Cat ears
Loki and I sat on the couch in the Avengers Tower, both reading again. The others went shopping, and we managed to stay at home to enjoy a bit of silence.
My book jumped perspectives, and at the moment it focused on the character who's life I really wasn't interested in. I sighed and turned a page, then I noticed something from the corner of my eyes.
Loki sat on the other end of the couch. Well, that was not what I was noticing, I knew that, but his hair moved. I stared at it, and I saw how two cat ears slowly grew out of his head.
I watched him with an open mouth, he seemed to not notice anything. The ears twitched a little like he heard something, then they stood still again. My glance fell on the book he was reading. It was a childrens book I knew he took from his last visit of Asgard. And on the cover was a cat.
I giggled.
Loki didn't move, but I couldn't stop laughing, and then he looked up. I could tell he was about to ask me if my book was funny and then saw that I wasn't reading anymore.
"What are you laughing about?"
I giggled more. "You don't know?"
Loki knit his brows. "Is it about me?"
I laughed more, despite trying desperatly to suppress it. "No."
Loki lowered his book and looked at me in an amused and annoyed way. "What did I do?"
I shook my head.
"Tell me, or I will make you."
His smirk sent shivers down my spine. "Really? Sure you don't want to catch mice instead?"
Now he looked really confused. He opened his mouth and suddenly noticed my eyes going up his head. Loki froze and stroke with his hand over his hair. He caught the ears and made a face.
I burst out laughing.
Loki grew back the ears and blushed a little. "Very amusing", he said sarcastically. "You see, shape-shifting comes with a price."
"What, of transforming from a full grown warrior into a little catboy?"
Loki's eyes began to look mischievous. "What did you say?"
But I was too occupied with laughing than noticing his slight change of voice.
Loki threw away his book and quickly pinched me in the side.
I squealed and hopped away.
Loki closed the distance and crawled on my lap. "Nobody makes fun of me like that."
I giggled in a high, panicked voice. "No, please!"
"Too late", he whispered and started tickling me.
I screamed and fought to get out of his grip, but he just used my movement to bury me deeper in his grasp.
"Did you say catboy?", he asked with glimmer in his eyes. "You sound more like a cat to me. I wonder where it will be worse? Ah, here ..."
"Please!", I yelled between fits of laughter as his hands wandered deeper and were stuck between his upper body and me. "Loki! I surrender! Help!"
"Nobody here to help you, darling ...", he whispered into my ear. "Only you at my mercy ..."
A small moan slipped between my laughter. Loki stopped and stared at me in wonder. "Was that a moan?"
"No!", I said with a face looking like a tomato. I mean, I was kind of loving every second of this, but it was also an agony. "Please! I didn't mean it. Loki, no ..."
Loki's mischievous eyes looked in mine and I would have blushed more if that was possible. "So it was a moan?"
"No! I-" But I couldn't finish. His hands were back at work.
"Say it was a moan, say the truth, darling, say it ...", he hummed in my ear.
"Please okay okay IT WAS A MOAN ARE YOU HAPPY NOW STOP!"
His hands stopped. "Yes, I am happy."
I looked at his evil grin. "I can tell."
He snickered. "Play with fire and you'll get burned."
I pouted. When he moved his hands, I quickly grabbed a hold of them. "Not again."
Loki giggled. "I wasn't going to. But it's nice like this."
I looked down and noticed that I held his hand in a very couple-like way. My glance went back to his face.
He smirked. "What do you want now?"
My breath hitched. "D-don't you know?"
His smirk grew into a smile. "I think I know exactly." Then he bend down and kissed me.
