Chapter Two

"You know, that scepter reminds me of Princess Luna, before she was banished." Celestia told me when we was out in the gardens a few days after our ceremonies.

"How so?"

"The crescent shape, it's of the crescent moon, and the magic energy looks like a moon." Celestia said, "and it's silver."

I looked at it nodding. "It was Luna's."

Celestia whipped around and looked at me.

"But that's, a huge amount of magic stored in there, and Luna's, what if you did something that you couldn't undo with it." She said worriedly.

"I already have." I said looking away in shame.

Celestia was silent for a while when she realized what I meant.

"I love my ears, I can hear more with them." She smiled at me.

"And you have wings, yet you cannot fly." I retorted.

"At least mine are pretty unlike yours." She teased.

I cracked a smile but didn't say any more.

The moon hovered at the edge of the horizon.

"Luna is going to rise soon. I know it." Celestia sighed looking at the moon.

"And how do you know?" I asked this time.

"The moon waits for as long as it can before sinking below the horizon, and now I'm the Goddess of the Sun and Sky it waits till I have to raise the sun before going to rest. And anyway, her banishment is nearly up." Celestia said.

I looked at the moon closely. The moon was beginning to shadow over.

"I can't tell you if she is close or not at this time, I am sorry." I sighed.

Celestia smiled. "It does not matter, now wait a moment for me to do my job."

Nodding I stood behind her and watched as she raised the sun.

Celestia looked up at the sky and her wings began to glow gold. As she rose in the sky the whole of her began to brighten and her hair whipped around her turning golden.

When the sun was in the sky she lowered herself down, brightness gone but her hair still golden.

"All done." She smiled and we continued walking till sun high.

"I'd better go. Dad'll be waiting for me." I said.

Celestia sighed. "Why don't you stop your lessons now your a Goddess Light? Father has with mine."

"Because Celestia, I don't want to stop learning, who knows when it could be needed next? Oh and, it's Flame to you." I snapped and with a tap of the scepter on the ground I teleported over towards my father's chambers.

Stopping in front of a mirror I dragged my free hand through my black hair which has green highlights and tugged at my green and gold jacket.

Satisfied with my appearance I opened the doors and walked over to my father.

"Light! Your late? What's the matter?" Father asked as soon as he saw me.

Father knew me too well.

I plonked onto the big bed and father sat next to me using his magic to close the doors.

I fiddled with my scepter that he'd given me when I was one.

"Who is my mother Father?" I asked him.

Father looked at me frowning. "What's going on? You've never asked me this before. Are you unwell?" Father put a hand on my forehead.

"Celestia." I sighed.

Father looked angry. "What has she done?"

"Nothing, but it's what she has." I said.

Father waited for me to carry on.

"At our ceremony she had Thor and Jane with her as well as her Grandfather. Me? I only have you and your half brother. I hoped after mother had gone and hadn't come back she would come to the ceremony if she cared for me. But she didn't." I bit my lip and tried not to cry as I stopped talking.

Father sighed and hugged me close. "Light, listen to me. Your mother loves you more than the rest of the world's. If she could of been there, I think she would of been there."

"Then tell me who she is. You speak only the bare minimum of her and not even a mention of her name. How can I say that I know my family when I don't even know my mother?" I said.

Fat her nodded. Alright, but are you sure you want to know?" He asked.

I nodded. "More than anything."

"Alright then."

"When I was a young God and had just found out I was an Frost Giant, I'd an girlfriend. She was from Asfar and was very pretty. She was strong willed, intelligent, funny and fierce and was ment for me as I was for her. It was that obvious. When I rebelled against my 'brother' for the third time she was my right hand man, or woman should I say. She had an ability to turn into a wolf on the full moon and protected me in the last fight.

Upon me losing, she was to be hanged and killed but we found out she was pregnant, with you, and so she was imprisoned on the moon as her punishment, only let down to give birth to you, till 1,750 years were up. She was given your scepter because though she could do magic like me, she needed something to channel the energy safely."

"So.... My mother. Is the Goddess of the Moon and Hunt?" I said shocked.

My father nodded slowly. "That is correct."

I blinked in surprise. "But that means the prophecy was about me." I murmured.

"What prophecy?" Loki asked.

"The moon light glows blue,
The sun glows bright,
They will come together at night,

Wings of black, blue and white,
Will bite the sun and take the power,
And restore balance that once was lost.

Sun will strike at the heart of God's
And crumble will they fall,

One will rise and two will fall,
Two shall leave and three shall rule,
All in the name of the call."
