Loki - Broken bones and hearts

You walked along Thor and Jane on a rough landscape, covered in snow and sharp rocks. A dark figure appeared in the distance and Thor squeezed his eyes. Jane clung onto his arm and you stood beside them, in your high heels and short dress, shivering with the awful weather.

If you had know this...

Jane had forced you to go to a party first, squeezed you into this navy dress and glued those shoes onto your feet. But the cherry on the cake was Thor dragged you and your best friend off to another Realm. You trembled as the cold slashed your skin.

The figure approached you - and you gasped. It was the God that attacked New York a couple years ago. You gritted your teeth and hugged Thor's body from behind to get some warmth, and perhaps to escape the dangerous man's view.

"Brother!" Loki hissed as he came to a stop before Thor.

"Ah, uhm, hello brother," Thor said while scratching the back of his head. Loki let his gaze slither to Jane, who frowned at him, as if disgusted by his mere presence. "I have these two lovely Ladies with me." Loki clenched his teeth.

"Two?" he sneered, letting his eyes roam over the landscape. You swallowed the nerves and stepped from behind Thor, a blank expression on your face as you crossed your arms over your chest to stay warm. "What is this cunt doing here? I thought you only had one on Midgard."

"Hey!" you defended with clattering teeth. "First, my name is Y/N and I am not Thor's girlfriend. Understood, pal?" You glared up at him and he glowered down at you as if you were nothing that a stone he would love to kick out of his way.

"It will not survive the journey to Asgard, brother," he said. Thor let his head down, perhaps deciding that was to be your fate. Your mouth hung agape and you rubbed up and down your arms. "Even less chance on those ridiculous shoes." You suck in a deep breath to calm yourself, already promising yourself to hate on that man with every fiber you had in you.

"Brother, don't say that in front of her," Thor hushed. "I have some other clothes for her in my backpack."

"Can I change now. I'm freezing," you huffed, squinting your eyes at him for not telling you earlier.

"No, we mustn't keep father waiting. We cannot afford to lose any more time. Get it moving," Loki said with a dismissive gersture towards you.

"Loki," Thor sighed while petting Jane hair. "Be nice to her. She's a living human. She has feeling."

"Seems like he doens't," Jane remarked, which Thor chuckled at. Loki send you a glare and marched away from you guys. Thor gave you a toothy grin.

"You heard the old man. We must move," Thor mocked his brother, who growled a few feet in front of him.

The cold bit your bare feet in the ridiculous slippers you wore, you were absolutely positive your toes would freeze off before you reached a the palace.

"Thor," whined, but you got cut off by Loki.

"Can you make it move faster, brother?" he snapped. Thor sighed and gave you an apologetic look, mouthing an "I'm sorry."

"We could carry them?" Thor said while already picking up Jane, one hand under her knees, the other supporting her back as he held her close to his chest. He kissed the top of her head and she snuggled closer to him in response.

Loki scrunched up his nose, but was obviously too vexed to let you keep up this pace and swung you over his shoulder. You yelped, shivered as your face his his lower back.

Your dress crept up to your thighs, his fingers dug firmly into your calves and hip as he carried you over the landscape.

"Can you just not?" you yelled, bouncing against his backside every step he took. He snickered.

"Do you want me to drop you?" he sneered, loosening his grip on you.

"No!" you protested.

"Brother, stop taunting her," Thor interjected into your conversation, if you could call it one. Loki huffed and held you tight, too tight. Bruises would be found the next morning you would wake up and you scowled at his footsteps he left in the snow.

That night, Thor led you into a cave, where you could stay for the night.

"There we go. What do you think, Jane?" Thor asked her as he carefully placed her down before embracing her.

"It's fine, Thor," she whispered before kissing his lips. Loki gagged at their interaction. You shrieked when he let go off you and you stretched your hand to break your fall. A sharp rock cut into your palms and a drop of blood slid down your wrist.

"You dipshit!" you yelled at him. Thor's eyes widened.

"Y/N, do yourself a favour and don't mess with him," Thor whispered. You fumed at that.

"And let him walk over me like that! No, I will not," you spat. Loki stepped in front of you and peered down, his brows furrowed in a scowl.

"I would love to do a lot more things than just walk over you right now. Consider yourself lucky Thor is here to safe your ass," he spit. "Why can't you be scared of me like others, you mewling quim?" You glared at him and shoved him out of your way, to stroll over to Jane, who opened her arms for you.

Thor cleared his voice and put off his backpack, and held out a blanket for you. You smiled at that and wrapped the blanket around you before someone tore it from your body and wrapped it around himself. Thor gave you an assuring smile.

"Do not worry, Lady Y/N," he soothed, stroking your back. "I have fresh clothes for you and you can share our blanket, can she not, darling?" Thor said with a nod to Jane.

"Of course you can. You're my best friend," she said with a wink at you. You smiled.

When you put on some nice woollen socks, a simple jeans that would keep your legs warm and a sweater that hugged your body, you settled next to the cuddling couple. Thor pulled you closer so the blanket covered you entirely.

You struggled with the blanket for awhile. Thor sighed.

"Loki. You'll have to share the blanket. It doesn't cover us all," Thor explained with a strict eye to his little brother. Loki glared at him through the dark cave. "Besides, mortals are quite warm. It will be like one of mother's warm water bottles. Just like in the past, you remember?"

A sigh rolled off Loki's lips. Thor nodded at you and you got up.

"Go, Y/N," he said, waving his hands towards his brother. Your face contorted as you stood at Loki's side, his eyes pierced yours, his eyebrows in a judging frown. You laid down next to him and took the edge of the sheet between your hesitant fingers.

He had it in a vice grip.

"Can you please act a little mature and give me some of it too?" you growled. He didn't reply so you tugged at it, but he didn't let go. You pulled, snatched and jerked at the blanket before giving up and glaring at him. "I am not freezing to death tonight, you punny God."

You brought your hands up to his ribs and he rose a challenging eyebrow.

"Good luck trying to get it off me," he said, then gasped in shock as you tickled his ribs and tummy until he eventually had to let go, jaw clenched tightly when you rolled over with ther blanket around you. You stuck your tongue out, a satisfying grin on your lips as you draped the other end of the blanket around him.

"One for me," you said with a giggle. He growled and rolled on top of you, his hand covering your mouth and nose, cutting off your air supply. Your eyes widened and you tried to pry his hand off. He frowned and and lowered his hand, so you could breath.

Your breathing quickened when he buckled his hips against yours. You took in a sharp breath and he bend down to your ear, giving the lobe a flick of his tongue. You squeaked and he chuckled darkly.

His teeth scraped along your skin to your neck to the base of your throat, where he began sucking hard. You squirmed underneath him, placing your hands on his shoulder - to reject him or pull him closer, you weren't sure yet. You moaned silently against his hand, a muffled sound that wouldn't reach the ears of the innocent.

"Look pet, I hate it when I get disrespected," he rasped against your throat, biting down. You yelped and squeezed your eyes shut.

"Me too," you whined at he pressed himself against you. Even through the layers of fabric separating you, you felt his erection.

"Shut up when I'm talking to you, pet. Human being should obey a God like me," he sneered. That hit a nerve and you stilled beneath him as he continued his assault on your neck, sucking and biting.

Anger rose as you repeated his statement like a mantra. Your jaw clenched and your hands flexed on his shoulders, wanting to shove him away, but not having the strenght to.

He groaned and rubbed himself against you. You growled with ire and you slapped him across the face.

"Don't fucking touch me," you whispered. "I do not obey anyone. Is that clear?" His eyes seemed surprised, as if he actually thought you were going to give in after him saying that. Rage flared in your gut. "Certainly not to someone like you."

With that you did succeed in shoving him off you and turned around to face a sleeping Thor and Jane, entwined in each other's arms.

When you woke up the next day, Thor and Jane were already up and Loki was laying miles away from you. You got up and so did Loki once Thor took out the food out of the backpack.

Loki bumped against your shoulder. You were still waiting for your piece of bread when Thor started speaking.

"We have to split up." Your eyes widened. No! That was a bad idea! And there was no way you were leaving alone with Loki! "I'm sorry Y/N. But there are a lot of dangerous animals around and it's safer to travel in pairs of two." Loki sighed and rubbed his temples.

"It's fine, brother," Loki said, bored out of his mind. Thor pointed an accusing finger at him.

"I swear if she's dead before she reaches Asgard I'll find you and kill you. This woman means a lot to Jane." Loki only rolled his eyes and huffed with a look of disdain towards you.

"Deal." Thor nodded and gave Loki the bread.

"Jane and I are leaving now. Give us a head start," he said. Loki nodded, looking at you with his nose curled in disgust as you fidgeted with your fingers.

Once Thor and Jane were out of sight, and clearly out of mind, Loki turned to you with a mischievous smirk adorning his features.

"Are you hungry?" the corners of his mouth widened in a grin. "Pet?" You nodded and walked over to him, your hand reaching out to the piece in his. He held the bread right in front of yoru eyes and tore a small piece from it, not even half of it.

He threw it behind you and looked where it landed. Yes, right there. In the most dusty place in the cave. Why not?

"Catch it, my pet," he snickered while devouring some of the bread still in his hands. You held a straight face and kept his gaze.

His smirk faltered as you outstared him and he cleared his throat while averting his eyes to the fallen piece of food.

"I don't want it," you whispered before storming off out of the cave and watching how the fresh snow was still untouched, just Jane and Thor's footsteps.

When Loki finally came out of the cave, he didn't catch your attention like he had wanted. You only stared at the landscape, pissed at him for treating you in such way.

He held out the piece of bread to you, but you neglected it.

"It's not the one that fell on the floor," he said softly. You rolled your eyes and looked at him.

"You threw it on the ground." With that you crossed your arms over your chest and started walking. He snickered.

"The other way, pet," he said with a smug grin. Gritting your teeth, you turned around and marched towards the other way, wishing you had a jacket with you all the time during your walk.

Your legs shook beneath your body and your breathing was hollow.

"I'm cold," you whined as you walked into his footsteps. He sighed and turned around with a glare. "Can I have the blanket?"

"No, you cannot," he told you, his eyes roming over your trembling form.

"But I'm really cold. And it will only take a minute," you tried, teeth clattering together as you looked up at him with pleading eyes. He turned back around and huffed, already marching away from you with great strides that kept you jogging behind him.

You didn't eat this morning and your body was draining all of the remaining energy that was left.

"You are so selfish. Thor told me you're a Frostgiant you know," you said while wrapping your arms around yourself. He turned on his heel and glowered down at you, his eyebrows bend into a frown and his upper lip curled in disdain. "You do not even consider how I feel," you went on. "I'm am human and I'm stuck with you in this freezing landscape and I'm cold. So, please, take two bloody minutes of your existence to hand me a blanket."

You refused to take a step back as he took a stride towards you.

"No one tells me what I should or should not do, mortal," he hissed, his hot breath fanning over your face as he bend down. "Thor might have threatened my, wants me to take you to Asgard alive, but that doens't mean I do not want to see you suffer."

You cocked up an eyebrow, not really surprised by his answer, but yet anger elicited in your chest and you snapped.

"Bastard," you bit. "Do not think that you're better than me because you're a couple of feet taller or just because I'm human!" His eyes darkened. "You don't stand above me! Why can't you be as friendly like Thor said you were? Am I that horrible?"

His hand shot out and clasped around the collar of your sweater. He yanked you against his body and you gasped. While his other hand firmly grasped your chin and made you look at him, he bend down next to your ear.

"You are indeed the most disgusting human being I've ever met in my life. I despise you and for that, I do not care if you live or die. In fact, I won't hesitate to kill you. For that matter, I could tell Thor you fell of a cliff. "

Your mouth hung agape as he swung your body back and forth. Tears blurred your vision as he finally let go of you and you fell on the stone ground, your knee scraping against it. Your arm faltered against the sharp rocks and you gasped, the raw air setting your lungs aflame.

A laugh rumbled in his chest and your bottom lip trembled as he bend down to your level, wrenching you up. You whimpered and a tear rolled over your cheek.

"Ah, now you're scared of me," he mused. You tried to scamble away, but he hauled you up by your hair, the sting eliciting a cry from you. "Walk, mortal. Don't stop before I tell you to."

Holding on to your throbbing arm, you noticed blood staining the slashed clothing. You put your hand over it to cover it up, not wanting to look vulnerable to him.

As much as you tried to be angry at him, you couldn't. There wasn't a spot left for that as glum shadowed those thoughts.

Your vision started to blur and you realized you were terribly hungry. The cold seemed to tear your skin appart. And not eating breakfast was a bad idea, because you stumbled on your feet and fell into the soft snow as everything turned black.

Loki sighed and walked over to you, his foot jabbing your ribs.

"Come on, cunt. I have no time for this. Get up," he sneered. He frowned, rolled his eyes and marched on. "I'm leaving now. Get up or I'll leave you alone." You didn't react and he huffed, walking further.

After a few moments, he looked back and stood completely still. His heart hammered in his chest and his breathing got heavier as he ran back to you and sunk to his knees.

"Mortal," he snapped, tapping your cheek. "Mortal? Come on, it's not funny." He growled, frustrating building inside him.

"Fuck," he whispered.

He sat back on his calves and stared at you, then over the empty landscape for a sign of Thor or Jane, but neither of them could be seen. His head snapped bakc to you and he leaned in to you, bringing his face to yours to see if you where breathing.

A wave of relief washed over him when you did and he quickly put the backpack next to him and took out the blanket he didn't want to take out at first. He cursed himself for letting things escalate and wrapped the fur around your frame.

His hands shook your shoulders.

"Mortal? Hey, come on, wake up," he tried, the smallest bit of desperation clear in his voice.

When you didn't react, he let his eyes search the landscape, but there was no one he could call for help.

"Don't leave me now, don't die, please," he rambled, shaking your shoulders a little harder. "Please, don't..." You moved your head to the side, mumbling something incoherent. He briefly closed his eyes and tapped your cheek. You lazily opened your eyes, but closed them again.

"Cold," you whispered. He nodded, lost his ability to speak in that moment.

"I know." He wrapped the blanket closer around you, while putting the backpack on and stared at you. "You passed out, mortal."

"Mhm."

He slipped one arm undder your knees while the other curled around your waist and picked you up while adjusting the blanket to keep you warm. Your breathing clouded in the cold air as you slowly took in your surroundings again.

You didn't want to be here anymore, so you closed your eyes and leaned against his shoulder.

"Mortal?" he said calmly, rubbing your back. "Stay awake for me, please."

"Tired," you muttered.

"I know, I'll search for a place to sleep. Okay?" You shrugged, not caring about a thing he said. Your eyes drooped shut and Loki frowned.

"I said, stay awake," he snarled. Eyes flying open, you tensed in his grip and instant regret wracked his body. You squirmed in his arms, attempting to get away from him, but his arms aruond you tightened."No, it's fine," he soothed.

Loki had found a cave, a slightly smaller than the previous one, but still large enough to hide a Giant and a human from the bitter cold. He slowly got on his knees and put you down in the middle of the cave.

The backpack not being far away from you, he took out the small piece of bread that was left and handed it to you. You hesitantly took it from his fingers and looked up at him.

"What about you?" you asked with a strained voice. He shook his head and gave you a half smile.

"I'll eat tomorrow, in Asgard. We should arrive tomorrow evening." You eyed the piece of bread and then let your gaze slip back towards him.

"Did you - did you poison it?" you whispered. His face fell and he took the food out of your hands, tearing a small piece from it and putting it in his own mouth. While chewing and swallowing, he handed you back the bread.

"I did not poison it, mortal." The way he called you, didn't sound insulting anymore, but you still prefered him to use your real name. Sitting up, you brought the food to your mouth and took a small bite from it. The blanket slid from your torse into your lap.

His eyes roamed over your tattered clothes and now he noticed you were bleeding.

"You're bleeding," he murmered. Your eyes met his and you stopped chewing, using the blanket to hide it from him, but he took your arm in his hands and examined the wound and the slashed sleeve. "Why didn't you tell me?" A pang of guilt struck him and he met your gaze. "Because you're scared of me now." His voice was layered in emotions you didn't understand and it sealed your lips.

He sighed and ran his thumb over your arms, which you flinched at.

"Will you allow me to take care of your injuries?" he said, his voice on the very edge of cracking as his heart throbbed. You shrugged, unable to speak. His eyes landed upon the ripped jeans and your scrathed knees.

You put the bread down in your lap and took of your sweater, leaving you in your T-shirt - you shivered. Loki noticed and conjured a fire next to you. You bathed in the warm glow of it and you gave him a glum smile as his eyes focused on the gaping wound on your arm.

He rummaged through the backpack and found some bandages. Taking your arms between his hands, he started to pluck the small pebbles and you whimpered, sucking in a sharp breath between your teeth.

"Almost done, mortal," he whispered as he finished. He took a white bandage from its package and started wrapping it around your arm. "There you are."

"Thanks," you muttered, laying back down, turning your head to look at the magic flames dancing in front of your eyes. His eyes roamed over your knees and he cleared his throat.

"Would you mind if I - your knees?" you looked at him while taking a bite from the dry bread. "Can I take off your... uhm? You're... uhm... I need to... knees?"

You nodded and unbuttoned your jean, pulled the zipper down with it before focussing on your bread again. His shaky hands slid your jeans off your legs and he sprawled them out next to the fire, so they would be warm when you put them on again.

"He first cleaned your wound, which you hissed at.

"I'm sorry, it's just-"

"It's fine," you assured him, chewing on the last bit of bread. He covered your knees with bandages and smiled at you when he was done. You yawned and he crawled on his hands and knees to your side.

He draped the blanket over the both of you and snuggled against your back, holding you close to his body.

"Mortal-?" he spoke softly.

"I have a name," you sighed. He gulped and it caused a pang in your chest.

"I..." Your eyes started to burn with tears and you buried your head in the fur, a muffled sob leavin your mouth.

"You don't remember?" you asked, although it was more like a glum statement. He remained silent.

The night had passed, but Loki didn't get much sleep. He wracked his brain to search for you name. He was certain you had an agrument about it two days ago. Every time he thought he remembered, it slipped right between his fingers and he started all over again.

When you woke up, you had said nothing, only put on your clothes before you both walked the last miles of your journey - and reached Asgard.

The sun shone bright and you started to warm up. But before you could fully enjoy it, Loki led you into the golden palace.

A woman you recognized as Frigga walked the same hall as you did and Loki stopped his his tracks, his hand moulding around yours as his mother greeted him.

"Ah, you are back to!" she said, clapping her hands together with a charming smile. The corners of your mouth curled up by just looking at her. Her eyes descended on you and you blushed, staring down at you feet. "Who is this, if I may ask? I don't recall Thor telling me about another lovely woman."

Loki hesitantly let his gaze slip to you.

"She is indeed a lovely woman," he murmered. Someone he did not know the name of. He bit his bottom lip and looked down at the floor in shame. Frigga frowned and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"You tell me some other time. Clean yourselves up first. I'll do wonders," she assured. "There is a feast tonight. If you may, Lady, you can join us." Your eyes flashed up to meet her, sparkling with joy.

"Okay," you whispered.

She then walked past you and Loki led you to his room, all gold and marble. You wished you had a couple more eyes so you could take in more of the details.

"Is this your room?" you wondered as he let himself fall back on the velvet, green couch, throwing his head back, a sigh escaping him.

"Yes?" he said as you went to stand in front of him. You smiled and let your gaze glide around the room.

"It's beautiful," you muttered, fumbling with your hands before gathering all your courage and straddling him. You wrapped your arms around his neck and embraced him.

His breath caught in his throat and he carefully slid his arms around your waist, pulling you closer to him.

"It's Y/N," you whispered, leaning back slightly to meet his gaze. He frowned in confusion. "Y/N," you repeated. "That's my name." He let out a shaky breath and smiled. Without giving it a second thought, he kissed your lips. You closed your eyes, a hand cupping his cheek.

He pulled away, blushing.

"I'm sorry. I should not have-" You cut him off with a kiss, kissing him deeply and he moaned against your lips.

Slowly leaning back, you smiled, licking your tingling lips.

"Y/N," he repeated with watering eyes. He pulled you in a hug and held you. You snuggled your head in the crook of his neck while he tucked his chin in your hair, craddling you. "I'm growing attatched to you." You let out a soft giggle and he chuckled, the sound of it rustling through your hair.

"Me too. Especially when you're kind and caring," you whispered. He smiled and kissed the top of your head. And despite his previous behaviour towards you, you felt the luckiest woman in all the nine Realms. He showed, proved and convinced you that he could be caring and loving. And that he was the best lover of all times.

"What a beautiful name. Y/N."
