Waterfall

Blaze ran after you as you struggled to stay alive. You were pretty sure that was the only reason your body nor mind had not betrayed you yet.
Your will to survive mixed with your adrenaline rush.
When Blaze got close enough to you he dived into the river, using his front hooves to break the surface of the water, fully submerging himself.
Blaze swam back up to the surface, looking around for you frantically.
"Blaze." You chocked out as the river continued to beat you to a pulp.
Blaze turned to your voice, when he saw you he swim as fast as he could towards you.
You gasped for air as the rapids pulled you back under the water. You held your breath, trying as you might to get back to the surface, but it was no use.
Your lungs started to burn, and all you wanted to do was take a deep breath. You didn't even care if it was a deep breath of water. You needed to breath.
Right before you gave up hope Blaze came up from under you, carrying you to the surface. The two of you broke the water with a gasp as you shivered from the cold water, the drugs, and the blood loss.
You wrapped your hands tightly in Blaze's mane, laying your head on his neck, half dazed. You had been fighting for what felt like forever and your body was just now giving up on you.
Blaze tried to swim up river, digging in his hooves and pushing with all his might. But the river was too strong.
You heard water crashing behind you and lazily looked towards it.
There, not twenty feet away, was the end of the river. The water dropping off into a waterfall.
Blaze snorted and struggled up stream, but there was nothing anyone could do.
You buried your face into Blaze's mane, letting out a pathetic little whimper, before the two of you went off the edge.
*
After that you could only remember bits and pieces of what happened next.
You remembered falling.
You remembered hitting the water.
You also remembered Blaze pulling you out of the water by the back of your dress.
Blaze nickered softly, nuzzling your head, telling you to get up. But all you did was moan at him in discomfort, your side bleeding heavily as the soil around you started to turn scarlet with your blood.
After that you fell into unconsciousness.
*
"(Y/n)!" You heard a faraway voice call, waking you from your peaceful slumber. It sounded drowned out and muffled, but someone was definitely calling for you.
You tried to get your eyes to open, to get your head to move. But you couldn't, everything just seamed so heavy. So hard. Even breathing was hard.
Why did it all have to be so difficult?
"(Y/n)!" Came the voice again. It was still far away and drowned out but it was definitely there.
You heard a nicker of a horse. Like it was calling for them.
"This way!" You heard the voice snap urgently fallowed by heavy foot steps.
*
Loki heard the distinct nicker of Blaze as he and Thor searched for you. They had been searching for what felt like forever, but was probably only 30 minutes. Still... that was much too long. Especially given the state you had been in when you were swept away.
"This way." Loki barked at Thor and the few other guards that were with him, before spurring his horse into a full out galloped towards the sound of the sorrow filled nicker, trusting they would keep up.
Loki rounded the bend to find the waterfall that you had fallen down spilling into a beautifully peaceful pond. The mist of the waterfall sparkled in the sunlight forming the most beautiful rainbow. But that wasn't what Loki was looking for.
He then heard the panicked, sorrow filled nicker once again.
He turned, and what he saw next made his heart drop to his stomach like it was make out of stone.
You laid near the pond, your legs still submerged in the water, blood pooling around you from the nasty looking gash in your side. Blaze laying by your side.
"Oh gods." Loki breathed. He jumped off his horse and came running over to your side. He couldn't see you breathing. And you looked so very very pale.
When Loki got to you he knelt next to you, not caring in the slightest that he would get mud and blood on him.
"Brother?" Thor called through the forest looking for his brother.
"Over here!" Loki called back as he place his two fingers on your neck to check your pulse. When he did he breathed a sigh of relief. Your heart was still beating.
Just barely.
But you weren't gone yet.
"Love!" Loki called gently shaking you, trying to get you to wake up. "(Y/n) you have to wake up."
"You found her." Thor announced when he saw Loki kneeling on the ground next to you.
"We need to take her back to mother." Loki snapped, his sort temper rising at your state. "She's not responding."
"Can you teleport her back to the palace?" Thor asked gently, knowing Loki was only lashing out at him because he was the one there.
"She's too weak." Loki snarled. "The magic that would be needed for that would kill her instantly. I'm not risking it."
Blaze then stood up from where he had been laying by your side. He walked over to Loki, demanding his attention.
Loki looked up at your horse, wondering what Blaze could possibly want.
Blaze raised his head regally, showing off his strength and power, before going down into a low respectful bow. Offering himself over to Loki.
Blaze still didn't like Loki, he never would. But he knew you loved Loki. And even more importantly, he knew Loki loved you and would do anything he could to save you.
Blaze would let Loki ride him to get you the help you needed.
Loki watched dumbfounded as Blaze offered up his service to him. He had never so much as touched your horse. Blaze would never allow it. Now he was going to ride him.
"Can you take care of my stallion?" Loki asked Thor as he scooped you up into his arms, cradling you against his cool chest.
You let out a pained whimper at being moved.
"I know love." Loki cooed gently at your pained whimper. "I know. Just stay with me a little bit longer. Everything will be ok. I promise."
Thor nodded, "take your lady to mother." Thor bid his brother kindly.
Loki gave Thor a stiff nod before taking you over to Blaze, who was still bowed down, and mounted his back.
Blaze stood up, as Loki held you in front of him, cradled in his arms, your head lolled back on his shoulder as you sat sideways on your horse.
"Take me to the palace as fast as you can Blaze." Loki ordered him with force in his voice. "Heya!"
Blaze waisted not time into going out into a full out gallop. Heading straight into the forest.
Loki held onto you, clutching you in his arms with one hand while the other held onto Blaze's thick mane to keep him from falling off. Loki knew Blaze was powerful and fast, but he never got to experience it for himself. But now, as Loki felt all the power and raw force from Blaze's gallop, he knew that this kind of power was addicting.
"Loki." You whimpered as Blaze ran along down the trail, sometimes going off trail to get to the palace faster. "It hurts."
"I know love." Loki tried to sooth you. "But we're almost there. Just a little longer."
*
Blaze came to a sliding stop at the palace steps and not a moment later Loki slid off his back with you in his arms whimpering pathetically.
Loki ran through the halls of the palace going straight to the healing wing where he knew his mother would be, awaiting for his return. Servants, nobles and maids all leaped out of the dark prince's way he ran down the halls with a lifeless girl clutched in his arms shaking and whimpering in pain.
No one wanted to be on Loki's bad side. He usually was so brutal to those that crossed him If one of them slowed him down by being in his way... they didn't want to think about what would happen to them it they were the reason Loki didn't get his lady to his beloved mama in time for him to save her.
"Mother!" Loki yelled, desperation in his voice, when he bursted into the healing wing with you.
"Over here dear." Frigga called back, her voice kind and calm as to not distress you or her son more than you already were. That would do no one any good.
Loki fallowed her voice, finding her at a bed that was already set up for your arrival.
"Set her on the bed." Frigga told her son gently.
Loki did as he was told, fretting over you the whole time. Frigga came up to him, grabbing him gently, but firmly, by his shoulders as her healers rushed over to you to start their work.
"You did everything you could my son." Frigga told him with a mother's love. "Let us take it from here."
Loki don't move as he watched helplessly at your current state. He couldn't leave you. But healing was never one of his strengths.
Thor came in not a moment latter, taking his brother by his shoulders and gently steering him out of the room. It wouldn't do the healers or his mother any good for Loki to be in their way as they worked to save your life. "You did well brother." Thor told Loki as he walked him out of the room. "Let mother take it from here."
