed her?" He asked.
"No, she was just shocked. She hasn't seen you in years. What did you expect?"
"I don't know honestly, I'm really sorry."
Bailey looked at him, "If you wanted to leave us, you've could've talked to me about it."
"I know, I didn't know how to tell you though. Does Winte-"
"She goes by Lollie."
"Does Lollie know that we weren't married?"
"She probably doesn't it. Why?"
Zander pulled the note out, "She said, "Before you married my mom she was a Martìnez." She doesn't know she had my last name?"
Bailey only shook her head, "I tried defending you to the best of my ability."
Zander sighed, "Why?"
"You can be a good guy if you want to be."
Zander sent her a soft smile, "I want to be her life."
"It's not my decision, it's about what Lollie wants."
﹏﹏﹏﹏
Finn reread the letter Lollie gave him.
Dear Dad?
That's weird, anyways sorry for storming out it's weird for me to see you in person because I don't remember much of you or just you in general. If you want to talk or something I don't know, you can go to the same spot. Around three maybe. I've got school tomorrow so it maybe a little past three.
See you soon,
- Lollie.
﹏﹏﹏﹏
Finn walked into Topanga's and placed the note in front of Zander.
Bailey looked up at him, "What's this?"
"It's not for you. It's for him. I'm Finn, by the way."
Zander held his hand out, "Zander."
Zander took the note and read it, Finn sat down beside his wife.
A smile appeared on his face.
"What?" Bailey questioned.
"She wants to meet up tomorrow."
Zander looked over at Finn, "You sent the letter didn't you?"
Finn only nodded.
"I don't know how to thank you, you've taken better care of her than what I've possibly could have."
﹏﹏﹏﹏
Lollie sat at her desk as her leg rapidly bobbed up and down.
"How's the forgiveness project going?" Mr. Matthews asked.
"You killed us, Matthews." Maya said, "I gotta say, Matthews, I don't know what you were thinking."
"You think forgiveness leads to peace?" Lucas asked.
"It leads to war in a movie theater." Noah said.
"Lights go down, the movie starts, I made Farkle sit in the other corner of the theater so he can't ruin anything." Lucas said.
"Sounds like a good strategy." Mr. Matthews said.
"Yeah. Then a cowboy comes on the screen. Farkle yells-" Lucas started.
""Dead!""
"An old prospector comes on the screen." Zay said.
""Alien looking for a time portal.""
"Next comes a cheerleader." Noah said.
"How is there a cheerleader in this movie?" Mr. Matthews asked.
"No kidding." Farkle said.
"Well, I'm sure some of you had a better experience." Mr. Matthews said.
The majority of the class shook their heads no.
Lollie just sat there, bouncing her leg.
She was nervous about today, she didn't want anything bad to happen. Just talk and leave.
"Forgiveness doesn't work, Dad. I forgave Auggie and he didn't thank me."
"Riley, did you really forgive Auggie?" Mr. Matthews asked.
"No!"
"Maya, did you forgive your father?"
"No."
Zay balled up a piece of paper, "And we didn't forgive Farkle."
He threw it at him.
"Ow."
Mr. Matthews turned his attention towards Lollie, "Did you forgive your father?"
Lollie looked up at him, "No."
"Well, it sounds to me that forgiveness is harder than it looks." Mr. Matthews said.
"I tried. Made it real clear. Want to hear it?" Maya asked.
"If you're all right with it."
"In school, I'm learning about forgiveness. What you did makes me have a lot of angry feelings inside of me. I don't want to be angry anymore. Why did you leave? Did I do something? Make me understand what I did. Your daughter, Maya.""
Noah put his hand on her shoulder in comfort.
"Did he help you to understand what happened?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"I mean, I guess I never gave him the chance to explain."
"Riley, why did Auggie bite your bear's face off?" Mr. Matthews asked.
"I don't know."
"Why not?"
"I never asked him."
"Lucas? Zay? Noah?"
"Farkle, why do you tell us the end of the movies?" Lucas asked.
"Well, because you're good at everything you do. You got that class-clown thing going. All I've got is my mind, so I try to impress you with it any way I can. "Oh, Farkle, you don't need to impress us. We love you just the way you are."" Farkle said.
"Farkle, we are never going to the movies with you again." Zay said.
"Guess you missed that one. Huh, Farkle?" Noah asked.
"No, I didn't."
"Oh, Farkle, you don't need to impress us." Maya said.
"We love you just the way you are." Riley said.
"Movie?" He asked.
"Anytime."
"We gotta get better minds, man." Zay said.
"Yeah, we do." Lucas said.
"All of you do. Better minds know that sometimes to really forgive someone, it helps to understand them first. It gives the other person the chance to be heard from too." Mr. Matthews said.
"Why can't you just admit that you're wrong about this?" Maya asked.
"Because forgiveness is one of our finest qualities as human beings, Maya. You have to understand each other before you can even begin to know what comes next. To understand each other. See what happens. Your assignment hasn't even begun until you do." Mr. Matthews said.
The bell rang and everyone existed.
Well, not everyone.
Lollie was in her own little world right now.
"Is she okay?" Maya asked.
Noah shrugged his shoulders, "She didn't say much to us last night or this morning."
Mr. Matthews walked up to her, "Everyone leave."
"Dad-"
"Everyone."
Riley looked over at Maya and they all left.
Mr. Matthews sat at the desk in front of Lollie.
"How'd it go?"
"He looks different than what I thought he would. I'm meeting with him after school."
"Is that a Lollie decision?"
Lollie looked at him, "I think so."
Mr. Matthews smiled at the girl.
"I just want answers." She said.
"And that's okay."
Mr. Matthews smiled at her, "I think you've got some people waiting on you."
Lollie looked over at the door and saw her friends waiting for her.
"You're a good teacher."
"And you're a better student."
﹏﹏﹏﹏
Lollie walked in Topanga's hand and hand with Lucas. The others trailed behind.
Lollie looked over and saw her mother, Katy, and Topanga behind the counter.
"Hey, mom."
Bailey looked and saw her kids and their friends, "Hey."
"Did he show?"
Bailey pointed over at the booth.
Lollie and the other looked over and saw him fumbling with his fingers.
Lollie let go of Lucas's hand and sat in the booth.
"Hey." She spoke.
"Hey."
Noah sat roughly beside her, "I'm watching you. Hope you know that man."
"Can you leave?"
Noah looked between the two and now made the "I'm watching you" signal.
"Okay so-"
Maya, Riley, Farkle, Zay sat down beside the both of them.
"You are a good-looking man!" Zay said.
Lollie put her head in her hands.
"We are Lollie's best friends and we are watching you." Riley said.
"Always." Maya added.
"She's always helping up and now we are helping her." Farkle said.
"She's a good person. I hope you would want to know that." Zay said.
The four of them left.
Lollie sighed, "Okay, um. I know-"
Lucas sat beside Lollie.
"You are a man." He started. "And as a man, you should want to-"
Lollie quickly hushed him, "Don't finish that sentence."
"Anyways, we are always here for her. That's why we are all here now."
Lollie smiled and placed her hand on top of Lucas'.
"Because she's a nice, beautiful, and most importantly a good friend, and we'd do anything for her."
Lucas then stood up, "Hopefully you are wanting to know more about her."
"I'm sorry about that."
Zander sighed, "I wish my friends would stand up for me like that. That last kid? Who's that?"
"That's Lucas. He's my boyfriend. He's caring, and sweet, and kind. I don't think I've met anyone like him before."
"Oh, I see." Zander smiled, "He looked like he wanted to beat me up, along with that other kid. The first one."
"That's my brother, his name is Noah. He's a pain sometimes, but I love him and I would do anything for him. Just like he would do anything for me."
"Don't tell the enemy my name!"
"He doesn't like me." Zander said.
"I don't think any of them do. If I'm being honest."
"What about the two girls and the other two guys?"
"The blond is Maya, we didn't get along at first but now we're good. The brunette is Riley, we got along from the start. The other brunette is Farkle, he's really, really, smart and I consider him one of my favorite people ever."
"Now wait a minute-"
"And last but not least is Zay and he's relatively new but I feel like I've known him forever. He's really really funny.
"You've got yourself some good friends here Lollie."
"Best I could ask for."
Zander sat up some more, "I'm sorry, for everything and you shouldn't be forgiving me today or ever. I've been a bad person and a horrible father."
"I know. I thought you would look different."
"Different how?"
"I don't know? I've seen Finn as a dad to me, so I've always seen another version of Finn as my dad."
"I get that."
Lollie sighed, "Why'd you leave?"
"I- I thought I was ready for kids and when Bailey told me she was pregnant I was ecstatic and I was already bought clothes and room decorations. I felt like those people who remodel homes."
The two of them laughed.
"What happened?"
"You were born and I held you and I knew I couldn't do it. I always wrote letters to you to think about how you would be. I was there for a year."
Lollie pulled two letters out of her pocket.
She read the first one.
""Dear Winter, You are my biggest blessing and I'm so happy to meet you. You are the greatest thing to happen to me besides meeting your mother. Hope to see you soon. Love Pops""
Lollie then read the second letter, ""Dear Winter, I'm sorry but I can't do this I thought ready but when I held you I knew I would be a bad dad. I hope you forgive me for my mistakes. Forever loving you, Pops.""
Lollie folded the two letters.
"I hate you." Lollie told him.
"Lollie I-"
"I hate you because you left and I hate you because you never tried, but I like you because my mom is happier and I now know you two were never married, it was kind of stupid to think that you two were. I like you because I've would have never met the people I know now."
"They are some great people."
"If you get to know them they are the greatest people you'll ever meet."
Zander smiled, "I want to know who Lollie is. Who is she?"
"I don't know really know-"
"Lollie is a person you can count on. She won't flake on you. She helps me with a lot and I'm always glad to return the favor." Noah said.
"Lollie is a person who is always there. She went with me to the Buggy Awards, best date ever."
"Lollie was a new kid once, and once I got to know her. She's pretty cool and it feels like I've known her forever."
"I didn't like Lollie, like at all. I know I can't judge people as quickly as I did with her. Lollie's an amazing person once you get to know her. I should have never been as mean as I was towards her." Maya said and sat down beside Lollie, "I'm sorry. I thought she was going to take my best friend away from me and I did whatever I could to get her not to like her. I'm sorry. Lollie is a great person and is one of my best friends."
Riley smiled, "Maybe if Lollie wasn't Lollie we would have never know who she was. I know I would hate that. She's changed all of in the past year we've known her. And somehow we know a lot about each other. I'm very thankful for that."
Zander looked up and Lucas, "What do you have?"
"They've pretty much said everything about her. She's a great person and we've all grown with each other. Lollie has only been a fun and caring person to be around. You are the only one who didn't know that. Hopefully, you've learned from what we told you who Winter Lollie Parker actually is."
Lollie looked at Zander, "That's me."
Zander looked over at Bailey who nodded.
"I want to be here for you Lollie."
"How do I know you won't leave?"
Zander grabbed her hands, "Because I'm a better person now."
Lollie smiled at him, "Promise me, no matter what happens you'll be there no matter what happens, because I can't go through this another fifteen years."
"I promise."
"So," Noah started, "What happens now?"
"Now? Now. We get to know each other, even more than what we know now." Lollie said.

Lollie and Noah sat at the dining table with all the family members around.
Lollie learned that her birth father didn't live far.
Noah pulled his letter out of his pocket, "Here."
Lollie grabbed the letter from him.
Lollie opened and read aloud, ""Dear Lollie, The assignment was supposed to be about forgiving someone and that's exactly what I'm doing now, but first I want you to forgive me. At first, I didn't like having another sister or another mother but I've matured and I've grown. You're an amazing sister and I wouldn't change that. Thanks. I want you to forgive me for being a bad brother at first. I'm here now. That's not changing. Noah.""
Lollie looked over at him.
"I'm sorry."
Lollie smiled at him, "I forgive you."
"Good because if you didn't it would be awkward."
"So if you wrote Lollie an apology letter, who'd you write your forgiveness letter for?" Mariah asked.
"I wrote it for dad." Noah pulled another letter out.
Finn grabbed it and read it aloud, ""Dear dad, I forgive you for that one time you threw my toy dog named Dog in the trash when I was five. It was traumatizing and I yelled at you for two months after that. But I got a new pet dog named Dog upstairs. You won't find him trust me. Love, Noah. Xoxo.""
Finn sighed, "The dog is in the closet isn't it?"
Noah sighed, "No."
Noah stood up and headed upstairs.
"Then where are you going?"
"Upstairs, towards my closet. The dog isn't in there but if it was, I wouldn't be going to move it right now."
