It's been a good five years since the incident. Y/n's father had taken her to his farm where they worked together selling crops and goods. This year however has been rather tough Y/n talked to her father bout getting a job and sent many applications none were answered.

She sat on her bed and drank some water while pouring some on her hair which reached to shoulder length. She was sweating like crazy they didn't have an air conditioner or fans so it was often uncomfortable and sweltering.

She had finished High School this year and was gonna take over her Father's farm when he was ready. Her pa  hated electronics and said that hard work earns rewards and laziness got you no where.

She often thought about her friends all the good times they had  she sometimes had dreams that Dominic was still around even though he wasn't.  She  missed his silly face the constant jokes and puns he had. He loved swimming with her.  The common place they went swimming at was Hurricane River. They had history there  as well as Summer and Fall harvest.

  "Don't give up y/n you got this!" Her father cheered her on as she was in the race with other kids.

  "Here you two have been quite the helpers." Her father cheered happily as he handed Y/n and her best friend His hand made ice cream."

  "You can't get me Dominic!" Y/n teased as she swam as fast as she could then ducked under the water.

    "This is a funny drink." Dominic said

  "That's Apple Cider ."

  "So that's where the pie went." Y/n's father mentioned

as he looked at Y/n  then her friends who all had pie on their faces and hands.
