The snake

I lied on the couch of the Avengers Tower and read my book. Loki and I stayed home and passed on the mission for today, it was definitly time for a cozy afternoon. Rain was hitting the big windows behind me and I turned a page.
A movement at the door caught my eye. I looked up and a big snake slithered into the room, the green patterns almost glowing in the dim light of the lamps.
I smiled. "Hi, Loki."
Then I heard steps and Loki came into the room too.
My smile froze. "Oh my god." I jumped up. "Oh my god, it's a snake, Loki DO SOMETHING-"
Loki tried to keep calm but then he laughed for a good ten seconds and his normal form disappeared in a green light.
I looked at the snake which seemed  amused and I sat down again. "Very funny."
The snake wore a satisfied expression (if that was possible) and slithered in my direction. I opened my book and continued to read. After a while I noticed something heavy on my foot. I looked up and saw the snake crawling up my leg.
I laughed a little. "Loki. Always in need for attention, aren't you?"
The snake said nothing and wrapped itself around me. It happened faster than I expected and before I knew where I was I was trapped.
"Ey", I said.
The snake lifted its head and looked at me. I could swear it was smirking. Then it stretched its tongue out, like it did every few seconds, and accidently touched my jawline.
I shivered. "Loki, that tickles."
The snake leaned in closer and did it again.
I laughed and squirmed a little. "Loki. Stop licking me. Besides, it would be great if I could move my arms and legs again."
The snake kept its head in the air as if to think if it should really let me go. After it left me in anticipation for a few more seconds, it transformed into Loki with a green shimmer.
He layed on me and now his weight was the thing holding me down. His body clinged onto me and his arms were wrapped around my chest.
I looked into his green eyes before he put his head down on my chest. I smiled and let my hand run through his hair. Loki flinched briefly, then he let it happen.
I smiled again and massaged his head. I felt how he relaxed and his arms subtly hold me tighter. His breathing slowed down a little.
"Wow, you really needed that, didn't you?", I whispered.
"Mmh, yes", he hummed, "but you are the only one I am comfortable with touching me. Or more like ... oh, that's good ... the only one who doesn't laugh about me."
"Could it be more than that?", I asked.
Loki smirked. "I can hear your heartbeat getting faster. Don't act like that was a question you asked on the side."
I maybe blushed a little and my tummy started to tingle. "Your answer?", I asked nonetheless.
Loki chuckled. "Well ..." He paused. I was afraid he didn't feel the same, but then I realized he paused because he found it hard to admit his feelings too.  A pink colour crept up his cheeks.
"Aw, you are so cute", I giggled.
He looked up but didn't really manage to look menacing. "Thank god the others are on that mission", he mumbled. Then he leaned in.
Our lips touched and the feelings-cocktail in my tummy shot up to make me feel like jelly. It was a soft kiss, but a good one. His lips weren't demanding or dominating, we were simply in harmony. We touched amd caressed each other, the feelings that filled us were each like a gift for the other. The more heated kisses were for later.
"I like you so much", Loki murmured after we broke the kiss. His eyes wandered over my face.
I looked at him and finally found the strength to move again. "I like you too, you little snake."
Loki grinned. "Actually I have a very big -"
"Don't break the moment", I interrupted him. We laughed and closed our distance in another kiss.

I think I am in love with the 'Loki-as-animals' trope. There are just so many possibilitys! Even if they always end up half-asleep on top of each other ... but we all love a sleepy Loki, so so what. Anyway, have a great week :)
