Don't stab me

You were in the Stark Tower as always, preparing some breakfast for all of the Avengers. Thor and Loki had just arrived on Midgard and you wanted to surprise them all with pancakes. Tony helped you, placing plates on the table.

'So what do you think Loki will be like? I mean, I know Thor, but I haven't met Loki yet,' you squeaked excited. Tony smirked as you flipped the pancake in the air and then caught it again.

'He's a bit of a pin in the ass,' Tony commented. You huffed.

'Have you met him,' you questioned. You didn't like how he judged him.

'Yes, we've met,' he chuckled. A few minutes later the Avengers came in the kitchen. You all sat at the kitchen table. The pancakes ready to be eaten.

'Steve! Don't touch anything until our guest have arrived,' you hissed, smacking his hand away from the pancakes. Natasha giggled at this. Then the elevator doors slid open and Thor walked in, dragging a raven haired man in the kitchen by his ear.

'Let go of me, you oaf. Aw!' the man angrily told Thor. You cocked up an eyebrow. 'I will not live with these mortals!' he hissed. You instantly felt bad for that man. You wanted to comfort him, but then again, he probably wouldn't allow a mortal to get near him. But either way, you tried.

'Hello.' You raised from your chair and walked to the two Asgardians. Thor let go of his brother's ear and the man you assumed was Loki, stood up straight gain. He gave you a look of disapproval. 'Hey Thor, Loki, nice to meet you.' Thor spread open his arms and you ran into them.

'Y/N! Oh, God I missed you so much. Did you cook something? It smells amazing,' he boomed.

'Yes, I did. I made pancakes. Come on, let's eat.' Thor let go of you and and ran to the kitchen table to greet the others. You turned to the extremely handsome man in front of you. 'Hi, I'm Y/N. I assume you are Loki?' you said nicely.

'Yes, Prince Loki for you, mortal,' he sneered before walking to the kitchen.

'Okay,' you sighed before returning to your spot at the table. Tony gave you an I-told-you-he-was-an-pain-in-the-ass-look.

'So, Thor, how are you,' Natasha asked, smiling at the God of Thunder. You decided to give a second try to Loki.

'Prince Loki?' you tried and catch his attention, but he ignored you. You frowned at him, but also noticed that no one else tried and look for any sort of communication with him, so you felt quite obligated to talk to him. 'I don't know you... would you mind telling something about yourself?' He threw you an annoyed look before eating his pancake and ignoring you again.

This went on for months. Every time you saw him, you felt your heart flutter. But he kept ignoring you and every one in the Tower. You understood that he didn't want to be here, but he could at least try and talk to someone to make his stay a little more pleasant for himself. Thor told you that he liked reading so you went to the nearest bookshop to buy the Harry Potter series, make him his favourite tea and head to his room. With the heavy bag of the books hanging on your shoulder and the tea in your hands, one for him and one for him, you knocked on the door.

Much to your surprise, he opened the door.

'What?' he rudely snapped. You decided to ignore that fact.

'Good evening, Loki,' you sang before inviting yourself in his room. He sighed and closed the door behind you, looking as you put your tea on his nightstand. 'I brought you a tea.' You handed him the tea and he grabbed it from you. He nodded and took a sip. You smiled.

'Are you leaving?'

'I- Not yet. I have a surprise for you,' you cheered. He cocked up an eyebrow.

'Oh dear. What now?' He sat down on his bed.

'Thor told me you liked books,' you started and you could tell this peaked his interest, but he did his best not to. 'So... I bought you my favourite serie. It's called Harry Potter,' you said excited.

'Thank you,' he said. You stared at him in shock at the small gesture.

'You're welcome.' You took your tea from the nightstand and took a sip.

'Get out,' he said monotone. Your face fell. 'Get out,' he repeated. You stared at him. 'I said get out!' You sat down on the bed and he got up, anger in his eyes.

'L-Loki... I was just trying to... I don't want you to feel lonely. You don't talk to anyone.'

'Get up from my bed! I need to sleep in that!' he snapped. You stood up.

'But... I thought if I bought you books you might open up to me...' your voice cracked and for a moment you could see his eyes soften, but not long before it vanished again. He slapped your cup of tea out of your hand, the tea spilling all over the floor and the cup shattering. You flinched.

'Get out! You mewling quim! I despise every single mortal in this entire building! Get out!' he yelled. Tears formed in your eyes.

'Okay... well... goodnight, Loki,' you tried to hold back the sobs. You reached for the door and opened it, but before you closed the door a loud sob escaped your mouth, so he definitely heard it. You cursed yourself for that and went to your room, and cried yourself to sleep.

Months went on. You avoided Loki since that night, but you couldn't help but still crushing on him, no matter what he would say, you still felt those butterflies whenever he was in view, but you hadn't spoken to him for months. One day you were sitting in the private library, reading Harry Potter, again, when you heard footsteps. You figured it would be Bruce, since he often joined your reading sessions, but when you looked up you froze in place. Tears immediately started to form again in your eyes as you remembered his harsh words. You had a dilemma: standing up or hiding your face in your book. You decided to hide in the book, you could always get up whenever you liked. You looked over to Loki, not even giving you a glance. So you hid your face back in the book, trying to focus on Dobby the House Elf.

'Are you not going to talk to me, pathetic mortal?' You remained quiet, not trusting your own voice as he was in the same room as you. You could now feel his eyes on you. He walked over to you and sat down next to you. 'Am I going to have to use the spell crucio to make you talk?' he said. In an almost... joking way. Your eyes widened. You looked at him, shocked.

'You've read them,' you whispered. He nodded.

'Yup.'

'Why?' Your voice was barely a whisper. He shrugged.

'The first book was rather good, so then I read the second one and before I knew I finished the seventh.' You nodded and got up. Normally, it would've cheered you up the fact that Loki was finally talking to you, but you couldn't help but feel sad. 'What's the matter?' he asked, like he... cared? You looked into his eyes and your eyes started to fill with tears. You got up and started to think about how he yelled at you. He couldn't just pretent that he didn't do that. He should apologize for that. 'Y/N?' he called, but you ignored him, running out of the library. You were angry with yourself for doing that and you butst out into tears. You crashed down into the corridor and Natasha rushed towards you when she heard your crying.

'Y/N?' She pulled you into a hug. 'Tell me what's wrong, love.' She wiped the tears from your cheeks and kissed your forehead.

'Natasha, I- I cannot do this anymore. He finally talked to le and now I ran away from him! I am such an idiot!' you sobbed.

'Oh, sweetheart!' She hugged you and that night, she stayed with you that night until you fell asleep.

The next day, the Avengers were discussing something. There was a lot of noise in the living room and you decided to take a look.

'I will not stay a minute longer on this sick planet!' Loki's voice shouted.

'Sick planet? You wanted to take over this sick planet!' Tony shot back.

'Why brother?' Thor's voice asked.

'Why brother? Why? Do you really have to ask? No one talks to me!' You felt your heart sting and you walked into the living room, standing behind Loki.

'Y/N tried talking to you for months!' Natasha interjected.

'I did,' your voice cracked. Loki looked back at you and took a moment to look at your sad face before anger took over again.

'Yeah, and what did you do yesterday? You walked away!' You started to tear up again.

'I didn't know how to react Loki... After you yelled at me... I was scared it would happen again...' you told him the truth. You left out the part that you were crushing on him.

'Oh yeah, of course. Come here, mortal!' He grabbed your neck and that alarmed the Avengers, but it was to late fir them to do anything after Loki held you in front of him and pressed his dagger against your neck. 'Nit a step closer,' Loki hissed at the Avengers. They all took a step back.

'Loki, please,' you whispered. The dagger was dangerously close now and your face started to blur because of the tears.

'Shut up. Thor, were is my spaceship?' Loki interrupted your begging. You whimpered as Loki put even more pressure on the dagger.

'Okay, okay, Loki, calm down, the ship is in Stark's basement. Let her go,' Thor answered. Loki chuckled in your ear.

'As you wish... I'll let her go,' Loki purred in your ear. He lowered the dagger, much to your relief. Natasha smiled at you, but then you felt a massive pain in your stomach. You screamed as Loki let go of you. You fell to the ground and looked at the dagger in your stomach. Loki ran towards the exit as Thor, Natasha and Tony rushed over to you. Blood was making it's way out of your body. Natasha tried to make it stop, but it was useless, you would die if you wouldn't have a miracle.

'Loki...' you called, only for Loki to turn back around and lock eyes with you. You whimpered, but didn't let go of his gaze. The next worlds came out hoarse out of your throat. 'I love you.' Loki's eyes widened in realization. He fully turned around and rushed over towards you, shoving the three Avengers away.

'Get out of my you you dimwits!' he cursed as he pulled out the dagger. He placed a hand on your stomach and pulled out the dagger. He then started to mouth words in a strange language. The blood rushed back into your body and you felt the scars fade and so did the pain, but you did felt dizzy. After you were fully healed, Loki could only gaze into your eyes and caress your cheek. You placed a hand over his.

'I love you,' you repeated as your chest rose and fell at a rapid speed. He gave you a weak smile. A sob escaped his lips and he buried his face into your chest. You started tearing up as well, just from seeing him cry.

'I-I love you too,' he whispered between sobs. You had barely noticed, Natasha dragged Thor and Tony out of the room, leaving you two alone. He then looked up and and his eyes locked with yours. You smiled and slowly got up, only to winch in pain and laying back down. Loki looked down at you and then at you lips. Your breath hitched in your throat at just that thought. 'May I?' You nodded.

He leaned down slowly and he stopped just before his lips were about to taste yours. He let his lips graze against yours before fully pressing them together. The kiss was tender and slow. You felt his lips move in sync with yours while your breaths mixed together. At that moment you felt so complete and you didn't want it to end. You two parted only for taking a few much needed breaths. He then chuckled and gave you another quick peck on the lips. You giggled. 'Maybe this planet isn't that bad. Allow me to bring you to my room to let you rest.'

'I would like that very much, Loki. I don't really want to be alone right now,' you purred into his ear as he picked you up. He smiled down at you as he carried you to his room.

'We can arrange that, Y/N,' he whispered into your ear and placing a kiss on top of your head.
