Loki - Unexpected Holiday
About: Loki is forced to go on a holiday with the Avengers, but he hasn't told them why he is hesitant to go with them. The night before the big day, he reveals his secret. He has a girlfriend, you, and there is something else. You're pregnant...
The Avengers sat at the kitchen table, making the last decisions before leaving on their well-earnerd holiday.
Loki just happened to walk in on them, he had something to confess - or ask, he wasn't sure himself yet. Taking a long sip of his herbal tea, he drew the conversation out. He fumbled with his tie, smoothing the fabric before taking a seat next to Natasha.
She smiled at him, before returning her gaze to Tony.
"So, we leave, tomorrow after lunch?" she asked, twirling a strand of fiery red hair around her finger.
"Mhm," Tony hummed, stirring his cup of coffee and looking up at Bruce. "You'll be able to handle the long road, buddy? Without turning green?" Bruce licked his lips and looked down, slightly embarrassed perhaps.
"Uhm, yes, I guess so," he mumbled. Stark smiled, nodding.
"Alright, that's settled then, let's go to bed, everyone, we'll need to be fresh tomorrow," Tony said, closing the file that held everyone's pasports. They all stood up, and Loki's instinct kicked in.
Say something, he thought.
Loki cleared his throat, curling his fingers around the cup in a nervous gesture. Tony raised an eyebrow, looking at the God with suspicion.
"Want to say something, Mischief?" They halted their actions, gazes fixed on the God in his black suit. Loki swallowed thickly, running a hand through his hair and then folding them together in his lap.
"Well..." He sought for the right words, tantalizing their curiosity. "If I'm not mistaken, there is one extra spot left in one of the vans, right?"
"Yes," said Tony, stashing his glasses away in his pockets. "Why do you ask? Got a dead body to hide somewhere?"
"That's not funny, Tony," Thor defended. "Loki is a good guy now." He gave his brother a thumbs up and Loki gave a nod.
"No, no dead bodies, promise," Loki mumbled, swiftly taking anther sip of his tea. "I - uhm..."
"Just spill it," Natasha spurred on, grinning.
"Can I bring someone with me?" All of their eyes widened and they settled in their seats again. Alright, Loki got their attention. He wanted this to work out.
"Who?" Thor asked, squinting his eyes at his brother. Loki licked his lips, a smile playing around the corners of his mouth as he averted his gaze to his hands in his lap.
"Just a... my," he mumbled something under his breath. Tony leaned slightly forward on his elbows, all ears.
"What was that?" he questioned. "Didn't catch that." Loki's ears turned scarlet.
"My girlfriend," he muttered, this time loud enough for them to hear. Their eyes turned as big as plates.
"Like, a real girlfriend?" Thor asked. "Mortal?" Loki glared at him, crossing his arms over his chest, gaining confidence through the conversation.
"Is it some muderous Goddess?" Natasha asked with suspicion. Loki sighed, rolling his eyes.
"A real woman, and no, no murderous Goddess." Tony laughed, and started nodding.
"Sure, Reindeer Games. You can take your woman with us."
"What's her name? If you don't mind me asking, mister Loki," Peter blended into the conversation, a smile tugging at his lips. Loki smiled and blushed some more, biting his lips before uttering:
"Y/N."
"Alright, now that we know Mischief here has a girlfriend, we should go to sleep," Stark reminded them again. "Mischief, a girlfriend, mhm, explains the sneaking out at night."
"Just one more thing," interrupted Loki, bringing a fist to his lips as he frowned in thought. They're heads snapped back to him. His eyes met Tony's. "The holiday we're going on... is it - is it baby proof?"
"What?" Natasha shrieked, gasping with surprise, a huge smile on her lips.
"Yes, indeed. What?" boomed Thor. "What do you mean by 'baby proof'?" He scowled at his brother. Loki scratched the back of his neck.
"No, no, I didn't mean it like that, I meant... is it like - uhm - pregnant lady proof?" he tried to correct himself. His heart fluttered as his secret life was finally out. A weight fell off his shoulders.
"What?" Thor squeaked.
"Mister Loki?" Peter said shocked, his mouth agape. Loki pressed his lips together, supressing a smile as he scratched his chin.
"So, let me get this straight, Lackey," said Tony, shaking his head with confusion. "You just told us you had a girlfriend, told us she's pregnant, just a few hours before leaving on a holiday?"
Loki nodded.
"Why, brother? Why didn't you tell me?" said Thor, a little disappointed. "I would like to meet her." Loki rolled his eyes.
"You'll meet her tomorrow," Loki said with a shrug, taking a sip of his tea. "But to answer my question, Stark, is the holiday pregnant lady proof?" Tony's face had paled and he nodded.
"I think so."
"This is amazing!" said Natasha as she clapped her hands together. "When is she due?" Loki smiled at her, glad that someone in the team was excited about his little one.
"She's only five months pregnant," Loki said. Thor wailed.
"Five months? And I've known of nothing!" Loki rolled his eyes as he dramatically held a hand to his forehead, pretending to run a fever.
"How long have you known her, mister Loki?" Peter inquired, supporting his chin upon his elbow, grinning at the new information.
"For about a year... The baby was an accident."
"What a happy surprise!" Natasha said. "I wish I had a baby."
"A year! And I've noticed nothing!" Thor whined, throwing his upper body on the table, head in his arms. Loki sighed as the Avengers stared at Thor.
"Ignore him," Loki drawled. "His hammer pulls him off." He snickered when Thor threw him a glare from across the table.
The next day around noon, everyone was seated at the kitchen - Tony had ordered their meals - when Loki got a text on his phone. Natasha's smile brightened and Peter leaned in closer to Loki to read the text.
I'm downstairs, what floor are you at? xx
"She's here!" Peter squealled.
Loki send a text back.
Thirteenth floor, I'll be waiting at the elevator xx
"Aww, their sending kisses at the end of their texts!" Natasha said, winking at Loki with a smile. He stood up and went to the elevator, waiting for you.
The doors slid open with a ding, revealing you standing in a nice summer dress, wearing a smile. Loki sighed in contentment, and pulled you in an embrace.
"God, I missed you," you whispered as you wrapped your hands around his neck, pecking him on the lips. He chuckled lowly, hands resting on the small of your back.
"It's only been two days." He bend down again, taking your lips in a slow and thoughtful kiss. Your heart fluttered as he mischieviously traced your bottom lips with his tongue. You took in a sharp breath, pulling away for breath.
"You know I can't live without you, love," you whispered as you took your suitcase, towing it out of the elevator. Loki frowned and took it from you, carrying it towards the kitchen.
"Ready to meet the family?" he chuckled as you hugged your arms, growing nervous with every second.
"Not really. What if they don't like me?" you asked, looking up at him. He smiled and took your hand in his, kissing your knuckles as you now walked into the kitchen. He bend down close to your ear and whispered:
"They'll love you." A smile spread across your lips as the Avengers turned in their seats, grinning from ear to ear.
"Oh my God!" Peter screamed. He got off his chair and ran towards you, panting a little when he held out his hand for you to shake. "Nice to meet you Y/N!" You giggled, taking his hand and shaking it.
"Hello, you must be Spider-man," you said, as you remembered correctly. Peters eyes widened and he looked back at Tony.
"She knows me!" he squealled excited. He tiptoed back to his chair as Loki led you to the table. You shifted awkwardly on your feet, all of their eyes piercing through your body.
"Hi, I'm Natasha." She waved at you, then eyed your belly. "I'm an excellent babysit, if you ever need one." You smiled at her, she seemed really kind.
"Thank you, Natasha." You looked at the other Avengers. "I'm Y/N, nice to meet everyone." You blushed when Tony opened his mouth.
"Well, Mischief, that's a lovely surprise. Better than a murderous Goddess, isn't it?" he remarked. Loki rolled his eyes.
"We should eat," Bruce said, eyeing his watch. "The vans will be here in half an hour."
Thor cleared his throat, standing up, his brows slihtly raised as he approached you. You gave him a smile as he took your hand and kissed your knuckles.
"I'm Thor, Loki's brother," he told you.
"Oh, yeah, Loki told me a lot about you," you said, wondering why he wasn't letting go of your hand.
"Oh, really?" Thor faked a laugh, sending a hint of a glare Loki's way. You raised an eyebrow. "Loki never mentioned you. I didn't know you existed until last night." You eyed your lover.
"I'm sorry, that's my fault, Thor. I wanted it to be a secret for awhile." Thor's eye twiched.
"Almost a year is not awhile, last time I checked, but anyway, Lady Y/N, I'm glad I met you. Please, take a seat next to me and Peter." He led you to the kitchen table and made sure you were comfortable, while Loki threw his hands up, trying to figure out why everyone - Thor, Peter and Natasha - were trying to steal his girlfriend.
Thor and Peter were stroking your belly.
"Hello, little one," Thor squeaked. "I'm uncle Thor. We'll be really close once you'll be born. I already love you so much." His big hand ran up and down your tummy.
You eyed Loki, who took a seat in front of you.
"Help," you mouthed. He laughed and shook his head, rearranging his spoon.
"And I'll be your best friend. We'll make lots of fun together," Peter added. Loki watched with an amuzed expression on his face.
"Food's ready!" Tony said as he placed a salad in front of everyone. Loki stabbed his lettuce, squinting down at it.
"Stark?" he called, taking your plate from you before you could devour it. You frowned, you were starving.
"What's wrong?" Tony asked, slurping his tomato into his mouth.
"How many times have you washed the vegetables?" He licked his lips as he sniffed your salad, while you were waiting for him to give it back to you. Stark shrugged.
"Once." Loki shook his head.
"She can't eat it then," he stated. Tony raised his eyebrow.
"I spend a lot of time preparing these, Mischief. Why can't she eat them?" Tony inquired, frowning at his delicious salad. Loki pressed his lips together, holding up a finger, eyes wide.
"Let me explain it to you," he said, grabbing your bowl of salad and some salt and pepper. "The salad is the baby, these," he gestured to the salt and pepper, "are the vegetables." He started putting salt in the salad.
"Hey, come on, my perfectly cooked salad," Stark whined.
"Vegetables contains bacteria, which are bad for the baby and the mother," Loki explained, switching to the pepper. "And - uhm..." He reached for Stark's soup.
"My soup-" Tony said weakly.
"The soup resembles all the contaminated vegetables, which could kill the baby." He finished his explanation while pouring the soup on top of your vegetables. "See, ruined. That's why I want clean vegetables for my girl."
You stared at your ruined salad, Stark did the same.
"That's why you get this, love," Loki said, conjuring a new plate with some cooked pasta. You smiled at him, giving him a wink.
"Thank you, Loki," you whispered as you took a bite. Loki returned the wink, your gazes never broke. You stared at him the whole meal, smiling as you ate, until later on the vans arrived and you all got in the cars, ready to go on the trip they had planned out for you.
I might do a part two on this because I loved writing it ;)
Hope you enjoyed it as well
Have a nice day everyone!
