You were going down for dinner the next morning when you saw Loki down the hallway. You called to him cheerfully and ran up to him. Loki stopped at hearing his name and looked back smiling as you ran up.
"Good morning love." Loki greeted you, his voice a gentle purr. You stoped in front of him a little awkwardly not sure what your and his relationship was now.
"Morning," You greeted him just as awkwardly, Loki caught onto your change of energy almost immediately, his face dropping.
"It's something wrong?" He asked you concerned.
"No." You quickly reassured him, "it's just..." Loki waited patiently for you to find the right words, "we need to talk about last night. And no before you ask it was wonderful. But I'm not sure where I stand with you now, you know... after we kissed. I don't know if we are still just friends or if we are a couple now. I have never kissed anyone before let alone have a boyfriend so I'm not sure how this whole thing works. I mean if you don't want to be a couple that's ok I don't want to push you into something you don't want. But if you do want it I would be just as happy. I don't know maybe..."
Loki cut off your rambling with a kiss which effectively got you to shut up. Loki pulled away, "I would love to be your boyfriend," he chuckled at you shocked expression.
"So that would make me your..." You drifted off not sure if this was real or not.
"Girlfriend." Loki finished your sentence with a chuckle.
"So we are a couple now." You summed up.
"If that is what you want." Loki confirmed.
        You hugged Loki around his waist a bright smile plastered on your face, "it's definitely what I want." Loki chuckled kissing your hair on the top of your head.
        "Good because that's what I wanted to." He purred extremely happy to have you all to himself. "Now," Loki said pulling away from your embrace, "I do believe it is pancake day."

When you got down to the living room Loki made a be-line to the kitchen where Clint was making pancakes. He loved pancakes, it was one of his most favorite Earth foods.
"How was your date" Natasha asked coming up to you smirking.
"It was the best date ever!" You told her happily, "Loki didn't even forget me at the park!"
"I'm glad. Or else I would have to kill him for making your night miserable." She told you with warmth in her voice. She had adopted you as her little sister, and you had no doubt that if Loki made you cry he would be put in his place for sure. "Did he kiss you?" She asked teasingly. Your face heated up as your cheeks turned red a smile you tried so hard not to have formed on your face. "He did." Natasha laughed elbowing you in the side, which only made your face turn redder. "Was he any good?"
"Nat," you complained, the conversation was taking a weird turn. She laughed at your embarrassment to talk about the kiss you and Loki shared but decided to change the conversation.
"So I assume you two are a couple now." You nodded your head yes only for Natasha to turn her attention to Loki who had a big stack of pancakes he had gotten from Clint. "Boyfriend," she called to Loki, "if you hurt her you will have me to deal with."
"I am fully aware of that." Loki replied in a gentleman's tone, "I would never hurt the lady a care for, you have my word." Natasha hummed in acceptance of Loki's words, giving you a smirk before going to get her breakfast.

        After breakfast you and Loki were on your couch relaxing. You had yourself cuddled up to your boyfriend watching an old cartoon you watched when you were a kid, 'Kim Possible,' while Loki was contently reading a book. That was until Thor burst into the room.
       "Congratulations brother!" Thor boomed smiling down at the two of you. "I knew lady (y/n) would accept your courtship." Loki glared at his bother as you paused your TV show, before Loki could say something rude you spoke.
          "Thanks Thor." You told him politely, "what brings you down here?"
         "To congratulate my brother of course." Thor boomed, "But there is another bit of information I must give. Father and Mother want us back to Asgard to plan the Harvest Ball." Thor told his brother, Loki rolled his eyes and huffed.
          "Is that this year." He asked like the ball was anything but fun.
         "Yes indeed it is brother. Father and mother want us back to help start planing the festivities. It is your royal duty as a prince of Asgard to help plan out and attend the ball." Thor told his bother before he could start complaining.
         "Sorry to interrupt," you butted in, "But what is the Harvest Ball?"
         "Every century Asgard puts on a Harvest Ball for the nine realms." Loki explained to you, "the royal family from each realm comes to participate in the festivities and celebrate another hundred years of peace. Of corse not everyone comes, Midgardians have never been invited, and the frost giants don't ever come, but most of the realms royalty comes. It is a long and boring few weeks." Loki complained to you.
"Yes," Thor agreed with Loki's explication, "and father and mother want us back to Asgard tomorrow at the latest." Thor informed his brother.
"You want me to leave my Lady right when we start dating to go plan some boring ball?" Loki asked in disgust, "I do not believe I will."
"Loki," said kindly turning to face him before him and Thor could start arguing over this, "if what Thor said was right it's your duty to do so. I will be fine for a few days without you, I can take care of myself after all."
"I know," Loki said sounding more like a moody child then a prince, "But I just got you..."
"And I will still be yours when you come back." You told him, "it's your duty to your people."
Loki sighed knowing you were right, even if he didn't want to leave you.

The next day came too fast you decided as you were seeing Loki off. The team was with you wishing the brother luck on Asgard.
"I will see you in just a few weeks." Loki told you reassuring himself more then he was reassuring you. He didn't want to leave you after he had just found you, you made him feel happy and loved, he didn't want to go back home were rumors have been spread about him.
"I know," you told him, "and I will be here waiting for you." You saw his fear of going back home in his eyes, even if he would never admit it. You stood on your toes giving him a kiss. "It will be fine Loki." You told him your voice gentle. Loki leaned in to kiss you but before he did Thor grabbed his brother by the shoulder dragging him into the forever etched circle on the ground where the bifrost opened up regularly.
"We must get going." Thor scolded his brother when he tried to complain about his treatment. Thor rose his hammer to the sky calling for Heimdall. Not a moment latter a rainbow light came out of the sky taking the two brothers back to Asgard.
